Wow... Great work Guido. One of the best Fantomex's I have saw. Thanks man! :D He was fun. I got the idea from another customizer on here that I'm just not recalling right now. Ha! I just looked it up. Onyx made him with a similiar recipe. That Angel is nice as well sir. I'll keep you in mind when i need customs done. You take commission's? I wish man! Maybe one day I will, but I don't have enough time currently. If that ever changes, I'll contact you. :)T hanks for that comment though. It means a lot to me to know that someone would pay to have me make something for them Is the halo is done by hand or is it a decal? Look awsome. By hand. I had to try it a couple of times before it came out right. Lol. Thanks Legend. Are we going to see you crank an Angel out sometime? Of the non-arch variety? Thanks man! :D Thanks for the feedback guys! :D I didn't even pick up on that, but you're right, dragonkings.

Angel: Recipe: Head- XMOW Gambit (modified) Body- Silver Surfer Wings- Savage Land Angel (Pre-Legends Toybiz) Wing articulation (ball-pivot & sleeve)- POC Jungle Viper I seperated the hair from the rest of gambit's head and trimmed down both pieces so that the hair fit lower on his head, and then painted both pieces appropriately before I reattatched them together. I use Krylon flat white for the base-coat for the entire figure, painted appropriately, clear-coated, and used Krazy-glue for added joint protection. I also attatched the Jungle Viper pieces to the body and wings, joint sleeves on the former, and ball joint on the latter. I filled the sleeves with Krazy-Glue litte bit by little bit until they could hold the weight of the wings in a solid upward pose. I finished up with a thin glossy white coat that was brushed on the wings to make them stand out a little bit from the rest of the white paint. For more pics, go to: http://onyxphoenix.forumotion.com/f10-banner-s-lab The idea for using Krylon paints as the base for Fantomex, Iceman, and Angel came from an OPP poster named Iron Will. I don't know if he's active here as well.

Fantomex: http://www.flickr.com/photos/52289612@N04/5714133781/ Recipe: Head- 25th Firefly Body- MU Moon Knight Coat- XMOW Gambit I think Gambit's coat is pretty dead-on for Fantomex. Especially with his earlier depictions. I might add some straps and stuff later, but I'm not really sure it'd add much right now. I first sprayed a good base of white on all the parts concerned, then a light lair of blue, and then another light layer of white. Painting the face and buckles really pulled him together for me. I think his slightly gritty look sets him apart from the other all-white clad characters I've made- like Doctor Nemesis.

Hey folks. Here's what I've been up to in my free time: Iceman Iceman and his sled are from the XMOW series. The ice blast is from a Mr. Freeze Gashopan. All of them were painted with Krylon Flat White (Plastic-bonding series). I think Iceman truly looks frosty now, which I prefer over his deep-glacier blue. If you are trying this painting method for the first time, you should know that the Krylon (plastic-bonding) clear-coat protection and paints works best when applied in a series of light, thin layers. Don't goop it on! Also, a bit of Krazy glue around the joints will provide excellent protection- as long as it's carefully applied. This guy was an educational experience when it came to the joint stuff- paint repair was necessary.

Nope, you arent the only one, I made this guy about 4 years ago... Love the Fallen love!
-
The Fallen! I am SO excited to see that you made a Mutant X character. I was thinking I'm the only person who even read that series.
-
Awesome! I'm liking these. My wife likes the female heads that you've casted as well.
-
Great heads. Did you alter th MJ one at all, or is it a straight cast of the release? Also, is Rogue's head a cast of Issiam's?
-
Fantastic work man! Very ingenuitive. I read that you used Avatar arms- that's smart. How did the arms plug into the holes you made? Did they fit tight, loose, or just right?
-
Powerman- Post it when you do. I'm curious. Also, did you ever read his run in the late '90's when he had the dreads and the body armor? I loved that series. I'm on the fence as to whether or not I'll make a custom of him like that, or in his more villainous role in Cable.
-
PigIron- Love it! Was Heavyduty the base? SageJdg- Awesome detail. Definitely worthy of the work you put into it. It's spot-on.
-
Bryms- Your sculpting is getting better and better! Those boots and gloves look awesome!
-
I actually like the look of the mu hulk with the movie parts better than the movie hulk with mu parts....now if only I had those movie hulk parts lol. I agree with Sage.
-
Good job man! I did something similiar earlier on here with the SW Hulk and a darker paint job. I felt the same way as you- for real. Red and Grey could also use this treatment. Sigh.
-
Quasi- Sorry for the late reply man! They're from the ML Doc Ock. They are fantastic!
-
Nice work on the customs. Glad to hear your wife supports your hobby man, thats a sign of true love. Thanks Onyx and TxHiro. :)
-
Also, a custom I've neglected to post for some time. Doc Ock, using the fantastic Showdown base: This was such a simple custom- once I was able to figure out how to securely attatch these uber-large tentacles to him. I really like how he turned out. The poses with these monsters are a lot of fun. They're able to carry the good doctor's weight, as well as that of a "passenger."

I feel like it's been forever since I've been an active poster on these boards. I enjoy this forum, even though I can't get on as often now I use to. I'm going to show you guys what I've been up to: I got married in September and life's been crazy-busy since then. I got a new job with weird hours, and time for customs and comic-related stuff has been reduced since all of these changes have taken place. I'm a very blessed man though. My wife is amazing. She tolerates my figures, and has even lent me a hand on a couple of customs. She wanted me to make our cake toppers, and really liked how they turned out. She even let's me display what she refers to as my "little guys" out in the living room, and reads comics with me. I know these aren't MU customs, but her cake topper's face was taken from a Showdown Invisible Woman, so it counts. :P BTW, one day, I'm replacing those arms with something, well, less simian. I'm open to ideas.

I'm siked by the idea of an Abomination head.
-
Onyx- fantastic man. So much skill right there. Glad to see you still producing awesomeness.
-
Those wings are too small to be accurate. The wings you need are from an old Toybiz Savageland 2 pack with Angel and Sauron. They are from 5 inch figs, but should work great for a 4 inch Angel. Wow, I feel like it's been forever since I was able to keep up with this thread. ANYWAY though... I agree with Brymstone. I'm using those wings for my angel. They work awesome. And they still have poseability. I'll post pics sometime.
-
That's awesome! Thanks man- good luck to you!
-
Spot-on man. I WANT that head!
