New Cap and Thor figures
MisterGarbage replied to shmashwitdaclub's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
Lots of those bad boys (Loki, etc) showing up on eBay from sellers in Malaysia. Hopefully that means they'll start showin up here soon. -
do yall think these will ever come to our hands?
MisterGarbage replied to JMLG's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
That was an in-house custom. A one-off. Even if they stuck to that recipe, mass-production would have still cheapened the best parts of it. -
Boil some water and soak him in it for a few seconds - try to move the joint then - if it doesn't go - pull it out and check out the problem. Less cutting that way - less chance of making a baaaad mistake.

3 3/4" sighting and hauls
MisterGarbage replied to thedevilsdue06's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
Wahhh?!?!?! Must run to TJ Maxx now!!! And of course my TJ Maxx has nothing. If anyone finds more of these I would gladly pay a premium for them!! I'll send a pm when I get home from work in an hour or so. Hook. A. Brotha. Up. I could go for one of those too. Of course I would prefer a Giant Skrull (mine has 2 right legs), but i always regretted not picking up that pack too. I'll check my local TJ Maxx, but i'm not holding my breath. -
You'll find that swapping arms and legs between Hulk figures can prove to be quite the pain in the arse... a lot of them (namely Planet Hulk and FO Hulk) have different pegs and peg-holes, so an easy swap isn't doable. Head swaps are always easier, but you may run into peg-size issues there as well, and paint differences.

AMEN. Well said.

New 6" Iron Man pics
MisterGarbage replied to wolverine2281's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
I've just recently seen the Iron Man figs showing up at Targets in my area (Orlando, FL) for $14.99 - and with the Target toy-aisle(s) reset coming up soon, chances are better for us finally seeing the Crimson Dynamo and War Machine (and at a slightly better price than TRU), and potentially these new figs too. -
NEW ML THOR vs. MS THOR
MisterGarbage replied to ROCCOTHEGREAT's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
I think the MS Thor's only flaw is that it's MS, and suffers their typical lack of articulation. This new ML Thor does a good job emulating that MS style with a tiny bit more articulation added in. Haters gonna hate, but I'm thrilled with this figure - I would like to see it next to another ML figure for scale purposes, though, I'll probably never take mine out of the awesome packaging. -
eBay, my friend. Depends on which one you want... nothing available in TRU now-a-days.

Dcuc site like this one?
MisterGarbage replied to thor333us's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
Check out www.dcuc.info - they have a pretty good database. -
Apparently the exclusives have been announced. Here's for all who haven't heard (For all i know this could be just rumors, but it seems to be listed in several reputable locations). Marvel Legends Modern Heroic Age 6" Thor: We all know that Marvel Legend will be making a come-back in 2012 but Hasbro is kicking things off at Comic-Con this year with this brand new Thor action figure. SDCC 2011 Exclusive Dark Purple Sentinel: Following in the footsteps of the blister-carded version of Galactus that was exclusively sold at the San Diego Comic-Con last year, this exclusive version of the Sentinel will be packaged in a giant blister card as well. The figure will feature exclusive artwork by artist Joe Quesada specially made for the SDCC version of the Sentinel. (no images were shown of this item) If this is true... i need to make a buddy who'll snag me a Thor. Any takers going to SDCC?

I wonder if the price hike has anything to do with the fact that most TRU's that I've seen have always had an OVER ABUNDANCE of the first movie's 6" Iron Man figures... still. Maybe they're hiking the price to make up for lost capital from those figures... which they're still trying to sell at full price near me in Orlando ($9.99). That and TRU has been steadily adopting the failed business model of Kay-Bee Toys - if people want it, they're willing to pay our marked-up prices. It won't be too long before TRU goes the way of Kay-Bee: Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. I can't wait for these new ones to start showing up at Wal-Mart at the more reasonable $11.99 price point, where they belong.

What's the back of the card look like? -
Yeah I feel you man, Hasbro does some dumb shyt some times maybe they will save some money on the Neon paint. It would be nice to finally see some Iron man Villians to go with the 30 other Iron mans out there. Paint?! hahaha!!! Hasbro doesn't paint stuff - it's cheaper to just mold the plastic in that color.

New Marvel Legends Speculation
MisterGarbage replied to Professor's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
Anyone else think we could use a Victoria Hand? I mean... she did play a pretty big role in Dark Reign and is now part of the New Avengers. -

MisterGarbage replied to SolidSnakeInMyPants's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
i cant believe people voted for val over some of the other choices. No one voted for either Val or Hulk (well, I voted for Hulk). They already had the molds made, so those 2 were pretty much guaranteed to be included as the peg-warmers in this release. It makes sense financially for Hasbro to just use pre-existing molds... just sucks for us, since Val's sculpt is OLD, since she was made for release in the Hulk Legends line.
