  1. I have the Toy Biz Deadpool as well. Never touched it out of the packaging, lol, but I can say that this Hasbro Deadpool is a great step in the right direction. Nice touches to the figure not seen on the origical. Maybe this Marvel Legends hiatus was taken not to scrap the line, but rather to give Hasbro a chance to work on scuplts and concepts, promote the 3 3/4" line and to get out of the Toy Biz shadow. If they take time to produce quality product and make this line "theirs", then it's worth the wait. maybe they realize that having fans posting nostalgic and in praise about a Hasbro Legends line is something they actually want. When the final products start arriving and we have definite quality waves, then a believer I will be.
  2. very true. But because a character at its base form may be based on another, it dosent't mean that they stay exact clones. Sabertooth, for example. Was based on wolverine, but took on his own identity, skills, personality, etc...
  3. Ah I stand corrected, Darkseid came first. I guess the similarities in their cosmic nature, their appearance somewhat.
  4. yup, the taskmaster was the original photographic reflex endowed supervillain/mercenary and deathstroke the copy. Hmm would bullseye and taskmaster be considered mutants? Darkseid is a glaringly obvious copy of Thanos as well, and not nearly as cool
  5. it's just in the wording. Discontinued is a bit more acurate
  6. True. Or have it available on the friggin Walmart website
  7. I see Hasbro's ploy to make the 3 3/4 series more palatable to the collector. Basically, take the character ideas legends fans have been asking for for years, purposefully omit said characters from the legends line because they want to phase the line out anyway, and add them to the Marvel Universe line. Their sales pitch to the collector will be character variety. Yeah, they mention the Legends line, but as we've learned over the last year, take what Hasbro has to say with a grain of salt.
  8. It's very sad and frustrating. It's glaring obvious Hasbro is disenchanted with the legends franchise and will most likely phase it out. They should at least have the decency to keep a line out long enough to give collectors a chance to finish their collections. If not, make it known that this is how it's gonna be from the get go. I'm kind of tired of these unannounced surprises. We pay good money, support their product, and deserve a bit more than this.
  9. Like I said, it wasn't a big issue. to me, the avalon armour is overdone, but there is at least a black knight ML
  10. Was thinking more like that oneBlack Knight
  11. Oh yeah, i'm glad we got any rendition of him. I think the sword that taskmaster came with painted black proobably would have been closer to the right design.
  12. Is it just me, or would the Black Knight have been alot cooler if he was translated into a ML with his old costume? I think the Ebony Blade, an iconic item in the marvel universe, would have made for a much better and meaningful accessory then his short lived sword and shield of light. Also the plain chain mail look with the well known breastplate with emblem and classic helmet would have been simpler yet again, more iconic. They even incorporated some of his old costume into his current comic version. I know, it's a small gripe, but what do you guys think? are there any other ML's that you have similar opinions about?
  13. 33 living in nyc, and yes, i have to say this forum is informative and civil. Never did the discussion board thing until i found this site
  14. Uh huh, I noticed 2 cannibalized union jacks and spiral at a target the other day. Character intact, appendages neatly removed. A sad state of affairs.
  15. Forget about hiding figures, how about the rash of Red hulk appendage thefts I've noticed. heads, arms, totally missing out of the packages.
