  1. And as someone who has purchased several sets of the other thigh extensions, let me say they are completely worth the money. I'm excited to see them done in multiple colors now also.

Considering picking up some of those thigh extenders for my MU Hulk. Hows the color fare in person? The purple seems just slightly off to me in the pics but I know those can be deceiving. Do they require a bit of touch up or are they pretty spot on and ready to pop on?

There is no way I could ever perfectly match the same colors Hasbro uses. But,it will greatly help resolve any paint rub issues.

  2. How exactly would i put those thighs on the hulk?

Pop the legs off at the hips, take the legs apart at the thigh swivels, put the lower part of the leg below the thigh swivel into the new leg extensions and pop them back on the hulk. Some heat may be required, but not always needed. It is really simple. Hope that helped.

Exactly as my friend stated. I usually heat a small cup of water in the microwave and after I put them on the original leg,I dip the part that attaches to the hip in the hot water for a few seconds to heat it up. After it is a bit warm, it is easier to pop onto the t-bar.

  3. Onyx- I’m loving the thigh extenders! Out of curiousity, what would you consider your most purchased product?

Estogarza- Strong work on Ares! I wouldn’t have thought of those part combinations, but they work. Also, I have that same Antman. My only Heroclix figure.

AnimalSquables- Killer Instinct? That’s awesome. Like Diabolical said, good paint apps. It’s cool to see people come up with something for that crazy Lizard figure.

Fritzkrieg- The Cylon is a cool idea. Any plans for a modern one?

Paragonassasin- I LOVE all of the customs you posted. Special props for the Black Panther and Bishop!

I'd have to tell you that in private.

BTW, Gamma THighs are now available for ordering.

  4. I believe someone said I wouldn't do purple colored thighs. I did three colors!

Awesome! Now can you elongate his torso a hair ;)

Here's the hair you asked for. As for the torso, I'm sure I could, but not everyone know how or wants to try to take apart their Hulks and I don't want to be responsible for them destroying it in the attempt.

  5. okay, I made a little picture to show what I am talking about.. Hulk's original leg on the left side of the picture has a seamless transition from top to bottom. His new leg on the right has a sausage effect from the top to the bottom

The Hasbro lower thigh sections taper at the top so that the top thigh section continues the taper up into the hip joint. The Onyx upper thigh extensions would have no choice but to *not* follow the Hasbro lower thigh taper in order to make the upper thigh extension longer and still have some semblance of normal physiology (e.g. not be shaped like a pear).

tl:dr - I don't think what you are asking for is possible without a new lower thigh which would defeat the point of the product.

Still a w.i.p. The first pic is the more recent.

Yeah, this isn't the final product. It tends to happen when making them. For example, the previous ones you mentioned were sculpted by me. These were made by shayne with me doing fine details. It''s difficult for us to notice this effect without the pic. Just showing everyone that has asked for them that they are on their way. When you said seamless, I thought you meant where it attaches.

  7. After being closed for 2 weeks to prepare my house for winter, and clean up from "super storm" Sandy I reopened last night after adding these:

    015-30.jpg

as well as several other new items.

I think that this is a really cool idea. I just can't afford it. With that said though, I hope you get some takers. Also, it sounds like the storm didn't affect you too much? If so, glad to hear it.

Sorry, I didn't/can't see his posts, but that explains why my friend was so adamant about me doing it.

  8. Has anyone done a Wesley Snipes Blade? Onyx maybe?

I threw Agent J's head on this body for fun it was really silly looking and for the hell of it i put a lil sculpting on the hair and painted him blacker and imo it looks a lot like wesley snipes blade. Also as Onyx mentioned there are others who cast the head. I think it is Glassman Customs that has an amazing one

Yeah,if you like air bubble holes!

  9. Thanks for the reply. So it's true, I am the genius I always knew I was.

Real Men of Genius! Here's to you, Mr. Marvel Universe Ankle Disassembler!

    Mr. Marvel Universe Ankle Disassemblerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  10. Can someone articulate the best way to take apart a Marvel Universe ankle? I can never seem to do it without making an incision.

Pulling the foot is easy with boil and pop. Then the peg that fits into the foot has that circle attached to it that seems to be an unbroken circle 360 degrees that sits in that rod/peg in the ankle which also seems to not come out?

I currently do it by either making an incision in the circle attached to the ankle peg or the horizontal rod inside the ankle. That seems to work, but if there's a way to do it without an incision that'd be clutch.

Here's a picture because it's hard to describe:

What I am asking is the best way to get this peg and circle piece out of the ankle, and off the horizontal bar in the ankle. I currently cut the rod in the ankle, or cut the circle attached to the peg. Both have been working for me but I cannot figure out how Hasbro puts this piece together?

It's press molded together. The only way to get it apart is the ways you mentioned.

  11. Ok need some help im working on a new blade using a new punisher, I like the old head and had an extra blade body and head. Now the ball socket on the head is larger than the joint on the body. Question is what can I do to mount the head onto the body, but still get full mobility. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Put a dab of greenstuff in the neck hole.Wet the neck ball. Put the head on and turn it occasionally as the greenstuff hardens to avoid sticking. Problem solved.

    Make it tight

    Get it wet

    Keep it wet

    Keep moving it

    Sound familiar?

  12. i asked this in a couple of forums on fb to no avail. has anyone ever customed a 3.75 sentinel head to put on all those iron man bodies? If not is there anyone talented enough to take it on. human sized sentinels in multiple colors like that konami x-men arcade game

I answered you on my page!

sorry oynx i posted this before i got ur reply in facebook. but thanks. i'm just tryin to see if there were any ideas. i'm not the best sculptor or customizer so any ideas would help.

No worries.I think the idea I mentioned would probably be the best route.

  15. w.i.p. pics - omega red and AOA wolverine/ overlord........

I did an Omega Red a while back using many of the same parts. I assume the thighs are from Venom right? Wish he had been around at the time I made mine. Good work thus far.
