  1. If anybody is still waiting for their wave 3 preorder from BBTS this is the reply I received from them today:

We have received a partial shipment of these figures, however not enough to fulfill all of our preorders quite yet. The supplier informed us they will be sending us stock in waves. As soon as our next batch arrives we will then proceed with processing more preorders. We are at the mercy of the suppliers and manufacturers when it comes to preorders, as they tend to provide very little information about exact arrival and/or ship dates. We would love to have everything arrive on time as expected with firm release dates like movies and video games for example, but unfortunately in the world of toys it can seem anything but consistent! I apologize that no further information is available at this time.[/size]

O well. I gave up on them and will most likely never order from them again. That's ridiculous. They are shipping wave 4. I ordered wave 3 from entertainment earth last Thursday and got them in today.

  2. Finally found wave 19 (minus Kang) at WM. Exciting as that was, what really made my day was seeing a little kid and his mom looking at the Marvel figures. This kid could not have been more than 5 or 6. He saw She-Hulk and got excited, then flipped when he saw Ghost Rider. He was grabbing them and he found Falcon. He jumped up and down, saying Falcon is his favorite. I told him Falcon is going to be in the next Captain America movie, and his eyes lit up. His mom showed him the BE Iron Man, Comm. Rogers, and the classic and FF Spideys and he did not seem the least bit interested.

Hasbro execs, you need to pay attention here. This kid was more excited for a female, a "boring, obscure" character, and a "scary" character than he was for all the main heroes combined. And they say only Wolvy/Spidey/IM/Hulk sell...

Reminds me a couple of weeks ago I was in walmart and a kid about 7 or 8 was looking for some figures. He told his mom that he needed some villians. He had everything on the shelf. He finally found an xforce 3 pack and relunctly bought since he told his mon he would pretend they were bad guys.

  3. My daughter (8) loves Avengers now, her favorite of course being Ms. Marvel ("because she looks like mommy"), so, her first "custom" action figure...

Nice. My daughter loves ms marvel too. She thinks the clasdic with the short hair looks like mommy and i look like captain marvel on superhero squad show.

  4. Patch, I feel like the more ya do it and read tips and listen to suggestions the better ya get.

example... I learned there's a huge difference between sculpting with hardware putty and greenstuff. When I first started customizing i was using mighty putty to sculpt hair, accessories and whatever I needed.. The putty hardened so fast it made it difficult to sculpt.

what kind of paint do you use? it looks like it flakes easy.

Yeah I need to invest in some in some green putty. I was working on a custom skrull using cement putty and it is rough to work with. I usually use folk art acryllic paints. They are pretty cheap. I never had a problem with on other figures but it seems the plastic mu uses is harder to paint over.

  5. I like thoose wings. Good idea! There is some really good talent on here. I am almost embarrassed to post my limited customs. I have dine a lot of classic gi joe, new star wars and pirates customs. For some reason mu has given ne trouble. Here is an old dark beast and mystique i. did before mu came out.

  6. Here is two of my latest customs. Maria hill is a pretty simple headswap. I might paint the body if i can find another movie black widow. Nick fury still needs some accessories attached and my white paint was hold so it not go on as nice as i would have liked. Let me now what ya'll think.

  7. my Walmart has comic two packs clearenced for 11, 3 packs for 17 and avenger 4 packs for 22. Picked up a dd and be pack. May go back for a gambit and sinsister pack or the gog 3 pack. No thanos or adam warlock though only pm ifist and qs wman.

Also saw the doom spiderman and rhino spiderman packs at tru. No she hulk thogh. Will keep looking. Hoping to find that pack.

Also saw the gi joes at dollar general. Got storm shadow and cc. They had all the others. So if anybody really wants them. I could pick them up.

  8. I went to Target here in CoMo and they had the Captain America 2 packs on an end cap. All they had on the shelf for MU was 4 pegs of Iron Man Classic and Extremis. The computer said they had some in the back so I asked a worker I know to pull some for me since they usually don't pull for collectors I was happy.

They had all of wave 14 in a big box that looked like an end cap display. It had been picked over though. I passed on Doom and Apocalypse and clear Dr. Strange, no colored version. I picked up a Falcon and Skar. Falcon is sweet. I really like that body mold and his lower arms are better than Cyclops and Captain Marvel.
