  1. When do you think the ebay scalpers will give up and figures will actually be able to be found at retail? Currently over 200 black cat auctions on ebay right now.
  2. I was about to say "is that a boy meets world" figure.
  3. Well it is a little frustrating but we're still getting some pretty cool figures in the line. I think in today's market you just have to take the attitude that you enjoy what we get and not worry about the stuff we don't. I don't know about that. I've been collecting since the beginning and I have almost every figure... but still as a fan of the D-List characters this line has been miserable. I know it's frowned upon to openly attack Hasbro but they've had issues with every product they produce. If there is not a movie to prop sales upon they seem in free fall completely incapable of getting product out the door.
  4. I can't stand those shoulders on the TB one. Every figure that used the giant ball shoulders looks so weird to me.
  5. Been so long since I've seen anything new that I couldn't remember if I HAD quit.
  6. Captain America Wave 1 at a Babbages games store. He might have been $9 or so.
  7. Mend it from the inside. Maybe use hot glue. Remember it's rubber (feels like wacky wall crawler rubber), not plastic.
  8. I need to check mine, same deal. Second I opened him I was pretty sure what the future held for him.
  9. As for me I collected mine when they were new, on shelves in stores... ...as God intended. As for I respect your view also. But do not say as God intended. The God intended line was a joke, guess not as obvious as I thought it was.
  10. Don't bother in New Orleans, all they have is the Marvel Select Black Widow.
  11. That's noble, but would you do it to save a four year from being set on fire? Or to spare the last forest? Or to redeem the souls of all mankind? . Like I said, I get it. Just see it from the side of those who never sold... too late, nevermind.
  12. As for me I collected mine when they were new, on shelves in stores... ...as God intended. . I understand the mindset, I don't favor it. But I do understand it. . See it from my side as well though, I've had many, many, many late-to-the-game collectors demand that I sell them bits of my collection. They become inspired by their newfound passion, they feel they will love that figure more than me, and that I am not a part of the natural cycle of Buy-then-move-on, I've been called a hoarder for it many times. I have been pressured, bullied, begged and condescended for not being willing to "share". I'm not against anyone elses choices, I'm also not swayed.
  13. I still get ML, and I agree with you, I don't understand buying just to sell... but I see that in a lot of collectors. Especially in comic shops. They view it as part of collecting, getting them all them moving on to something else. Some people do it because they like the thrill of collecting, others do it as speculators. I have more sympathy for the 'thrill of the hunt' guys, but either way they don't seem like real fans, and I always here regret from them when they talk about a figure they had and sold.
  14. I typically don't reference the cartoons when I talk about characters (I'm biased towards the comics), he has popped up lately, but even then I can't say he was used well. He's just not a good character, just someone used to fill a void. I think the problem is that I am a marvel reader, and I've seen Klaw enough times to have low opinion of him. . Also, my decision on all of these figures begins with asking myself "How much much am I willing to pay for this figure?" and Klaw isn't a $20 figure, I may pay $ten for him, and I think that may be what others are thinking as well. I suspect he will haunt the toy aisles for years, and may lead to stores not ordering newer cases... al'a MU Namor.
  15. It's depressing to see someone get excited for figures and then mention that horrible word ... "Deadpool".
  16. I'm sorry but Klaw sucks. That's the problem. Constrictor is pretty impressive though. But remember you're talking about $20 for Klaw... I'm a comic reader, and Klaw is a garbage character that no one remembers or wants or needs.
  17. Sorry, no. But be very careful with his legs, they break easily at the peg on the torso. I had one snap the first time I put him together. Took years until I came across a deal that was worth buying a new torso.
  18. Found Sif at a Marshall's store outside New Orleans last night. Good figure, but a little disappointed with her. The arms are obstructed by the cut of her clothes. Plastic is flimsy and the arms feel fragile because of it. Also if you're over aggressive trying to loosen her legs up I think there is risk that the joint will tear or break so be careful.
  19. Don't freak out, and don't get paranoid. They'll make it to market. It's a sales tactic for hasbro, by releasing one version and then later the other one it generates a frenzy.
  20. I walked into Wal Mart (new Orleans) yesterday and got both figures (w/mask) for $11 a piece yesterday.
  21. "black" spider-man? I believe the accepted term is "Colored" spider-man.
  22. Marvel Select. I have all the other versions but they're either Arnold or Fabio faces, too silly looking. I'm pretty sure I didn't even bother to open at least two of them. Second favorite is probably King Thor.
  23. Same, same and same. I still have him. There's a real difference in what people who have been getting them since they began want from them and expect. Makes me a little insensitive to how some people act since I've had the benefit of owning them all without ever having to do the Ebay thing.
