  1. a onyx did you ever finish the apocalypse you were making ? I can answer that one. No. His daughter has taken up ALL of his time. She has this knack for knowing when he is (1) online, (2) on the phone, (3) thinking about toys. And if he does any of the 3 she makes it known she is priority 1! But she is cute, so it understandable that daddy is wrapped around her fingers.
  2. I know that people have been wondering about find MU figures at different places (i have heard CVS & Kroger listed). Yesterday after work i hit up 2 Kroger stores and found that they did carry MU figures (one had the Thor wave while the other had older figures - only Surfer and Johnny Storm on shelves). The issue is that they ask $9.99 for them compared to Target / TRU / WM's prices. That is a bit much, but means i can expand my search for hard to find characters and hopefully find some that I need without online prices (but not much of a savings.) I will try to hit up a couple of CVS stores later this week/weekend.
  3. All this good work coming out makes me really want to get back and finish some of my customs. Great work all around! I am so jealous of the good work and the ATD you all have.
  4. guess i will be hitting up Kroger on the toy run tomorrow. I know a couple that used to be real good at getting ST & joe figures at a couple of years back.
  5. Kroger? I had not even thought of checking them out... and there are severa around the shoping areas i hit TRU/WM/Target. It figures. I have found the recent IM2 figures. I picked up Hulk Buster - he is a nice figure. I really love the sculpt on him.
  6. Mercury is really a cool character concept. I have always liked the liquid metal ones. PYD - great work on the team. I am not a fan of the look, but you really pulled it off and made it look good.
  7. TC... your slacking. How about you just box those up and send them to me? Then you can start all over and we both win! Great work bro! Glad to see your work again.
  8. I commented on another board, but will here as well. Great work. You did a great on them all but Thomas is by far the best thus far. Can you give us a better shot of the hand holding the claws?
  9. sorry, jc = Joecustoms.com Asphalt is on there as well as TriGate and he has cast up some hammers created by GiJoey from JC.com
  10. Nice job. And there I thought I had an original idea with using R&R for my Thunderstrike... I guess I need to go back and tweak him some. I have to figure out his mace as well. I may pop over to JC and see if I can snag a set of the Thor Hammers that Asphalt is casting up.
  11. Not as big of a draw but the newest wave of Spider-Man figures are showing up in Nashville area WMs. (those not flooded) I have not found Rhino but have seen all of the others in this wave.
  12. I agree about the eyes. I hate painting eyes, and have put off doing that on him. I have to go back and paint them up (hope to make them seem smaller).
  13. Here are another 2 that I am fiddling with at work... I know I need to touch up the paints, but not alot that can be done at work... and with the floods, not a huge priority. I will be going back over them later. I present Steve Rogers(s) Grand Director and Super Soldier. Super Soldier is only just past the initial parts selection. Grand Director is Capt American body (1st appearance) with Hawkeye head Super Soldier is Hawkey body with Storm Shadow hands, Agent Trakker Head, & Viper lower legs.
  14. Here is my Patriot that I mentioned in another thread.
  15. I have to agree that these were all some awsome customs. As for protocide... you are making him one massivly mean sob for Steve to deal with... ( i like it much better than the simple repaint i did for mine). The armored Moonknight (along with an armored DareDevi) have me thinking that is how they should have been in Marvel Knights (I might have to steal - borrow this and redo both my Moonknight and DareDevil).
  16. Nice work! I love the customs, and having the figures in different sizes seals the playablity of them as toys.
  17. Even better! I think I will have to pick that one back up and rethink that head.
  18. PYD... you suck! Your Hellcat looks great. I could not find a good head to use for mine. She has been sitting in a box to finish because of that. Which head did you use? is that a DCUIH? I had a MM one, but not happy. I was also thinking of the yellow and brown version myself.
  19. Rod, Good choice on Blade, but I think that makes him too tall. If you had the RoC Storm Shadow, you could use those legs (painted to match the jeans) and it would shorten him up a bit.
  20. Looks like he has been having 'relations' with the Visitors. how far along is his pregnancy? Kidding aside, the work on this is great.
  21. Onyx, Love the fix you did on Ben. I know you did something similar before, but its good to actually see the WIPs this time. Keep pushing the bar higher, you can still leap them.
  22. PYD... i think it was Rod that was making the Falcon out of Piledriver. I used the Iceman body for the lithe looking version. But I will have to see about the wings you mentioned.
  23. Doktor Avidan... I bet your one of the ones I am shopping around trying to find MU figures in the Nashville area. Try Demographic shoping (Donelson, Madison, Antioch and the such have not had much MU, but Old Hickory, Franklin and such do have the newer waves quicker at WM).
  24. Can i ask how you plan to do Falcon's wings? I have one pretty much completed but cannot figure out the wings. Think that will make a great Sam/Slam Wilson.
  25. Great work on the customs. And Onyx... we know it was all your ol lady's work to make this custom. (luckily she looks like mamma) She is a cutie. Hope all is well with you and yours. Give the baby a kiss on the forehead from me and my Jen.
