  1. That's very bad-a$$. Thanks for sharing.
  2. Very cool - nice, quick take on the character.
  3. those are really fantastic - very well done - both the customs and the packages!
  4. wow - she's actually hot now. good work.
  5. very cool customs - I continue to be envious!
  6. Thanks for the great trade and great packaging!

  7. This would make a great boxset! Great work - nice execution!
  8. throw it in the freezer for a couple of hours and then carefully turn it around. What happens is that the paint is still wet when the figure is assembled and then dries, locking it in place. Changes in temperature can make it easier to crack the paint - I find freezing them works better than boiling though it does take longer.
  9. excellent work - you have vastly improved on the original.
  10. Nice colors - I like the multi-layered paint job you did. good work.
  11. Unless you're looking for a metallic and high gloss finish I wouldn't use spray paint at all. I'd just get some gold acrylic paint and use that. Start with all the joints bent all the way in one direction - paint the exposed parts. Let it dry. Bend the joints in the opposite direction and paint the exposed parts. Let it dry. paint either the top half or bottom half of the figure (so that you can hold the non-painted side while painting) Let it dry. paint the other half. Let it dry. do a touch up to make sure you didn't miss anything. Unless you're going to have him posed in one position, bend all the joints and apply touch up to where the paint rubs off. Let it dry. apply several washes of either some diluted black paint (really diluted) to make it look aged. You can mix in some brown for oxidation, some silver, or whatever you feel is right. dry brush the thing with silver to show wear and dents. lightly dip your brush in silver then wipe it off almost entirely on a scrap piece of material. Then lightly run the brush over edges, joints, where ever you would expect to see wear. Let it dry. touch up the face or fine details on the suit if you need to. Let it dry. if you want to you can spray the thing done with something like Testor's dullcote to protect the paint. Unless your paint isn't drying and is staying tacky you don't really need to. If you're going to pay with this or treat it roughly, then I spray it down. hope that helps - the main thing to remember is have patience and "Let it dry."
  12. I feel like my life just won't be complete until I get me some Runaway figures like these.
  13. Nice work - I thought the same thing when I opened mine - that I need to paint this figure!
  14. very cool - that tail looks like it's the hose from a Sentinel figure.
  15. really cool stuff - I like it a lot. I thought they didn't heal though - it would be cool to see a body part sticking out of his belly.
  16. Really fantastic! I don't have a juggernaut, but I do have the Hulk figure. I think I'll have to give this one a shot.
  17. Thanks! Here's a wide shot of the shelf. I've since added Dragon Man, but don't have an updated pic yet. Oh yeah, I got a Mephisto in there too.
  18. very cool figure. I like the concept, good use of parts.
  19. I understand the desire to switch things up a bit to show Marvel and Star Wars as their own sections. However, we have two Marvel Comics forums now - one is largely ignored, the other is used a bit. Also - there are 3 separate custom forums now. I think the usage of these different forums isn't really well described. Maybe we don't need 3 different custom sections.
  20. Here's what I did with my Marvel Select She-Hulk: I have to clean up the "bikini wax" area and also apply an additional coat of lighter blue paint to have her blend in, but you get the idea. I was uploading this image for another thread and thought that I'd post it here. Since the HML version is coming out soon, I figured that I could have some fun with my MS figure.
