  1. Looks like the auction for Hercules is up to $31 now. I can't imagine how much these would have sold for if the HK seller just let them go to auction and started them at $0.99 with no reserve. An Angel is up to $10.50 now too.

What's funny is that auction was going on while he had bin on herc......I got one for 9 shipped.

He had it listed in a way I've never seen before with the drop down menus to chose the figure and didn't use any actual character names so I have no idea how people find these auctions. $9 is a steal. I got the Longshot and Angel ones.

Question for the customizers: Do you guys think the Magneto/Adam Warlock head would be a good one for an unmasked, blueface Angel? I don't have that Magneto or AW to make a comparison, but thas a custom I want to try to make if Rodimus or Onyx has that head cast for sale. Or would a different head work better?

  2.

Lots of figures sold out now. I couldn't resist on a $5.99 Longshot, so I bit the bullet because he is near the top of my wants list. Too bad Rogue was gone. Hopefully, someone here got her and will post pics.

I don't like supporting what was probably stolen or trashed, but I figure buying them at retail still supports Chinese labor practices and everything these days, even American Flags, are made in China.

    Thanks for posting link.

  3. So a female friend of mine apparently purchased me Jubilee for Christmas, which is awesome. What's not awesome?

    JUBILEE HERSELF!

I was super careful removing her because of the worry about her arms. So I decided not to mess with her arms and just leave them how they are. No big deal to me. So as I am removing her...HER LEG FALLS OFF! I have spent the last 20 minutes trying to get it to reattach to no avail. It is almost like she was packed in without her leg even attached. Her left ankle looks as though somebody decided to break it and it heeled wrong.

I am officially peeved at this figure. Which is a shame, because her face? Looks great. Her arms are holding onto her body, granted because I am avoiding touching them. But her leg? Yeah it is refusing to go on. Anyone have any tips? Because this is frustrating.

You could try to heat the leg joints with a hair dryer or hot water and when the plastic is soft, reattach it then run it under cold water to freeze the joint in place. This will help with warped body parts as well. Hope this helps.

  4. Found these 2 guys at TJ Maxx today while searching for a purple Sentinel and picking up The Walking Dead game via preorder:

I've never seen them before and I'm a sucker for removable parts, heads, etc. There was a bunch of figures from the Armored Avenger line I've never seen before including a light up War Machine.

Both figures are available for trade.

  5. At least you guys are finding stuff. The 2 closest Wal Marts have the same 10 Dr Strange for months now. Everytime I go to the one closest to my house, I ponder buying the lone FF set with clear Sue among the stack of GoG sets, but it's always still there when I go back, so no rush in getting that one. Maybe this is how it looks when a specific Wal Mart is no longer carrying MU. Target has the same Psylocke wave for months, too.

  6. Yall are trippen, I have never seen the prices drop on this stuff.

Retail prices may not drop, but the resell prices are higher when new waves drop and come down once the figures have hit every retailer and no one wants to pay inflated prices because those collectors have already overpaid to have them first. Resell prices only go back up when figures aren't reissued and a ton of new collectors join the ranks and they are the ones that drive the prices up using ebay to get older figures no longer available at retail. This happened at the beginning of 2011 when the revision cases mixed with the new waves created a lot of variety on the pegs, which attracted a lot of new collectors at the time.

So yes, prices do drop eventually.

  7. Seriously, guys? I'm reminded of why I stopped posting here in the first place. Any time you offer a dissenting opinion about something you're branded an outsider who just doesn't get it. What a lovely "community". I'm out, have fun with your echo chamber.

I'm still looking for the response that made you feel like an outsider who just doesn't get it for having a dissenting opinion about FFF...

  8. Maverick's lower legs from the XMOW line is what was used on the Gambit on my sig pic. It adds height to the figure as well. The only problem is the peghole for stands on the bottom of his feet: its at the midfoot and is very shallow, MU stands don't fit.

man I want a maverick just to have a maverick... even though xmo version kinda sucks.

    where's ya get gambits neckpiece?

It was sculpted on. I didn't make it, though. I've seen people use the neckpiece from the DC 3.75" Manhunter Robot figure (I forgot what the DC 3.75" line is called. DCIH??) & those look great too.

  10. The Deadpool is not my creation, but it uses the DereDevil body with XForce Deadpool head sculpt and some other pieces from Deadpool comic pack. Its freaking awesome

Agreed. That Deadpool looks amazing, especially with that dark shade of red. Was wondering where that headsculpt came from.
