  1. Deadpool Black Widow Valkyrie Deadpool because so many people seemed to have missed out and that one looks nicer, Black Widow because the original is so ugly, and Valkyrie to round out the Defenders. It's nice seeing new ML isn't it?
  2. There's a Marvel Q&A around here somewhere where Marvel basically says the other 2 packs will come out at a later date. You'll have to search around for it. It was a news item so it may still be on the front page. MN: Will the series 2 Marvel Legends 2-pack variants be released. I'm referring to Stealth Iron Man/Sharon Carter and Dum Dum Dugan/Hand Ninja? And also what happened to the Torch/Invincible set? Hasbro: We still have plans to release these figures but the timing for this particular wave will be determined by how fast the current wave of 2 packs sell through. there it is hasbro is about money lol they basicly telling us to buy these and then they will make the others :hulk: I've never gone to business school, but isn't the point of a business to make money?? That's exactly the point I made on another post. The reason ML got cancelled in the first place is because rather than continue to support the line most people bitched and moaned and refused to buy the new figures. Sure prices went up and articulation went down but what are you gonna do. The intent was to force Hasbro to make a better product but it had the opposite affect and they ultimately pulled the plug altogether. So if these things ever come out we gotta put our support behind them. We can support the line and call out for better product at the same time. If the line becomes successful again I guarantee Hasbro will begin to listen to the fans again. But we the fans shouldnt have to buy a bunch of Wolverines and Human Torches just to get the few we actually want. It sucks, but we shouldn't have to buy figures if they are of lesser quality. So when we didn't Hasbro said alright, screw it, lets just start fresh with 3 3/4 figures, so nows thats what we get. Honestly some of the ML from Hasbro are pure crap, and that is not our fault, but Hasbros for dropping the ball. Hasbro pulled out and thats the end of the line, not because we didn't support the line, but because Hasbro mismanaged the line. I can still see my Walmart's top toy shelf being convered with crappy White Queens and X3 Beasts vividly in my mind.
  3. This guy in Hong Kong I met through the internet ! He seems to be able to pick up Hasbro prototypes all the time ! Solid connection ! They're stolen, call it picking them up or whatnot. They are stolen, make no mistake about it. And you are only encouraging factory workers to continue this practice. This happens a lot with transformers merchandise and Hasbro is getting to be very vocal about there disdain for such practices and how much it hurts there brand name. And you are only encouraging further acts of theft. Don't buy stuff from these guys because you aren't doing anyone a favor. I can understand what you are saying raistlin, and with a thriving line I would completely agree, but as a ML collector, I say go for it. It's pretty obvious Hasbro is done with ML, and this will probably be the only way to get that figure, so I say buy it, if you won't someone else will. We are not taking money out of their pockets, because this figure isn't available to buy in the first place. Besides, how much does that factory worker make? I'm betting not very much, whose to say that if I were in a situation where I made little money and I had a family to support that I wouldn't do the same. Sure, it's stealing, I agree but in this instance, I don't mind buying it. It's not like someone highjacked a truck full of figures en route to TRU, this is a dead line. raistlin works for hasbor lol ha hah a hahaha, if thats the case tell Hasbro to quit srewing around and release the damn two packs! It's sad but I can't really remember the last time I bought a ML, probably sometime last oct/nov. Sad state of affairs indeed.

  5. I still think we can skip some two-packs all together. With the last wave, I bought the Forge/Wolverine and Elektra/Ronin one. Now I don't really care about Ultimate Figures, so I pass on Cap/Fury and I've already got a couple of Things and Mr Fantastics, so I passed on those as well. So, if these had all come out as a single 8 figure wave with a BAF, I would have probably bought the them all except for Thing and Mr Fantastic, whose BAF parts I would have just bought on ebay. So, breaking them off into two packs saved me money. Ya, I wasn't able to get a BAF, but the interchangable heads are pretty cool, so I don't mind not having that the BAF. No matter if these are sold as two-packs or an entire wave, we will always have Wolverines/Spidermans/Caps/Hulks, because a casual buyer would be more interested in that aspect rather than getting a Forge. It just makes me happy when they put two over produced figures in a box together, then I can just skip it and not worry about getting the BAF part from trade or ebay. Thats just my opinion though. As far as the 3 3/4 line goes, they have a wealth of popular characters to choose from since they are starting new, and while I don't think it ML is just flat out cancelled, I do think within the next year or so they will be phased out. I hope I am wrong, but I just feel like thats just the direction it is flowing, which would be fine, ML has had a great run, and I would like for it to continue, but if it didn't that would be fine. I mean, how many different characters (not figures) have we gotten? Like 200? 250? Thats more than I could have ever hoped for, and while it would be nice to continue, I just get the feeling it won't for long. Hasbro seems to be built around the 3 3/4 scale and they feel like they have the winning forumla with that and if a company thinks it can make money using the same principals but applied to a new array of characters, why not? I guess time will tell what happens to the line. Oh, and I will not be buying the 3 3/4 line, not interested when the rest of my collection is 6" scale. Nothing wrong with 3 3/4, just not interested.
  6. HA! Nice. Definately not a fan of this Beast, the classic one from wave 3 or 4 is definately the way to go IMHO. I can understand people wanting to complete the Astoninshing team, but the BAF peice that comes with him will probably be coming from eBay or trade, not interested in that figure. Am I the only one who is excited about the camo-Punisher? For some reason, I can just picture him sneaking up behind people in the jungle and putting a gun underneith someone's chin and pulling the trigger.
  7. I love em! I remember when I was a kid I had a battle damage Wolverine that I just thought was too awesome. Best christmas ever! I really wish they would make more battle damage figure, it would definately be a nod to people that make dios.
  8. "multi-figure offering"? Sounds like some kind of sacrifice to me. Does that mean like 30 Wolverines? Or is that something like build-an-army type deal? Whatever the case, I will welcome a Darkhawk and Winter Solider into the ML Universe...unless they suck
  9. HAHAHA, great signature GreenLanternPrime, that is exactily what I thought of when I saw him (that and what the hell is with that cloth arm webbing business?)
  10. With lack of ML, its good to catch my breathe between waves. I just finished Ares and Rulk, so I don't mind having a little ML downtime. Also, like most of you, I don't have the cash for them now anyway. Most of the money that would have gone to them ended up going to DCUC and MOTUC figures. I'm cool with it.
  11. I love these posts, gets me thinking about what could come. I'd love a Jim Lee Jubilee and Jean Grey, come to think of it, I'd love all of those. Something seems to be missing though from Hasbro's usually lineup (namely Hulk, Wolverine, Spiderman, or some member of FF) Ofcoarse, this is all assuming that ML is still around...
  12. I've been using the SMC DD for display for a long time, the FO one never looked right to me. This new one will be replacing the SMC one.
  13. I would actually buy many of these if they were in the 6" format. These are the type of figure re-makes that make alot of sense, and keep major retailers happy by keeping A-listers available. Put 2 re-made a-listers with 4 new ML's and I think that everyone could be happy. Just as long as they keep scuba spidey and Baseball Logan out of the line. I kind of like Scuba Spidey...
  14. No real suprises here. Hype the new 3 3/4 line, don't bother hyping the exisiting one (they already know we will buy them, so why hype it?) ML is a dying breed unfortunately. I like to think that Hasbro is just being coy with it because they have something good to announce, but it doesn't seem that way...
  15. True, but like with the last few two packs I was able to pass on things completely. I passed on that Cable and Marvel Girl boxset, since I've got both. Also this past time around I was able to skip over the Cap and Fury pack and the FF two pack since I've got those as well (I did rebuy Elektra, but that was just because it was a huge improvement) I may have bought that ugly wolverine that was packed with Forge, but atleast I didn't have this impending feeling of not completing the BAF. If this coming wave was just packed in two's, I'd only have to buy one, maybe two of them with one or two repeats versus having to buy them all just to complete the BAF. I will miss the BAF once they are gone, but atleast I won't have to buy a whole set, and we'll finally be able to build more armies than just the Hydra one.
  16. So this is what the last BAF looks like hu? I'm excited about it, can't wait for that DD and it's good to finally get a Nova. That Black bolt looks a little rough, not a big fan of the cloth in the arms either. Whatever, last BAF, now it'll be harder for Hasbro to make me buy figures I don't really want.
  17. I, like most, am not switching to a 3 3/4 line. I have a feeling that ML will just slowly fade out, and if that is the case, then that is the end of my buying Marvel figures from Hasbro. I've already "invested" enough time and money to a 6" collection, and Hasbro doesn't have the power to sway me and make me start again with a smaller scale figure. I'll still get some MS from Diamond, but other than that I can't think of any other Marvel figures I'll be owning.
  18. Back when series 5 first came out, I was able to get them all in one fell swoop at walmart except Blade. I looked for weeks and couldn't find one so I ended up going to ComicCon in Orlando and some vender had one for $30. I was so excited I just handed it to him and opened it there. The next day I was at Walmart and saw like three more. Oh well, buyer beware.
  19. The boxset Rhino and Lizard are by far the best. I don't have alot of SMC figures, but I have that box set as well as a few others and they all look great. The SMC Lizard does look horrible, same goes for that Hydroman. I do love my shocker, but you guys are right, the lack of elbow movement is a big problem. Same goes for the thing sticking out of his back. When I was a kid, I didn't care about action features like a chopping arm or kicking leg, I was wanted regular figures without those stupid little features. I really need a Venom, but I want a McFarlane style one, so I will probably wait till I see one... someday
  20. I like this topic too. How about an all women wave? 1) Enchantress 2) Jubilee 3) Wolfsbane 4) Firestar 5) Blink 6) Diamondback 7) Dazzler 8) Spidergirl BAF Odin (I just want an Odin Hasbro!) Wrecking Crew Boxset
  21. Aren't we all fanboys?? I wasn't a fan of the costume till I got into the book. I think it looks better in the book now. They've stopped with the super shiny shrink-wrapped look at least on his pants. No matter. Only have a few MS figs so I'll skip it. Bring on the ML version. GEEK I'm with you Geek, I've only got about 5 or 6 MS, so I'll pass also, but I'd love a ML version.
  22. I imagine the next wave, would be something like Hulk, Wolverine, Ironman, Spiderman, one remake of someone else, and then two obscure people
