  1. Hello from Mexico city we dont have the avengers figures yet but look what we have now in stores

    spiderman figures

    venom movie

    octopus

    yeah Amazing spiderman figures

I actually saw boxes of these at the Walmart by my house. THey didn't put them out yet which was weird since the boxes were all street dated Feb 27th, and it was Mar 1st last night...

That can't be right, there's no way they would release the ASM figures officially this early. Probably late April, more likely May.

It looks like they're basically treating this as a continuation of the previous Spider-Man 3.75" line, which is a shame. There's definitely some good figures to be found in both the ASM and Avengers lines, but Hasbro dropped the ball. How could they not do a a nice big comic series for both lines? Disappointing.

  3. I'm really interested in why retailers seems to be so laid back with getting this new product on the shelves. Toys r us seems to be the only one that was quick on the uptake by having the figures on shelves and online well before the big box stores. Unforunately, they have to charge a higher price bc theyre a soecialty store, but look at how theyve been selling out. I wonder too if theres a weakness in promotion or reluctance to purchase shelf space on Hasbro's end as they could rightfully cautious to make sure they dont flood the market with loads of product that might not sell. But from where I'm sitting, though, there's definitely demand and hopefully subsequent waves will be dropping all over with more consistency.

So the psychos like us will keep talking them up and making them special to own. Supply and demand. It was like Nintendo releasing 100 Wii's per market at first. Everyone wanted one because you couldn't find them. Supply and demand at it's finest.

Except that wasn't the case with the Wii. They sent out as many as they could and they kept selling out for a long time. I get what you're saying but that isn't what Nintendo did. Keep in mind they had to supply equal demand all over the world, which is no easy task.

  4. I'm pretty sure the bogo at TRU is only for 3.75 figures but can anybody verify if they have been able to get the legends on that deal as well?

It works for Marvel Universe, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, G.I. Joe, Spider-Man, Star Wars, and The Avengers. The tags they have up mention all of them but Avengers but their system is set up to accept them (it shows up when you scan one in the price scanner too).

The only way Legends would work is if you somehow convinced someone who worked there to let you do it with them. :(

  5. Yeah i picked up a quinjet also.

I'm borderline thinking about returning it - even though i opened and assembled.

I'm going to let it marinate about what i want to do with it overnight.

Maybe it's just the scale of it that bothers me. It only holds one person in the cockpit - one freaking hero.

Someone tell me that's in scale. Please.

And if i find out it's the movie version - even worse.

iron man figure included is a pos. does nothing for me.

    end rant.

It's a toy. It's quite silly to expect products like this to be in scale or that it only holds one person like that's crazy. Stores don't want to carry huge items. The bigger they make it, the less the stores will stock and the more expensive it would be.

Complaining about the figure quality is understandable, but the vehicles in a movie toyline aimed squarely at children? Nah.

If this were a vehicle in the Marvel Universe line, I could get the complaints though.

Plus, you knew what you were buying.

  6. Weekend haul:

Found avengers wave one. picked up only:

    Super Shield CA

    Battle Hammer Thor

    Marvel's Hawkeye

What bothers me the most is the total i paid for it. almost $30 for three figures. sheesh. I'm passing by again tomorrow if anyone is interested in any other W1 figures.

Got a random another Prince of persia aksh 1:18 horse for $3, and picked up CA: Ult Nick Fury...he was on clearance.

Also saw WM/QS and BE/DD two packs at target. passed on them as i already had them.

Yeah, it's getting expensive. Just make sure you always keep those receipts so that when you see them go on sale to a lower price within 90 days you can get a few bucks back. I usually end up making it work with price matches too. i.e. I bought figures at Target, saw them on sale at TRU 2 months later, got a few bucks back at Target.

  7. So I finally decide to organize a little bit and put all of my Marvel Universe together, being that over the past couple of years as soon as they were bought they were put in various boxes around my house. Well after doing this I am pissed because I realized I need a few more figures then I thought I needed!!!! which includes all variations of each figure.

    I am looking for.....

    Series 1:

    Bullseye (Dark Version Black)

Ms. Marvel (Long Red Haired Version) Didn't even know it existed!

Spiderman #32 Regular Blue & Red Version

    Series 2:

House of M Spiderman (don't know how I spaced out on figure #1)

    Vision (Regular Version of course)

    Winter Soldier (Long Hair)

    Series 3:

    Dr. Strange (Astral Version)

Scarlet Spider (Regular Right Side Up Version)

    Skaar (Son of Hulk Stand)

I honestly thought I only needed Vision along with the 3 wave 14 figures, no clue about the rest, now I must hunt..... I posted a pic of extras (above this post) if anyone wants to trade.

Here are all my Regular figures

    post-35915-1315962036_thumb.jpg

Not familiar w/ the Black version of Daredevil. Where'd you find info on this one as I've never seen/heard of this one...

It looks kind of black there but it's actually a very dark red/brown. It's a variant that's been known since the first series but only started to become widespread this year. I crapped myself when I finally found it.

  8. went to a target and found the marvel display but found 5 falcons only and everything else was spiderman figures from the spiderman line. I grabbed 2 falcons and left the rest. I went to another target and no marvel display but on the pegs there were 2 pegs full of original Wolverine

1 peg full spiderwoman 1 peg full of bleeding edge ironman 2 pegs of gladiators scalpers anyone?

Was it the 2011 Spider-Man line or last year's?

  9. that art work was probably done on Photoshop so they probably just used the icon for referance.

I love the new art work anyway and I love that we get Wrecking crew as in one wave.(though it will be as running changes and expensive)

That's actually the final box art, it'll say Marvel Universe on the front and back. The moderator over at ToyArk thinks it will have Legends on the blister packaging part of it.

  10. I have to say I definitely prefer MS. I don't even really like the new Thor, especially for 25 bucks. If Hasbro starts making figures of Toy Biz quality, I will start buying them again. Until then, nope.

whoa!!! the new Legends are going to be $25!?!?! When did they decide to pump the price up that much? I was hoping they'd be more like the previous (Toybiz) lines. Those were awesome figures for their price range. But at $25, I don't know if I'd be getting any new ML's.

Someone please tell me they'll be well under 20. I mean even with a BAF piece inside, they should be several dollars under 20.

No, Thor the SDCC exclusive is $25. That's not a retail price.

Hopefully it's reasonably priced because if it's at the TRU Iron Man: Armored Avenger price ($18), this line is literally dead on arrival.

  11. thor.jpg

so as you all know the new ML thor pics have been released. They look pretty good. the face is nice, new chest sculpt & sweet hammer , i'm not hating.

i just think the articulation seems to be the same. i thought they wanted to wow us and get everyone hyped for the new legends.

    what do you think?

The ML Thor has better articulation.
