Does anyone know when preorders will be taken for this wave from sites like bbts, enchanted toy chest, etc. ? I thought I heard that these may hit around Christmas time, but I guess not. I'm dying for that Archangel figure. He's my favorite Marvel character. I have the SDCC pack, but I don't want to open it, but I'm getting really impatient! I would also like to point out that I haven't posted on here in about 3 years. THIS TOPIC made me come back!

I know I've seen pictures of this character, but she's not i anything I have. Does anyone know some specific issues where she's featured? Amazing custom, by the way.

Marvel Legends Sightings and Hauls thread

They must have found that Batman hidden somewhere in the back room or under a baseboard. That thing can fetch over $100 on eBay. I didn't collect figures when the TRU I where I work got that series, but I did pick up that Batman and the Nightwing for my friend, John. I wish I would have kept it. hahaha. Guys, I'm itchin for some new figures. I haven't found anything since the 2 packs and the newest Gears of War series. Giganta wave hasn't even hit where I live yet, unless I want to pay $18 a fig at a comic shop, which I did for Dr. Fate, Hawkgirl, and Mr. Terrific. Now I see that Chemo wave is out! What am I going to do? If my store didn't have all those Atom Smasher figs stuffing our shelves, maybe we'd get new stuff in. At this rate, we won't be receiving any new DC till like wave 17. -
I love that Spidey figure. I think you may have gotten ahold of a factory mishap or something. I think the sculpt is great and the blue shading on mine is very consistent and clean. He does have SOME same body parts as Union Jack, but with a few differences (feet, hands, etc.). Silver Surfer is a completely different sculpt altogether. The sculpt used for Spidey actually originated back with the TB Bullseye, but it's been dumbed down more and more with every recast. Red Hulk was a great wave, I think. Especially Spidey.

You know, this custom just dawned on me the other day. May I asked who you used for the head?

I don't think there is a way that you can be sure that it is meant to be the Moonstone Ms. Marvel or the Carol Danverse one. Unless there was some bio posted by the figure that specifically stated it was Moonstone? I don't remember seeing one. Both characters have worn that costume. If I am missing something that is a dead giveaway that this is the Moonstone one please let me know, but I also see it as another version of the same character. The reason I said it was Moonstone Ms. Marvel is because of her hair. Moonstone has the long hair like the figure, and when Carol wore the suit she had a vary short bobbed-style haircut. It would be awesome if she got picked if they made both heads so she could be either Carol or Karla. It's a tiny detail, I know, but it's enough to make the difference in my eyes. -

So a real collector to you is someone who spends $75 for a toy? Cool. I got my Deadpool for $20 then put him on Ebay when i needed some cash & started him at 99 cents & sold him for $70. But that's not my style; I can't justify spending that much for a toy. And you say you wanted all new figures but you voted for Ms. Marvel. Who looked great. But hey! We already have her! Sure that was a different costume but it's just like Wolverine & all his costumes. Anyways we are allowed to vote for whatever ones we want. We did that. This is what we get. And it's awesome! I've said this before, and I'll say it again. Ms. Marvel was my first pick. The new Ms. Marvel figure is NOT the same person as the last figure. This one is based on the Dark Reign tie-ins, and is not Carol Danvers at all. It's actually Moonstone of the Thunderbolts in the costume... so it's actually not a multiple character at all. And I'd kill for that figure. -

I just want to say this: I was quick to complain when they announced this whole vote thing, but I'm happy with the results, even though only one figure I voted for actually made the cut. There are a lot of elitist collectors on here, I feel, and I'm sorry to admit that I probably have come across as one more than once. I have the ToyBiz Deadpool, and I do think it is better than this one, but let me tell you guys... I paid almost 75 bucks for mine, and I don't blame anyone who doesn't want to pay that. Come on, guys, let them have their Deadpool! This is a victory for MANY Legends collectors who never got ahold of the first one! Congrats, guys! And as for Valkyrie, I didn't vote for her, but I'm happy with it. Look... it's not another Wolverine or Hulk, right? Enjoy it! And Black Widow... Oh man... I'm sooo excited for this one. She was my #2. This sculpt is PERFECT if you ask me. I was severely disappointed with Toybiz' version. Now we just have to wait another year. haha My three were Ms. Marvel, Black Widow, and Multiple Man... and I voted for Lady Bullseye from my fiance's house. lol -
Wow. Awesome job, man. This is seriously one of the best customs I've ever seen. Amazing.

how much cheaper are two packs to make?
themthatgots replied to fadersdream's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
Yeah, the lack of BAF pieces is what makes it so cheap for them. Hasbro did away with the Build-a-Figure out of their own selfishness, which is precisely the same reason they are only making Legends in 2-Packs from here on in. It's pathetic. I was thinking today how incredibly awful it is that a wonderful, respectable company like ToyBiz is now defunct because of a greedy major corporation like Hasbro. It made me rethink a lot of things as far as my collection goes. It sickens me, actually. -
I would like to know who the winners are, although I do have low expectations. I think it's absolutely ridiculous that Hasbro can't keep the tiniest of promises, such as announcing the winners of a contest on a given date. Believe it or not, Hasbro, people actually care about these products, and if you give them a chance to choose some figures to be made and give them a date on which they will find out who won, they will hang on your word. Hasbro might not think it's a big deal, but there are tons of fans who are, once again, saddened by the company's total lack of regard for the people who buy their products. I've remained positive, but I think it's finally time for me to say this: Screw you, Hasbro.

Yeah, I have seen people do that and it does look great. I'd like to do it, but I just haven't gotten that far yet.

I use Games Workshop colors for my customs. They are fairly priced and have a good selection of colors. The paint coats lay evenly so you can't see brushstrokes, and it dries fast. If you're doing a light blue FF, I'd consider a white base coat. Painting the 4's might be difficult. Just make sure you've got a nice detailing brush.

I thought the new Beast had a great sculpt, but the lack of a paint wash killed this figure. I also hated the "antique" looking yellow they used on his pants, so I fixed those issues. I also gave him some whisker spots.

I found six cases worth at the Super Wal Mart in Xenia(Dayton), Ohio last night. I bought one complete set. They only had 3 Novas and two Blackbolts left, but tons of all the others. So hey, Daytonians, they're in Xenia! Go!
