  1. Well done Rodimus! I think it looks more 'superheroish' without the collar!
  2. Yeah my brothers loved the figures. It took forever to be able to find heads that looked like us. I lucked out the last year or so with heads and when those new Joes came out, well it gave me the perfect bodies to use. Just had to give my brother Brian bigger arms because Heavy Duties wasn't doing him justice but then I found Hawkman figure and it all came together. We haven't played the Marvel RPG but once with the figures but it's fun being able to have battles and use figures of yourself to play with your characters that based off you as well. I've made some civilian bodies for them as well. how did you get the hawkman arms in there? did they fit perfectly in the peg holes?...or did you have to use a 'new' socket...and what did you use if so?(i wasnt a big fan of how the shoulders moved on that heavy duty fig)
  3. Did you have to 'dremel' the arms or shoulders to fit with moon knight(i assume that is mk's shoulders with white hand ninjas arms?)
  4. Oh...I've asked the wallmart employees when they get their shipments...and they apparently have no idea! they also dont know when they have them in the back in their warehouse either!...and to top that off...they look at me like i'm hassling them...or like im crazy... when i ask!
  5. Thanks for the advice. I'll look into it. However, the plastic putty hardens and stiffens up pretty nicely while allowing some bendability w/o the worry of paint rubbing or chipping (it's actually made by the same people that make the paint I use). It took me a little while to get the hang of it, but I figured out how to work it and cut and smooth it so that it works. what type of paint do you use?...and does it take multiple layers?...like most thin acrylics?
  6. that sucks ...Guardian and Luke Cage are figures i would buy 2 of!...I just checked my closest Zellers store(department store) and they had 5 red hand ninjas...bunch of ironmen, a thing and torch and still the ms. marvels too...
  7. Guardian? is he a "pegwarmer" down there? up here in canada he's nowhere to be found!...go figure...lol up here in northern alberta canada our pegwarmers are: thing, classic ironman, "silver centurion" ironman, black spiderman, dark blue(+red) spiderman, ms. marvels, and red hand ninja, +dark blue +white human torch!
  8. they are more expensive at our 'Zellers' store(11.99+tax)...but there were 3 red hand ninjas last time i checked! I dont get to town often(i live an hour north of our closest toy stores...and i dont drive) I'll see if they are still there next week!
  9. Our wallmart(Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada) just had an influx of more wave 1-3 figs(2009)....anyone else have this happen? We don't seem to be getting in any new characters!
  10. [attachment =3646:DSCI0378.JPG][a ttachment=3649:DSCI0383.JPG] there! not done yet(still needs some sanding and smoothing, then scoring) but thats it so far!
  11. all my pics are 1.76mb or less now..and i receive this message when i try to upload: "upload failed. Please ask the administrator to check the settings and permissions" what am i doing wrong?
  12. I took some pics...uploaded to my sis' computer(i dont have one) tried to upload to this site...after which time it says i didnt upload anything? ideas? suggestions?
  13. my screw fix isnt in very far...besides, without glue it might unscrew everytime i attempt to swivel the leg counter clockwise...i fear... I've begun to convert my mu things arms to mimic venoms bicep and elbow swivel...its "worked" on one arm so far! I'm waiting till tomorrow to do the next arm...dont want to rush. I'm using 2 Thing figures...certain parts were sacrificed from each. I replaced the right forearm with the other figures left forearm...still looks more natural than the way they had it.
  14. which glue do you guys use? ...say...for glueing a screw into ball joint as peg fix?
  15. I hate Batman....and i would love to have that version of him...WELL DONE! Nice fix onyx! I'm not a fan of bright orange thing...but it looks good! Did you fix his right forearm too? I can't tell by the pic.
  16. So....i've not joined in the custom making fun because i am always looking for the 'perfect' figure parts(perfect size and color), i usually refuse to paint my action figures because of paint rub and such(are 'real' action figures painted with paint or is that a thin layer of plastic?) I do have some sculpting skill ,and a minute amount of painting skill ,and a whole bunch of action figure parts. if i start sculpting and painting, then i can join in on all the customizing fun. Should I? is there a super durable paint type?(what do the companies use?) which type of paint and which type of sculpting materials would be most durable(as well as flexible?) I could use some expert opinions...or anyones opinions really?
  17. for iceman(i have 2) i might 'shave down ones bicep/tricep area into a cylinder(that 'just' "houses" the elbow peg) and hollow out the same cylinder from the second figure and place bicep/tricep area on first figure ...now...i should buy a third figure...in case i completely wreck the first 2
  18. ive done a custom on xow deadpool....gave him mu x-force wolvies shoulders(a little bulky, but the only 'black' ones i had at the time) mu dd's arms, shs magneto's t-bar ball hips and t-bar(inserted by drilling from the bottom up)
  19. Onyx! I'm looking to convert xow cyclops and icemans arms into bicep swivel(i have 2 of each figure, if that might help?) if possible i would try to make them akin to venoms arms? i have some ideas but am hoping youve done this and can tell me what works? also, i dont want to have to paint them at all(im trying to keep them as 'action' figures) i would also like to convert their hip joints to t-bars. i cant even fathom a way to give iceman t-bar hips....
  20. i like the shiny metallic look!...i think every character would benefit from that kind of look! + ONYX! good eye, good imagination, good skills! i would never have thought to use the venom body for apocalypse(i'm still waiting for a body type between venom and hulks sizes)...that being said...it is already looking amazing! I could use some advice onyx! I'm going to post my questions in your "how to" topic(the one where you showed the arm that you were going to use for poxlips!)
  21. nicely done customs everyone! has anyone tried to do a decently sculpted, in scale colossus yet? ..and, i know this is off topic , but...does anyone else think they should bring aoa/exiles sabretooth over to regular continuum? ....exiles is over...regular continuum sabretooth is dead...
