I would be totally fine with something like this from Jin Saotome...
-
I think a Toy Biz style Iceman would be pretty easy with either the “All New X-Men” boxed set belt from Cyclops or Angel and the Silver Surfer head or the “All New X-Men” Iceman on the slim male buck. They could also use the Apocalypse wave Wolverine belt... just depends on if they want to be accurate to the 5” Toy Biz figure or if the want to be accurate to the Jim Lee costume art.

Technically, yes... but there are a few that have not yet been made by Hasbro in the costumes from X-Men #1. - Storm: The only figure of Storm in her white “Gold Team” costume is from the Toy Biz X-Men series (2005) https://marvelousnews.com/database/index.php?itemid=766 - Iceman: The Iceman from the Juggernaut BAF wave represents a more modern version of the character with more ice protrusions, styled hair, and bare feet. The figure from the “All-New X-Men” boxed set is closer to the X-Men #1 version of the character than his original “snowman” appearance from early Uncanny X-Men issues, but missing the X logo belt. The Toy Biz Marvel Legends Series 8 (2005) figure has the X logo belt. Jean Grey: Hasbro made a version of the figure in this costume during the “Return of Marvel Legends” waves before the line was rebranded as “Infinite”. So it’s been made, it’s just impossible to get for less than $80. Obviously Professor X, Gambit, Beast, and Colossus are still waiting to be released in the coming months.

Can anyone confirm - does Cannonball have an alternate waist and legs?
-
I agree that it would be better for an Avengers wave of regular Marvel Legends figures rather than the 80th Anniversary line... This and the classic Thor are the two biggest missing Thor figures in my collection.

I am really hoping for a new modern Avengers Thor with the gold arm and the beard... In a perfect world they would include a regular arm and an alternate head sculpt so that we could also create a proper "Marvel NOW" Thor since the original release on the retooled "Return of Marvel Legends" Thor is outdated and out of scale.

Finally found Magik! I was about ready to spend $30 on eBay just to stop checking every Walgreens I drive near... This was in Clarksville, IN just across the river from Louisville, KY. -

I’m conflicted between the early X-Force (Thunderbird) costume and the red/blue modern costume. The black/gray Uncanny X-Force costume would be my number 3. The early (pre the aftermath of X-Cutioner’s song when Boom Boom redesigned everyone’s costumes) X-Force costume obviously doubles as Thunderbird from Giant Size X-Men #1, so that versatility is a plus. But, the modern red and blue costume (no fringe, vibranium knives with sheath) fits in with all of the Utopia era figures. I like the Uncanny X-Force costume, but since I know I’ll never pay the price needed to get a black and silver Archangel it’s not a team that is in as much need of completing in my display. So, in my perfect world the Thunderbird style costume is released in a box set, and then the same figure is modded to the modern red/blue costume as a Walgreen’s exclusive.- 54 replies

It depends on if they are doing a wave or a boxed set. In X-Force #1 the team only consists of the characters shown on the cover: - Cable - Domino - Boom-Boom - Feral - Shatterstar - Warpath - Cannonball Siryn, Rictor, and Sunspot all joined or rejoined the team later after issue #1. So, if they are doing a boxed set it would make sense to consist of: - Cannonball - Boom-Boom - Warpath - Feral since those are the figures we haven't seen from Hasbro since the "Infinite" rebranding. If it was a 5 pack I could see a re-release of Cable and a 6-pack a retooled Domino to match that outfit. I'm just hoping for Warpath somewhere in the line...- 54 replies

I know the Retro Wave 2 hasn’t really hit yet, but with so many gaps in the classic line up being closed it’s hard not to start thinking about what else is left to complete. That being said, what “classic” figures would you want to see in a Retro Wave 3? For me it would be: - Thor (classic on Odinson buck) - Hulk (retool or similar size to gladiator Hulk from Ragnarok) - Falcon (red and white) - Doctor Strange (classic) - Ms. Marvel (classic red and blue - assuming we don’t get it in the Captain Marvel movie wave) - Doctor Doom

Any Update on Walgreens Thing ETA?
BradMan replied to BradMan's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
WOOHOO! Thank you, Mangar, for the links! I was able to get my order processed... now we just have to wait for shipping and hope it doesn't get cancelled! -
Just like the title says - does anyone have an update on the ETA for the Walgreens exclusive Marvel Legends Thing? I was lucky enough to jump on the Walgreens website and get my Silver Surfer without the order being cancelled, but seeing other people not be so lucky has got me paranoid about missing the window of availability for Thing. Thanks!

Luke Cage and Claire Temple Netflix 2-Pack is back up for sale on Walmrt’s website... https://www.walmart.com/ip/Marvel-Legends-Series-6-inch-Luke-Cage-Claire-Temple-2-Pack/146367516?u1=&oid=223073.7200&wmlspartner=PxE*ot9VSWM&sourceid=34973260162474054201&affillinktype=14&veh=aff -
I would also add that a Giant Size X-Men box set would be a great Amazon exclusive... 4 Pack - Storm - Nightcrawler - Colossus - Thunderbird If it was a 5 pack then add Banshee in his green and yellow costume. If it was a 6 pack then you could add the Apocalypse wave Wolverine with the Juggernaut/Retro Wolverine belt instead of the X logo belt to be consistent with his appearance in that issue.

Here’s my Top Ten 1. Storm (Jim Lee white costume) 2. Colossus (Jim Lee) 3. Warpath/Thunderbird 4. Nightcrawler (Utopia era costume) 5. Beast (Jim Lee) 6. Banshee (blue and gold uniform) 7. Forge 8. Mr. Sinister 9. Jean Grey (Rocket Raccoon wave repack) 10. Emma Frost (Utopia era costume with cape)

Was anyone able to order the Luke Cage and Claire Temple Netflix Two-Pack from the Walmart website before it went "Out of Stock"? I haven't seen any of the Walmart exclusive Marvel Legends figures in my area since Falcon and Winter Soldier. I kept a tab open with the "King of the Dead" Black Panther for weeks, checking it every day to see if the "Out of Stock" would change to "Add to Cart" and it never did.... finally ended up going to eBay for it. I was able to get Silver Surfer from Walgreens' website when everyone else had their order cancelled, so I'm hoping I didn't use up all my good toy karma...

Any indication of SDCC/Hasbro day yet?
BradMan replied to Heisenberg's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
Took a few tabs open, a lot of refreshing, and about 20 minutes of fighting the system.... but i have an order confirmation! -
Since I started the thread I guess I should add my own thoughts to the mix... 1. Jim Lee Gambit I may be in a minority, but I would prefer a molded trench coat over a soft goods coat. That being said, in a perfect world Gambit would have arms that pop out at the shoulder like the upcoming Mr. Fantastic, and would include a set of arms without the coat sleeves. Also, I would love the regular head sculpt with the classic messy shorter hair style and then another headsculpts with the longer hair style Gambit sometimes sported in the late 90s and early 2000s. Classic shorter hair: https://marvelousnews.com/database/index.php?itemid=347 Longer hair: https://marvelousnews.com/database/index.php?itemid=1944 2. Unbeatable Squirel Girl I also cant believe, especially since we have Spider-Gwen and are getting Gwenpool, that we havent seen Squirrel Girl yet. 3. Occupy Avengers Hawkeye Since we got the retro Toy Biz Black Widow and are getting the one with her motorcycle soon I have been able to stop looking for the one from the Winter Soldier two Pack. Now that leaves Hawkeye as my only main avenger that Im missing. I just cant justify spending $40 - $60 on the Rocket Raccoon series version when I really dont think its a well done figure. The Occupy Avengers costume is more or less the same and would give collectors like me a chance to pick up a modern Hawkeye. 4. Warpath Im still hoping that a 90s X-Force Warpath is part of the Deadpool series and just hasnt been announced. But, if not, hes toward the top of the list for my X-Men related characters. 5. Beast Like everyone else, Im hoping for a new Jim Lee style Beast to complete my Blue Team. I think an alternate new ape style head and gauntlet could be included so that he would also be able to create his current Uncanny Inhumans look. 6. Secret Empire Captain America We got the figure in the (dead?) 3 3/4 Universe scale, so it only makes sense to get a Legends version too. 7. Kingpin I know this has been on everyones list for years. 8. Doctor Strange (Last Days of Magic) I know we got a pretty lame repack in the Doctor Strange wave, but I would love just one more Doctor Strange figure that represents his current look. The rolled up sleeves, cool facial hair bros looking head, and medival weapons are something we havent seen. Plus, add in some alternate lower arms with gloves and an alternate head and you have a classic Doctor Strange that Hasbro has never done. 9. Totally Awesome Hulk 10. Unstoppable Wasp (Nadia Pym)

Without rehashing any of the comic vs MCU debates, what comic style figures are at the top of peoples wishlists? Assuming that Spider-Man, X-Men, and Avengers characters remain separated in respective waves, are there characters within each group that are glaring omissions? I know I have my opinions and my favorites, but I am curious as to what other people are hoping to see.

They don't know... they'll sell all their inventory of these items no matter what time they are posted so they don't want to know. Having seen other corporate IT departments I can guarantee that they have one guy assigned to write the code or flip the line on the website to make the items available today. But, they have also assigned that same guy to some project related to HasCon, and his manager has told him that anything related to HasCon take higher priority. So, after he finishes the HasCon stuff... and has a lunch break.... and a coffee break... he'll eventually look at his ticket queue and resolve the assignment to make items available for sale on Hasbro Toy Shop on 8/14.
