http://cgi.ebay.com/MARVEL-LEGENDS-COLLECT...=item56363587a7 172 ML, DC, LCBH, and MS for $7,999.99 with $400 shipping! It's an amazing(or more accurately, insane) world where newbies can spend 8 grand and get ahead of collectors who have been desperately searching for these items for years. I don't care if he was selling every toy ever made; No one should spend 8K on toys.

Legends Two-Packs 2.5...any luck
Rizzle replied to gdatruth's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
I saw them last week at TRU in Indianapolis. -
The Chaste is basically just the opposite of the Hand. The Chaste nnja is an army builder, as there are infinite members, although there are 7 named ones.

Yeah, I just realized that there was an oranage spot. I also just realized I used my crappy camera...and I screwed up the paint on her eyes.

Just saw Jame's Cameron's "AVATAR" a few days ago and it inspired me to make a Na'vi figure. fortunately, I had just bought an extra Tigra at Wal*Mart for the BAF part, so I had an extra female body with native clothing and a tail. Her nose, tail fur, and widow's peak are all sculpy. The spear is a paintbrush shaved and carved. It was difficult to get the right texture for the stripes and the glowing spots all over her. And no, the stripes are not Tigra's painted over. I had to redo them all. You have to look closely to see the glow-dots.

Hasbro has done nothing ToyBiz hasn't done. Hasbro has not killed ML whatsoever. I agree, at first Hasbro's incarnation of ML was less than perfect, but they were new and learning. They have now learned to add better detail, paint washes, and choose likeable characters based on what fans (YOU) ask for. They can't do everything everyone aqsks for. There is no way in any universe that Hasbro would sell figures just to see the line crash and burn. If they wanted ML to die, they would just cancel it. For all you idiots who keep complaining about the new ML prototypes, stop. Toybiz had way more prototypes than Hasbro did for each ML series. The only difference is: they never showed them to us. That's because they felt the figures were not adequate and didn't make the series. The fact that Hasbro is even choosing to let us pick which ML are going to be in a new series shows that they care about their customers. They want you to buy things. It makes them have money. There is no reason that ML and MU shouldn't coexist. If it were up to Hasbro, they would release all of the MLs and MUs whenever they wanted. But it's NOT. It is up to retailers what figures they buy, how much they buy, and what price to sell it at. NOT HASBRO. Now, stop spamming and get to the point of the thread. ML Pros: Detailed, poseable, big, but not too big, accessories and backgrounds, good characters ML Cons: some figures are lacking in pant and sculpt, quite expensive now, BAFs are difficult to finish sometimes MU Pros: likeable characters, good for kids, easy for customs MU Cons: small, paintjob, sculpt

And last but not least, Strong Guy! My favorite custom to date. I just love the way he came out. Recipe: -Hulk Classics War Hulk Sculpted head, jacket, shoes, writbands, and anklebands

Update! Araña has been repainted, given her weapon, and added little details. Phage, one of Venom's spawn from Planet of the Symbiotes I like how this came out, but I think there is too much black. I didn't put ay yellow on the front which I should've. Recipe: -SMC Venom -Sculpey spikes, resculpted head with teeth made from toothpicks Weapon XI, from X-Men Origins: Wolverine I love how this came out, but his head is too big. He's not as shiny as he looks, I just have a bad camera and I'm bad at taking pictures... Recipe: -ML Human Torch with sanded down head -Katana from ML Deadpool made into razor things - Sculpted pants, bandages, and markings drawn with ultra thin sharpie

It looks great. I love the paint. Why did you cover his ankles and make them a little too bulky, and why didn't you fill in the joint-holes on the side?

I can't belive it took me this long to update, but I have finally got some more pics on the way. - Updated Arana with tattoo, better paint, and her spider weapon thingy. - Finished Phage, from Planet of the Symbiotes. - Finished Weapon XI, from X-Men Origins: Wolverine - About halfway done with Strong Guy, he just needs to be painted. I'll have the pics up either tomorrow or monday.

What to make out of SM Classics Sandman(?)
Rizzle replied to themthatgots's topic in Marvelous Customs
Well, you could just make some kind of rough-skinned character, or someone slightly rocky. Maybe Grey Gargoyle. As for "filling in", just rub super sculpey or the like all over it until it's smooth. -
