  1. those stilt legs on Machine Man are genius.
  2. There's a whole customs section on this forum--that's where the MU Customs thread went. Can you get the peg out? The problem will be, even if you glue it--the joint will never be all that durable again. If you have a dremel you can drill a small hole in the plastic spot where the peg was--then low tech-wise glue a toothpick (cut to the right length) in there and then insert the arm. It might be snug enough to work on its own, but you may also need some friction filler.
  3. ..not that odd really since there is a whole Customs forum on this site that is often a ghost town.
  4. Went to TRU last night and they actually had LESS then they had right after Christmas.... must be kids spending gift cards. Then went to Target. They had a post-holiday clearance aisle. Man of Steel toys mostly and IM3 5poa figs. I picked up movie Electro and almost got Winter Soldier, but ended up passing. I'll wait for a sale. They did have a new 5 POA Spiderman figure. The previous ones all looked like Vehicle pack-in figures (narrow leg and arm pose) but this was an Iron Spiderman (no waldoes on his back) in a better more "actiony" pose with a thwip hand and a wider standing base.
  5. How'd they get WORSE at Evans' face likeness? The unmasked Cap from the Avengers line was pretty perfect....this is bad.
  6. Not Marvel.... This is my Fallout New Vags Raider gang in front of my sign graveyard backdrog.
  7. Saw the Amazing Spiderman 2 figures. Electro looks great if you like movie figures. It looks like he has a v-crotch which I think is less onerous looking than a t-crotch. I would have gotten him, but the line was looooong.
  8. TRU has BOGO1/2 half off sale on Marvel figs. Picked up an Avengers Black Widow and a light up base black Widow for customs.
  9. Re-vamp of Astonishing X-men Armor This is the Harry Potter Cho Chan head on the MU Ms. Marvel body. I think the head works pretty well, I was afraid it would look too big.
  10. Mutt's is a good leather biker jacket. Marcus(?) from the Terminator Salvation line I think has the best one, in my opinion. Indiana Jones has more of a bomber look for an open jacket look. GI JOE 25th Anniversary Gen. Hawk torso for a closed jacket look.
  11. ...enamel stays tacky usually due to chemical reactions with the plastic or sometimes just due to humidity. Why not use a flat acryllic and then a layer of glossy? Also I recommend a layer of Mod Podge on softer plastics. It keeps paint from getting tacking in the first place.
  12. Yeah the Watcher is the other Select figure I'm looking for. Hopefully for far less than he's selling for on eBay. Man! Prices are all over the place for that figure--one Buy It Now for 100, some for as low as $25. Seems median price is around $40. I looked under completed listings. It is weird that there are only two on all of Ebay right now. http://www.ebay.com/sch/Toys-Hobbies-/220/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=marvel+select+watcher&_in_kw=1&_ex_kw=&_sacat=220&LH_Complete=1&_udlo=&_udhi=&_samilow=&_samihi=&_sadis=200&_fpos=&_fsct=&LH_SALE_CURRENCY=0&_sop=12&_dmd=1&_ipg=50

  14. I just got a Cho Chang figure for that purpose...I'm afraid it might look a little big though.
  15. I actually started doing a coat of modge podge on my figures, it protects the paint and dulls and glossiness. It can make them a little too muted I admit. It's also a great way to paint over soft plastics like capes and such and have them not remain tacky to the touch.
