  1. Great stuff Shayne! I'm totally stealing the SHIELD ladies. Excellent work on Venom as well!
  2. Red, I agree with Jason. When I get to Strucker, that will be the head I use. There's been some pretty cool Struckers on this site since the line's inception if you'd like to see what others have done.
  3. I love this pic! Great scene, solid custom.
  4. This is great! Do the new arms hold his weight? How did you attach them?
  5. Keep us posted on this! I'm intrigued!
  6. I think that this is a really cool idea. I just can't afford it. With that said though, I hope you get some takers. Also, it sounds like the storm didn't affect you too much? If so, glad to hear it.
  7. These look pretty solid man. I wish that I could see them in better pics, but what I see I like. Red Hulk's my favorite, but I like all 3 of these alot.
  8. The collar and shoulder drape was green stuff added to a DCIH Parallax cape. I think my roll of green stuff is getting old because it was REALLY hard to work with this time and it took a while to get it even close to the right shape. I wanted something more similar to the Vision cape collar but I just couldn't get it there. Well, regardless, I like it. Especially the head. Good work. I like this a lot. There's so much that's done well on your Omega Red. I would consider potentially moving the tentacles down closer to the wrists, but overall this is a good figure. I especially like the head, straps, pads, and belt. Great work on the head- this figure is instantly recognizable as Blade. I am totally looking forward to seeing the finished product!
  9. Yeah the lil flimsy arms on Doc Ock are a bit annoying. I'd be ok with mine though if they would hold a pose but they don't That Holocaust is ridonkulous. I like that it uses so many parts as it makes it so unique. It's just done really well. My current Spidey is the MU one where the webbing is sculpted not painted. I may try to duplicate what you've done there. It looks perfect in my book. Thanks for the feedback guys- it's much appreciated. Holocaust was a great opportunity for me to play around. I wanted to incorporate some of the elements that make him identifiable as Holocaust while still making him uniquely mine. Spider-Man was also a lot of fun, and I am really satisfied with him. I haven't totally felt that way with a Spidey figure in this scale. Diabolical, if you do something similiar to what I did with Spidey, here's a tip: the torso is hard, will need to be split, and won't want to fit back together if rushed open. Close call for me there- I almost ruined the whole thing right out of the gate. I hope you take him on- I think you'd make a killer Spider-Man. Paragon, awesome Red She Hulk! Your paint apps look stellar! PushYouDown- Great Moondragon! How'd you do the collar/ cape?
  10. I'm glad that you like them. Doc Ock's arms are actually from the 6 inch Spider-Man Classics line Doc Ock from a few years back. I really like them on him as oppose to the dinky things he originally had. As for the other two, here's the breakdown: Holocaust Torso, left arm cannon- Azrael (6 inch Batman line) Right arm, upper left arm, lower legs, upper torso armor- from a Japanese figure I picked up in Japan in '07. I had no idea who/ what it was even then (there was no English on the packaging) Upper legs & crotch- movie Green Goblin Knees- a Revoltech figure Head- Montezuma from a 25th Anniverseray GI Joe box set Dome- Deep Six (25th GI Joe) Backpack- Armored Cobra Commander Spider-Man Head- a Spider-Man Gashapon Torso, hips- "Super-posable" Spider-Man from his own line Arms & legs- Spider-Man from Superhero Showdown Shoulders- MU Spider-man wave 1
  11. And here's one that I just finished. A little-known character. Lol. With all the versions of him out there, I had yet to find a Spider-Man I loved. Now, I have one. He was fun, and a lot of work. It was important to me that he was a little shorter than most of the MUs out there, while still being slender and packed with articulation. Mission accomplished! canon pics 10-12 248! by accgsep, on Flickr canon pics 10-12 237! by accgsep, on Flickr canon pics 10-12 216! by accgsep, on Flickr canon pics 10-12 227! by accgsep, on Flickr canon pics 10-12 241! by accgsep, on Flickr
  12. Some awesome work on here guys! I especially like the Magneto. Here's a figure that I made months ago, but recently unpacked. My unique take on Holocaust! canon pics 10-12 192! by accgsep, on Flickr canon pics 10-12 205! by accgsep, on Flickr canon pics 10-12 208! by accgsep, on Flickr
  13. I may be mistaken, but I thought the TRU pack version was a straight-up repaint of the single-carded version.
  14. Topnotch, Rod! Some of your best work!
  15. I'd think lots of folks would want one. An energy shield would rock! I love your out-of-the-box thinking Rod.
  16. You're welcome. Yes, I do feel that it added scratch/ rub resistance.
  17. My guess is that a lot of us are waiting until after we see what's shown at SDCC. That's a really good idea...
  18. LOVE it! A nice touch to one of my favorite figures of all time.
  19. That would make it more difficult to make customs. Lol. I've clearcoated my figures. I've had mix experiences with it honestly (my own fault tbs). Sometimes, I've oversprayed them, and they get sticky. No es bueno! Also, the stuff I've used would make some parts paler (also when over applied). Most of the time, the overspraying would happen because I either (a) stood too close while spraying, or (b) I misjudged how evenly I was spraying. You don't want the stuff getting runny, especially not in the joints. It takes some trial and error. As for the prevention of scratches... one or two figs with the coat have still scratched from light roughing up. If there's a better method, I'd love to hear it. What do the rest of you think? What do you use? Any tips?
  20. 4 days and no new customs? We're experiencing a custom drought! Yeah, I know, I haven't felt like boiling, popping, painting, or sanding in this heat either.
  21. I like these. Juggernaut in particular is awesome. The part choices on all of these are excellent. What's Banshee's head? Are those the arm flaps from the ML version? How does he look with his arms down?
  22. Incredible detail work. I'm really impressed with this. Mind. Blown.
  23. I like it man. It may not have the articulation that most of us prefer, but that is a great looking set of customs. Way to add some diversity to the Skrull ranks.
  24. Fantastic man! I love this. The backpack idea is really cool.
