  1. Alrighty then here's my last 8 days haul. Waited until I got in today's package before loading them all up. one order came from BBTS, the other from HTS and the newest Iron Man figures, along w/ Mandarin & Ult Armor came from an eBay seller. The Stark Armor & Munitions War Machine I forgot to capture while still in package so...sorry about that. I'll probably wait til the kids are asleep later and open up these guys. Enjoy!!

This bad boy came from fellow board member Orimarrko. Holding it down for all of us here in the Cen Tex. Thanks bro!

Got these lovely gems from another local collector w/ at work delivery to boot. Thank you TxHiro!

Needed that extra AA and had initially passed on NZ Thing but IMO, he's way more awesome than the standard colored version.

Got these two beauties along w/ the Iron Man Legends series 2 from BBTS:

These came from Hasbro Toy Shop along w/ Hulkbuster Iron Man (6 inch) and the repainted super poseable McFarlane spidey which I HIGHLY advise you pick up

  2. I can't remember how often Toy Biz put out a new series. I want to say around ever 3-4 months? But this month of April has been super busy for me in regards to collecting. What w/ Thor figures, Iron Man Legends, new 3 3/4 Iron Man series, not to mention the upcoming Cap & MU 13/14 waves about to pop up at any moment, oh and did I mention Gigantic Battles? Now that said, once 2012 hits, how often are you looking to see new figures? Be it single or double packs. Personally, I THINK I'd be happy w/ 4, 6 figure waves for at least the first year or two. Factor a variant or two per wave, the random exclusive here or there and the likely 2 packs we'll get along the way....I think it's a good starting point. I mean hell, that's a minimum of 24 BRAND NEW ML figs in one month. I mean if we can get Hasbro on point, get Diamond Select to keep pumping out the "big guys" we need, assume that the Iron Man/Spiderman 6 inch lines will continue.....our older TB Legends could fade pretty fast. Blasphemy I know, but let's be honest, there are alot of TB figures that need to be remade and retired. Thoughts?

  3. on Monday got in comic Whiplash & Cyborg War Machine from BBTS. Yesterday got in Hot Zone Iron man (fun figure) and the Stealth Mark V armor IM. Got an order of nine figures on the way (including Mandarin, Hammer Drone & Ult Armor Iron Man) and will post pics of all the aforementioned once they're here.

  4. nope. We the fans voted on those and other figures and somehow the top 3 were:

    Deadpool (who we already had)

Warpath (who is awesome but looks sad standing by himself in black/silver Xforce colors)

and Valkyrie who while is needed for the Secret Avengers is a pretty crap figure.

I'd like to think Hood and SOME others we had a chance to vote for see the light of day. Still holding out hope for that Silver Samurai & 1st ap Storm as well.

  5. Did you find the other at retail?

others like series 1? Or this set? Series 1 i've seen at TRU only. Only came across Titanium Man once in Killeen and snagged him. Already had Mark VI & War Machine from that set & "Hulkbuster" IM is on the way from HTS and only cost a nice $8 after that spring20 discount. As for THIS set, I got them all from BBTS for $54.99. Less than retail & they were in stock. W/ gas approaching $4 a gallon, it was a no brainer. Plus w/ this set out of the way, the comic Mandarin/Whiplash/Cyborg WM & Ult IM out of the way and most of the 2011 "Avengers" packaging Iron man figs out of the way, all I have to search for now will be the newest MU wave, Giant Battles & the few from the Captain America line that i'll pick up. GREAT time to be a Marvel fan (expensive, but great, lol)

  6. Yeah I know there's a haul section but nobody looks there anymore, plus I haven't seen that anyone has gotten these yet. Got my set in today from BBTS and damnit...they are AWESOME. As expected, War Machine is the weak link but whatever. Still is different and works for what it is. Dynamo is amazing as are the two repainted IM armors. Money well spent, can't wait for series 3. I'd LOOOOOOOOOVE if we can get a 6 inch comic Whiplash.

Pretty bad day to be a good guy

  7. It's still $17 after that discount. I still can't bring myself to pay that much for this. I just paid $16.50 for Marvel Select Magneto and that's a way better figure. I wish they were $10.99 at wal-mart & tru.

I gotta disagree. I have both versions of Magneto & Titanium Man. If you want a display piece, helmet-less Mags is AMAZING but his shoulder articulation really hurts. The one w/ the helmet has a goofy face which, if you paint his eyes white does help, but still suffers from the articulation, or lack thereof. Pound for pound, Titanium man is a better figure. Worth $17.99? Hell, for the sheer joy of opening a new, legit 6 inch figure, it's totally worth it. I got that Spiderman Carnage at Wal Mart last week for $9.96 and it felt awesome getting a figure I'd been looking for that would go into my official Legends display. Spend your money man, it's what we work for. Enjoy it.

  8. here's the link for those who haven't picked him up yet:

    http://www.hasbrotoyshop.com/iron-man?BR=8...;ST=SO&PG=3

Probably won't last long. don't let pics of this guy throw you off, the colors are NOT that sickly neon green and w/ he fits in perfectly w/ your ML collection. Definately a step in the right direction and if this figure is an indication of what the future ML waves will be like, I'm totally ready for the ride.

  9. Had the variant pack of Warpath/Deadpool & the classic Urban Legends 4 pack delivered this past Friday. I had that UL set years ago but finally got it back. I tell you what though, that's one hell of an underrated/underappreciated set. The Daredevil IMO is hands down the BEST ML DD we've gotten. Spiderman is a decent choice and reminds me of the MU version that came w/ Sentry. Elektra will be awesome when I get her situated next to some white Hand Ninjas and the Punisher..well, in an action or punch throwing pose, can look great as well. I still find that Deadpool figure overrated but that blue/red Warpath is just too cool for school.

  10. Anyone have a picture of Marvel Select Magneto next to Marvel Select Juggernaut? How big is Magneto?

MY LCS listed Hulk and Juggernaut at $42 LOL

They're on my desk at work. I can get that pic for you tomorrow though. Magneto is a bit tall for ML but if you put him on a flight stand it is much less noticeable

  11. I just started collecting marvel universe figures a couple of months ago and found this site a few days ago. All the recent good hauls here made me go to 3 targets, 2 TRU, and 4 Walmarts (2 days ago) looking for variants but all I found were tons of spidermans, AIM soliders, and iron mans. Went to a Walmart for food today and came across these. All these new MU figures are gonna send me to the poorhouse!!

    344yy3r.jpg

    Great haul. I'm jealous!

seriously. Hell I'm jealous of you guys finding AIM soldiers. We dont' even have those here! Just series 3 Iron Man, BE Iron man and the occassional Spiderman variant. I've only got 3 AIM soldiers, would like to get up to at least 5 or so. Of course priority are the variants but still...
