  1. Focusing on Avengers toys, buddy.

They need to clear out the upcoming Avengers ML scaled figures by then.

Same thing is happening to the next wave of 3.75 figures.

Like I said, no GOOD reason. The Avengers stuff is pure crap.....all of it. And most of it is not even new!!!!

And they couldn't just put BOTH out? Its nonsense.

Just got most of the 6 inch avengers figs today and i can assure you theyre not crap. Personally, i like the spacing. I could barely afford buying the first 2 waves so close together. This gives me time and a goal to save up.

As for that deadpool, i saw it coming. Probably just a repaint of the 2 pack one, but I'll take it.

  2. Yeah they have not showed up im my area but supposedly they have in louisville,ky. Which is not far from here so i'm hoping soon. I wanna a hulk and cap.

What?! Im in Louisville! Guess i need to start hunting. Havent been to WalMart since i finished up the Arnim Zola wave. Hope i didnt already miss them i didnt know there were other collectors here. If anyone else is in Louisville, let me know!

  3. Same here. Nighttime or early AM is usually best. Beat the scalpers at their own game. Also, I've had good luck in the past by reading the forums and seeing when others start finding them to know when it's time to get serious about hunting. With their exclusives, Wal-Marts across the country tend to be pretty uniform in when they start putting them out. Not to say they won't show up on the coasts first, but typically it's been my experience that when someone starts finding them, they will be showing up close to home soon.

  4. Im going to get it since its the best we'll get. The only thing that makes me nervous is the base. Hopefully this wiill be in the SpiderMan line and doesnt signify an end to BAF figures. Also, glad it shows at least a willingness on Gasbro's part to make modern characters. Fingers crossed for Agent Venom and Scarlet Spider Kaine.

  5. One of my favorite covers.

Mine too. Say what you will about mcfarlane, I know some people arent fans, but theres no doubt the guy can draw. Im amassing a fairly nice collection of wolverine books. I got the original miniseries f/vf- for $30 on ebay about a year ago. I think my favorite cover, though, is Wolverine 17.

John Byrne, classic pose, and I love the red background.

  6. Here's what I did: Found all of wave 2 at retail except spidey. Found on the pegs were piledriver and viper. I was then lucky enough to get a case from Hasbro, and it came with masque and thunderball. So I had enough pieces to make both arnims zolas, and I didnt want the red skull one. I sold my duplicate caps, fantomex, and daken loose for $12 each and then put together and sold the extra baf for $55. This worked out better than selling the extra figures complete. I ended up pretty much breaking even as if I had gotten all tge figures abd variants at retail.

  7. If that employee gets fired.. It's their own fault. When you scan an item they have a screen where the barcoded item pops up. If the employee didn't realize that it said "DVD" or "CD" or whatever.. that's their fault, maybe they should pay more attention.

I'm not saying what your friend did was right. I wouldn't do it. But the fact that this friend was able to get away with it isn't their fault.

I agree that you should really keep this between you and your friend.. But I think everyone is giving you too much sh*t for it.. You didn't do it.. You bought the line at full price..

That's the internet for you, I guess..

Tell me that if you had to stand behind a register for 8 hours a day for minimum wage, scanning hundreds of items, that you would check the screen on every single one. Yeah, they probably should have caught it, but they also wouldn't have had anything to catch if this guy weren't such an @$hole.

Guess what.. I work at target.. I do scan hundreds of items.. I almost always look at the bar code either before or after i scan the item.. And most times you need to press a few keys for that screen to put the payment through, so there's no reason not to see what the last few items you scanned were

Also, Idk about you, but when if i were to scan a toy, and "Gone With The Wind" popped up, I'd look at that more closely..

Wow. I would not have expected someone who works in retail for a living to not fault the CRIMINAL for deceiving a fellow cashier, but it's a weird world, I guess.

Good thing you work at Target which is way too classy a store for anyone to ever pull something like that on you. But even if they did, I'm sure you would catch it because you check every barcode and the screen after you scan each item. Kudos.

  8. When it comes right down to it, what your buddy did was basically shoplifting. His Captain America figure would not approve.

Haha, I was thinking the same thing! Cap would not be proud, for sure.

I'm kind of surprised, even though I probably shouldn't be, at the number of replies that focus on how lucky this guy is that he didn't get caught. That's the lowest level of moral reasoning, and I'd like to think that as adults, we would all be a little more developed than that.

  10. I'm not condoning what he did. Truthfully i was pretty nervous for him. I paid at a different department and waited for him at the little mcdonalds in the front. I'm just telling the forums what went down today in our hunt. I do apologize if it ruffles some moral feathers on here.

What you said right there still shows me youre kind of missing the point. Your initial post came off as arrogant and laudatory, and your response is that you were "nervous for him." You were more worried about your pal getting busted than the fact that he robbed the store of about $80.
