  1. So I'm considering making a brand new Wiki page for this, as it's relaunch of the line which in essence makes it a new line. Meaning it would be called "Marvel Legends (2012 toy line)". I really feel that the Toy Biz/Hasbro series should be split up as it is but that's a much bigger undertaking.

It's a brand new start for the series so I think it deserves a fresh new look at by people in order to get the attention that MU has (and deserves, obviously).

  2. Just picked up all of the series 1 Thor figures from Target in Cleveland Hts Ohio. I'll post pics if anyone wants when I get home. They look great, only thing I didn't like is the piece between the neck and head that holds the head on for Loki and Odin was not flesh colored (blackish green).... I couldn't tell if this was the same for Thor. Other than that they look good.

    Pictures would be great man.

  3. So I waited to pick these up in 2010 in hopes I would find them on clearance eventually. Ta da! A smaller Walmart near me decided to get rid of them. $25 for the normally $40 headquarters and $13 for each of the normally $20 vehicles. Not only that, but they let me use THREE of my IM2 coupons on it so I only paid $36 for what would have been around $80. Not bad at all!

Keep in mind, if you go looking for these on clearance, it was just a local clearance and not store wide. It was the Walmart in Brockton, MA and they're just an awful store in terms of what they keep in stock. They haven't carried any Marvel Universe or 3.75" Spider-Man figures in months and they barely have any Iron Man 2 figures at this point.

  4. marvel muggs have been out for a bit...looking at thor wolvie and the big G as i type...or are you looking for three packs like in the pic

Hasbro set out new MINI Muggs which are about half the size of the original mighty muggs but only for star wars so far, they are so BA I really hope they make marvel ones.

out of topic, have they made any new mighty muggs? i dont think they did well but i was really waiting for Magneto one.

It hasn't been looking good for about a year and a half now but honestly, if the line were dead I don't think they would have put out Mini Muggs. And there were some new Muggs this year but not many.

There was a new Transformers wave which had movie-based Bumblebee and Optimus, as well as two Iron Man 2 Muggs, Mark VI and War Machine. Finally there were two exclusive SDCC Muggs: a version of the movie Mark VI with a flip-up mask and Prowl from Transformers.

Last I heard, Muggs were going exclusive to TRU and new ones would hit in the fall. I'm doubting it now though and I'm hoping for a strong "relaunch" next year.

  5. Found the Ben Reilly Spider-Man at Walmart today. I guess this and Carnage are labeled as "BONUS" instead of being numbered. I just need Carnage and Mass Attack Doc Ock and I'll have every figure in the new Spider-Man line so far. I assume Carnage and Ben are the last ones for the first series.

Oh, and I couldn't resist the Star Wars Mini Muggs. I hope they do well so that Hasbro puts out some Marvel ones.

Finally, TRU was clearancing those Marvel marbles for $2.23, so I figured what the hell. I'm only missing two now.

  6. So Wal-Mart is selling EVERY Iron Man figure for $5.00, AWWWWESOME

I picked up two Weapon Assault Drones and two Air Assault Drones for $15 plus tax, using the $5 coupon. Had to.

Ya I did it with the GI Joe Roc 2-packs. Bought them for regular price when the were released up here, then a week later they went on clearance. Got 21 bucks back! The wife makes me save all the receipts just for this reason. LOL

I hope my Walmart starts doing that. I'll bring all my receipts back from the past 3 months and get $20-30 back.

    you can do that?

its up to 2 weeks or so with the receipt i believe

You have either 2 or 3 months to return items, so yes. That's their store policy.

  7. update 2

even after working graveyard, even after going to wal-mart to cop that carnage, i still haven't slept. i wanted to get a mem card for my cam to take pics so i went to target. picked up the dark phoenix pack just minutes ago:

and here's a better pic of carnage and ben reilly:

    PA040661.jpg

i'll post more in the action thread later. let me get some rest!

Hey, could you take a picture of the front and back of the packaging? Also, could you take a picture of the cards they come with? I'm curious about the numbering because there were 72 cards total, split into 2 sets in the first series of Spider-Man figures. Each figure came with two cards from one set (they numbered up to 48) and one card from the other set, which numbered up to 24. (That card would be for the figure itself and that would be considered the figure number.)

I'm curious because I assume this is the start of the 2011 line and want to see how many figures they have planned.

  8. Here's my haul from Walmart today, the first I've seen in retail of this MU wave. (I've seen it at a comic shop about a month ago but decided to wait for lower retail prices.)

It's also the first time I've ever seen Ultimate Armor Concept in the IM2 series. On the back it shows the two drones as figures 16 and 17. I'm going to assume these three figures are part of Wave 3 with Artic armor and Classic Iron Monger and the rest?

  9. I had one of my best random hauls ever today. A new Toys R Us Express opened up at the Silver City Galleria in Taunton, MA. I got Colossus, Havok, and Archangel (all originals, no variants). They also had A.I.M. Soldier and Juggernaut there but I already have them.

Then I checked out the Target in Taunton, MA where I grabbed the new Comic Packs. I got the last Cyclops/Dark Phoenix along with a Dark Wolverine/Dark Spider-Man, which they should have 2 or 3 left of. They also have a bunch of the repainted Target-exclusive 2-packs.

Finally, the Walmart in Raynham, MA. I picked up Winter Soldier (short hair), Iron Spider-Man, and Iron Patriot.

  10. its weird every store has the same IF ANY MU figures

Hasbro ships "peg warmer cases" which consists of 12 figures - all classic Iron Man, Spider-Man, Green Goblin, Luke Cage, Silver Centurian. I've opened two sealed cases of "2010 Wave 2" and "2010 Wave 3" and found that crap inside. It's their own fault for the awful distribution and wave/case assortments that they're stuck with a billion peg warmers.

Maybe I'm wrong but I feel this is exactly why so many Walmarts, Kmarts, and even Targets are discontinuing carrying MU. Afterall if they can't sell the figures they can't make a profit. Hasbro keeps sending them the same pegwarmers then there's no profit for the stores to carry the line when it isn't moving.

Where are the "so many" that are discontinuing them? That's simply not true.

On that note, I saw the Spider-Man repaint 3-packs at TRU this week.

  11. Went to Target today and the reset their toy section. I picked up the Hawkeye & Piledriver 2-pack (I just need Thor/Enchantress now) alongside A.I.M. Soldier and Juggernaut.

But more importantly, they had the new 2-figure Battle Packs. They just didn't have Wolverine/Hand Ninja but I picked up the other three. These are some awesome repaints. Can't believe how small the boxes were.

Oh, and they're numbered, which is a nice touch.
