  1. Wow...wowie-wow-wow.... ...wow.
  2. That looks rad! Hopefully somewhat at Hasbro will see that, grui, and be inspired to release a figure based on it. Storm gets a bunch of outfits, Rogue should too.
  3. Anyone know if these Bieber toys are in 3.75" scale?
  4. Great custom of a cool character! Loved that Ellis/Deodato run on Thunderbolts (Caged Angels was pretty tops for me), and then Flagg's run with the Guardians of the Galaxy afterwards. I wonder what all those Guardians are doing out in space somewhere now?
  5. I remember the plastic Millenium Falcon I had as a kid (exchanged for the die-cast version because something about that one was "unsafe"), while not the sturdiest toy, and not really seeming fully totally in-scale, did fit a bunch of figures inside. There could be pilots and gunners and people just sitting around in the den or walking the little hallways. That thing was cool. But I've never seen a toy vehicle for any figure series that seemed as impressive as that one.
  6. Wow, that is a Fabian Cortez custom! Dope!
  7. Personally, I was surprised to come back to comics and discover that Black Widow was shooting people. When I read her she was always using little tranquilizer darts on her wristbands.
  8. Got Mr. Sinister and Gambit in the mail today. Sinister is boss! Beautiful coloration, wicked cape, wicked shoulder pads. Very impressive. But I actually liked the Gambit figure a lot also. I know everyone wanted a better sculpt for Gambit, with more articulation, but there are tons of canny improvements here from the XO:Wolverine figure. The colors balance in a much more subtle way. The resculpt of the head brings the whole figure up a notch. I'm just about up-to-date on my figure needs. The addition of Sinster/Gambit and Thanos/Warlock have really brought balance and variety to the collection once again. But the new pictures from Toyfair will have me jonesing for more figures real soon.
  9. Ares' jaw is jutting with conceited superiority. It's like a Deodato or a Frank Cho drawing come to life. I think it's amazing. This means a custom Ares may be in my future, after all.
  10. Gave in? That's like buying the 2-pack for the price of one figure! That Silver Samurai pack is pretty great, I think. Silver Samurai is an awesome figure, and that Wolverine is not too bad either.
  11. I've said it already, but really, Onyx; Hasbro ought to snap you up to sculpt this stuff! It would be hugely to their benefit. Dinamite, that is Karma! That's awesome! Hopefully this motivates someone at Hasbro to get crackin' on the New Mutants. Can't wait to see your other customs to come. And Gerrilius, that Scarlet Spider is dope! I don't think he's too shiny; in the drawings my impression is that the suit is some kind of rubber or somewhat reflective mesh anyway. What a week for customs! This is motivating me to start getting serious about the half-finished figures I have laying around everywhere.
  12. That's a pretty cool idea! You're more adventurous with the cutting than I am. I always assumed one would swap them at their knee joints, but your idea is much better. What would you use for posts?
  13. "Here's Ultimate Thor: http://www.toysrus.ca/product/index.jsp?pr...=12595404" Man, looks like there's something up with that figure. If he is shorter even than the movie Thors, I don't know why they even bothered.
  14. A Bucky or Patriot figure also has those cuffed boots, in a slightly more petit mold. Not sure if it will work with the Kitty Pryde figure's leg proportions, though. Awesome Karma! She has been one of my favorite characters since I was a kid reading New Mutants Annual #1.
  15. Something about that head sculpt makes me think of Brandon Lee. You could make a great Crow custom out of it, I bet!
  16. Nice work, Thor-El! There's an important character so far overlooked in the MU line.
  17. wolverine2281, did you win the lottery? That haul of toys is larger than I can conceive of or hope to attain. I did grab Ages of Thunder Thor, Patriot and Iceman today. The shop in Universal Citywalk only had those and some figures from earlier waves I didn't need. Apparently they already had Psylocke and even the new comic packs, but they sold out of them. Figures! Patriot is a really cool figure. Hopefully, he's the harbinger of more New Avengers in the near future!
  18. Wow! That is some nice work, CommanderRogers. The paint especially looks perfect. Incidentally, I've found that Roadblock head works especially well as a non-shades head for Luke Cage, as well. A gloss could help the white. You can add acrylic matte medium and mix it in to temper the level of gloss in some paints. Not sure how others do it.
  19. "is distribution bad for you in your area feihong?" Often it is. Once in a while we will get something right as it becomes available. The Dr Strange wave arrived pretty quickly, as did the Power Man/Iron Fist comic packs. Like everybody, we got Spiderwoman and World War Hulk and Captain Marvel and all right away when they first appeared. The 1st 3 waves of MU arrived pretty much right away and they were easy to find. But starting with Red Hulk and Hobgoblin the distribution has been pretty spotty. I've been to other areas of L.A. to search, but I think I miss the waves other people find there. The huge majority of the figures I have are ones I've ordered over the internet. I've wanted to do some customization with X-23, and I finally can. I'm planning to do a version of her in the goth costume she wears in Target X, and I want to try one in which I shear her legs a bit shorter, if I can swing it. Outside of that, it's a great body for young women characters, and I want to try a Surge and a Mercury the next time I see this figure for sale.
  20. Saw an X-23 in-store for the 1st time. I grabbed it, went to another store and saw another X-23. Now I own 3 X-23s. One of them has a lower-slung belt than the other two; I couldn't even explain how much it improves the figure. With the low-slung belt the legs don't look too long. Kind of amazing. Also netted my 1st Cap Line comic-style Hydra soldier, and a Duke from the new GI Joe set. His head is absolutely perfect for modern Captain Britain.
  21. Not to mention that in the preview for next week's issue of Moon Knight, Moon Knight turns out to have one of Cap's hologram shields. Some cop shoots at him and he defends himself by whipping that thing out. I'm sure lots of people will think that's lame but I find it hilarious. Hopefully somebody on ebay will break this pack up into figures and sell me just the cap.
  22. He looks fantastic. Really fantastic!
  23. I think Cable might be a good size for Ares, but it feels like Ares needs a slightly bigger build.
