  1. I got my three variants in the mail today, and if the long haired version turns out not to be the variant, I am going to raise a fit after paying what I did for it.
  2. Here are some customs I've been working on lately. There's nothing here that is really complex or out of this world, but I am really happy with how the Red Skull turned out.
  3. I love a lot of these customs, but I really love that Forge. I have an extra Wolverine sitting around, so I may very well plagiarize this idea.
  4. I just picked up the Hobgoblin. I didn't realize this wave was shipping yet. They also had another Doc Oc. This one had many more mechanical arms. They looked cool, but they were all orange! I thought about picking it up and painting them but passed for now.
  5. I just found the Hulkbuster wave at Toys R Us outside of Chicago.
  6. I've seen Doctor Octopus twice now (both at Wal-Marts), so I've just missed the Rhino twice.
  7. I once used that Santa head on a Rancor Keeper body. It is a great sculpt for a battle damaged Santa.
  8. Congratulations. Enjoy the new addition to your family.
  9. I just got the newest Secret Wars figures. My buddy Bill picked them up at Wal-mart last night. They are great. I am glad to have a Nightcrawler and a Storm for my X-men collection.
  10. That Sasquatch is beautiful. I am deeply impressed by it. I was at a party last night talking about reading with a fellow employee of mine (I also used to run the writing center on campus, and I hadn't seen this guy since I fired him several years ago). We were talking about how I should probably be reading more high-brow stuff (and in my defense, I am reading Sherman Alexie's new book right now) but that I can't stop using the school's inter-library loan system to check out graphic novels.
  11. I can't beleive that I don't check these boards for a day or two (computer problems at work) and miss such an exciting conversation. Hamlet, Romeo, Othello (a few references to The Prince added in)...I missed all of the Shakespeare discussion! Come on, guys, wait for the professor of literature to join in next time. The Daredevil looks great. You should be proud of your work. Now, does anyone want to discuss MacBeth? We could look at Lady MacBeth and see whether it is right to let the woman wear the pants in the family!
  12. That Batman looks awesome. Great job with the symbol. Darn, that Venom looks so good, I now have to go out and spend more money to get those Sabretooth legs.
  13. Can you post a picture next to another Marvel figure for size comparison? I'd love to see how it compares in terms of scale. It looks great. Great use of that head.
  14. That Ghost Rider is awesome. I love the bike (and the Rhino beneath it). Yes, that is the Hard Master's head. I did the same thing- bought it at a Marshall's for $6 or so.
  15. Here's my take on Daken. I stole the recipe from somewhere else on this board.
  16. Here's the picture with the hat. My wife, who took the pictures and added them for me, said that I had to say that she's fabulous and beautiful
  17. sorry man, i think it got lost in all the arguing. i really loved the custom. it looked like you put a lot of effort into that piece. you said the hat could fit on him? Yeah, the hat is an Indiana Jones hat, and it fits nicely. I have a picture with hat that I can post when I get home. Unfortuately, it doesn't match the coat, but I liked the black (and the arms matched so well) so much that I was hesitant to paint it.
  18. I'd really like to see your AoA Weapon X. I've been thinking about doing one myself (lots of extra Wolverine parts due to discounts, and Wolverine's head is pretty distinct). Speaking of Wolverine customs, did anyone have any feedback on my Old Man Logan (now a page or two back)? I hate to beg, but I was really hoping to get some comments (negative or positive...I accept criticism).
  19. I guess I could only post one picture; if you guys would like to see more, let me know. The hat fits over his head.
  20. One of my students loaned me Old Man Logan last week, and I was inspired to make this custom. It is one of my first Marvel customs (my others I've just stolen from you guys). I am pretty proud of it.
  21. Wal-Mart is doing the same with the Star Wars Build a Droid 2-packs. They wre impossible to find for a while, and now, they are everywhere again.
  22. Now, we all need to buy a bunch of Marvel figures at our Targets, return them at the $1.98 Target, and re-buy them for that price after they are re-shelved.
