  1. I don't know, but I do know that bands only get like 10-15% of the record sales, IF that.

    Disgusting.

Which is why I refuse to pay 35 bucks for a cd at HMV that isn't imported, rare, or has anything special about it.

I'll stop pirating when they stop charging ridiculous amounts of money for cd's (Or start giving the bands more).

If I could take the money for a cd and drop it right in the band's own hand, I would buy cd's all the time, and I tend not to pirate local work, because I know the amount of money and time that goes into producing that.

The other night I found a cd I wanted, fairly well known band for $8.99, and I bought it, but I saw others I wanted for 32.99, which is ridiculous.

  2. I really didn't care that they're anti-war; it's their right and I respect that. What bothers me is the way they went as far as lying and manipulating in order to push their agendas. Moore is a lowlife and isn't any different than a Nazi political propaganda movie maker.

Of course he is different than Nazi Propaganda movie makers, the only difference here is that you don't like him, along with a lot of pro-Bush American's.

You, in the first part of your post declare that it is the right of liberals to hold anti-war ideals, but then you go on to compare a man who expresses his opinion in the form of a film, to nazi film makers, as if you can even attempt to legitimately justify that comparison, beyond the fact that you don't like him.

NO you don't agree with what Moore says, NO you don't think what he says is right, but the fact remains that it is his opinion expressed in the film (though I do agree, they do go about expressing that fact poorly). He is showing a movie based on "Factual" evidence, which I can even admit I question a lot of the time. In fact, I can safely say that I don't believe a lot of what I see on television or in film, Moore is no exception.

But to try and compare him to members of the Nazi party is just plain ignorant. I do enjoy his films, but I also am aware of the fact that it is HIS opinion, and as I watch it, especially with friends we will often argue against what he speaks of in his movie, so don't anyone try and turn this around saying I completely agree with him. However, unlike many others who completely demonize him (Yourself included, along with pretty much the rest of America) I realize that it is an opinion and should speak little of his character, espically shouldn't speak enough to compare him to the nazi's.

Can't say I was expecting much else from a thread about Moore on this messageboard.

  3. ^^I agree. Now, you're at least a casual N.W.A./Eazy-E fan, so I'd imagine you think The Game is a fool for wearing a huge "N.W.A." chain all the time. I saw him wearing it on TV once and laughed while shaking my head. guitar.gif

    More than casual dude.

Everyone who knows me at all knows me as the die hard nwa fan, it's ridiculous. People don't really get it at first, then when they find out that I am serious when I tell them I listen they laugh.

I even made some friends with the black kids at our school (Who for the most part have their own group and don't associate with many of the non-rap type folks). Several of them thought it was quite cool of me to own the greatest hits album.

now: Rascalz ft. Kardinal Official & Choclair- Northern Touch

  4. Mike Jones - "Still Tippin"

    HAHAHAHA

I am listening to the exact same thing, and was about to put that before I came in here and saw that, awsome.

now it's Rascalz ft. Barrington Levy & K os- All around the world.

Anyone else like the Rascalz, straight Canadian hip hop, straight outta t-dot.
