Just as a quick aside; It's really nice to see some positive posts about this line. I get so sick of all of the negativity surrounding new lines. The majority of the toys we collect are mass produced and we need to accept that there are negative aspects to this (ie. maybe not as detailed as we'd like, paint issues, less character diversity), but there are just as many positive aspects (relatively easy to find in stores, cheap (compared to things produced on a smaller scale, like McFarlane toys for example) and healthy lines that can survive for years to come!). For some fans their personal list of cons outweighs their list of pros, but that's a really terrible reason to ruin an otherwise enjoyable hobby for thousands of other people. It really all comes down to this: If you don't like them, don't buy them, and if their such "crap" in your eyes why even bother spending your time discussing them. Is your time really so invaluable to you?

Unfortunately in this hobby there are no certainties but this seems to be the trend, plus all of the Targets I've been to recently have gotten more stock since their resets a couple of weeks ago.

Wave 5 is already at comic shops and internet retailers so it should be showing up at the big box stores within the next couple of weeks. As for Secret Wars wave 2 internet retailers say September, so I'd expect to see them in stores at the end of September or the begining of October.

I found the same assortment at my Walmart 2 days ago. It sounds like this is the case revision (Wave 4, Revision 1) that's hitting Walmarts right now so anyone who's looking for the Human Torch Variant (Dark Blue/White) should check it out. Just FYI Target seems to be getting Wave 4, Revision 2. Found the dark blue/white Human Torch at a local Walmart this morning. I'm so psyched, this is the first time I've even seen this figure in person and since he's been out for a little while I really thought I wouldn't find him at retail. Now I'm finally caught up with every figure released until Wave 5 & Gigantic Battles start to hit the big box stores. Out of curiousity does anyone have any clue when the other comic pack waves are supposed to hit? Is wave 4 supposed to come out this year or 2010?

I found the Wolverine & Colossus deluxe pack at a Walmart in northern VA this afternoon. For anyone interested in this pack just a few notes. Surprisingly the best part of this set is Colossus in my opinion. Since he's essentially just a launcher for the wolverine figure I wasn't expecting much and was pleasantly surprised to find he has a good range of motion in his neck, swivel forearms, & ball jointed shoulders. He has no articulation in his legs or torso and mine had some pretty noticable paint flaws. The Wolvie was pretty disapointing though, keeping in mind mine could just be a fluke, his legs are very very loose and he wouldn't be able to stand anyway as his feet are badly warped.

About all these variants, does anyone know what's up with the Ronin (Black) Variant, I keep seeing this on lists but I've never seen a picture of it or heard of anyone finding it. Does anyone know anything about this figure? I'm also trying to get a good picture of the newly released Iron Fist Variant, if anyone has these (carded and/or loose) please post here or in the pictures thread. Thanks!!!

Has anyone seen the new Daredevil Variant (Dark Red) or know how it's being released? I'd assume with wave 5 as EE lists a daredevil in the case but this is the first I've heard of this variant. As a side note does anyone know how the 'Negative Zone' Human Torch is being shipped? I've found the Thing in dark blue/white (I think the white boots are awesome) but I've never seen this Human Torch and from what I've heard he's been out longer. This picture is horrible but it's all I've seen so far:

I really like the way those Hydra and Shield agents are looking in quantity. I want to army build these but so far I'm not finding enough of this set, only the one I bought so far. I seriously hope that given time this will be easier to find. PS. On a side note at my local TRU, though they didn't have any in, I noticed these have been marked up to $24.99 (the DD/IM/SS set is still $29.99 btw). Anyone else seeing this mark up?

I'm in Northern VA (Manassas). I also found The Thing variant (see pics threads for good images of this figure, the first I've seen online ). And I got my SDCC MU exclusives from HTS today. It's a good day!

Just wanted to drop a line to say I found 2 cases of the XMO: Wolverine Deluxe packs at a local Walmart. I passed on them myself I think these figures are pretty shoddy compared to MU and I'm 99% sure these will show up at discount stores in mass quantities.
