... The figure itself is as big as the BAF Ares in height and rather imposing. What can I say about the sculpt ? 4 Horsemen - superior sculpt and rather excellent use of metallic blue in conjunction with regular blues to make the figure look bigger than life. And you get the figure single carded which is the main draw rather than having to buy a whole wave to acquire him.
Agreed. My only gripe with the figure is that his costume really limits his posability. I'm thinking of creating a few cuts in his 'kilt' to remedy this.
I'm a toy guy so that's all I really know or care about. DC's Ares > Marvel Ares.

I'm really only looking forward to the human torch variant but even if I find it there's no gaurantee I'll pick it up. I'm more looking forward to the 3 3/4 line.

First come first serve. If I see it first I'll either buy it or stash it and come back. All is fair in love and war.

ive heard of people drilling the holes in their figure. you might want to look that up if your intrested.
I thought about it, and I had it done with Warbird ages ago, but with the kind of hard plastic they used on the torso of this figure, I'm afraid it will crack the body. When others get theirs, can they give me their opinion on whether the body looks too brittle for a drill like I think it does?
You shouldn't have any problems with cracking so long as you drill slow. The heat of the drill will soften the plastic as you go so the only thing you have to worry about is force. Starting the hole off by simply putting the end of a hobby blade and rotating it will start the hole. Once you have a good start drilled with the hobby blade you can break out a dremmel or drill and finish the depth. I would recemmend a dremmel for it's selectable speed.
on topic: I finally got shipment confirmation today. I'm not much of a regular figure collector (I spend most of my money on TF's) but I can't wait for Sunfire to show up at my door. That is especially true after seeing pics of the packaging. Very nice.

Picked up the Stealth/Jet version. Nice fig with excellent posability which makes me wonder why I waited so long to pick it up. Jetpack likes to fall off but nothing that superglue can't fix. As I said, Nice fig and worth the scratch but I won't be buying anymore of the repaints. One is anough for me.
