I was commissioned to do the head only. The body is Big Show. Head is completely scultped.

I sprayed Testors Matte on him and it changed the colors to a darker look. I really like this look better. Tell me what you think.

I found 1 Guardian and it sucked. The feet are too small and it had this really crappy grey wash.
Yeah, I bought it.

Thanks for the kind words. It is done on the Alpha Blanx body. Epoxy sculpted details.
Thought I recognized the hips. Good job though.

Great work Onyx! Did you use a Marvel Showdown body for this?
Thank you and yes, I used an MLS Beast but I added an additional 1/2 inch to the upper thigh. The head was a Tri-gate head but was like a mummy with wrappings and horns.

I am working on a much better version of the green Hulk. Therefore I decided to post a tease of what's to come. As you can see, I have completely sculpted a neck and new, better chest. The head will also be a complete sculpt but I will save that one for the time being. BTW, this Hulk will be roaring.
Sneak Peek of head. Sorry the pics didn't turn out the best.

What's with the upper thighs protruding so much?

I watch a lot of History & Discovery Channel. i figure if I am watching T.V. I may as well be learning something. Needless to say, I came across the program Battles B.C. and it was about Hannibal. Well this gave me an idea and here are the results. The first 3 images are from the actual program followed by my work. I wanted to give him Sandals as in the film but reality set in. If I were crossing the Alps and fighting Rome in mid-November, I wouldn't be wearing Sandals. Therefore, I also gave him a winter coat of sorts. Recipe folloows images.
Parts:
Head- Serpentor
Body - MU Thunderball with chest completely re-sculpted
Lower legs - SW Mandalorian with Thunderball feet
Loin-cloth- Vader's Apprentice
Swords- Left overs from Toybiz LOTR line
Sheath - Some Narnia figure
There was a good bit of sculpting done, even on the loin-cloth to make it fit all the way around the body.

The only thing I have yet to figure out is the net effect or if I even should add it. I'm open to suggestions.

i thought the same when i first saw iron fist, and let him go. later i regretted the decision since i started trying to get everyone. i found him again recently with a closed fist sculpt and got that one(pretty happy with him now).
anyway i open all of my figures, i realized i wasnt ever going to try and sell them. the only ones i have in the box still are my 70th anniversary cap, torch, namor, and skull.
also, to anyone insulting other lines of figures. i dont understand why you are picking on people with the same hobby as you. shouldnt we unite, and be happy that there are diverse opinions about our hobby so we get more products? if we all had the same opinion then collecting toys would be a very boring pastime, since all we would get is the same figure over and over. diversity is good, it helps the growth of creativity, and its also a good testing ground to see what consumers want.
i suggest you complain directly to hasbro, start a petition. make your voice heard to the people who make your hobby exist. let them know they are letting you down. i just dont think its a good idea to bring negativity to a forum dedicated to fans where they are having fun and feel positive to post here.

I also meant when Toy Biz first made ML also. The Hulk and Thing were horrendous. As well as Dr. Doom, Daredevil, Ironman, and scrawny Black Spidey. I always thought the shoulders loked stupid on those first ones. Like the old Tom & Jerry cartoon where Tom had a coat hanger in his jacket to make himself look buff. Just didn't look natural.

I seem to recall ML's looking like ass-crack when they first came out also!

I wanted to keep this one simple. I always liked the comic-style Ninja version and the Paris Pursuit mask is awesome. Plus by keeping it simple, I can always add whatever gear I want to make him more commando.
Head - ROC Paris Pursuit SE
Body - MU Blk Spiderman
Hands - Unknown fodder
Belt - crappy purple SE
Wrist/ankle bands - MU Union Jack

I got the new comic pack Hulk in a trade. I like this head, although, I found it to be a tad too thin. So i am in the process of making it look more like the comic versions I remember. When done, I will put it on the modified Hulk body I made.
