  1. Hit a couple TRU-Ex's, a big TRU and a Target or 2... Still no sign of Wave 11 in the Dallas area... I've been seeing all the same stuff Sephiroth mentioned. Trouble with TRU right now is when they took down the cube displays, all the leftovers are now clogging the pegs. And the Targets near me rarely restock MU. I did score something today, though!... The last Ben Reilly at TRU! No sign of Carnage (probably won't get him anyway, I'm not a huge fan, but I'd at least like to SEE one in person).
  2. Checked a TRU Express near where I work yesterday, and while I had no luck with new stuff, they had a bunch of XMOW Comic Series figs... Got Cyke, Iceman & Deadpool for $5 each. Not sure why I never picked these guys up before, but hey, I got 'em now!... I guess Deadpool was a bit of a score, since my LCS has one priced at $20... Note to customizers & G.I. Joe fans... There was a Marshalls in the same mall and they had a TON of Joe stuff (movie and non-movie)... $4 single figs, $7 comic 2-packs, several vehicles... I even spotted (but didn't buy) a bunch of the fancy "Hall of Heroes" Joes for like, $5 or $6... I haven't checked any other locations yet, but this store had pegs and pegs of figures, plus a whole table covered in vehicles, 12-inchers (or whatever that larger size is), etc. I don't collect Joes normally, but ever since that "Steve Rogers head" thread popped up here a few days ago, I've been wanting to try a couple head-swaps. Thanks to Marshalls, I now have a Trakker head for a modern-ish Cap and a "Fred" head for a Clint Barton Ronin.
  3. It must be "Sentry Day"! After weeks of searching, and after finding the Jean/Scott, Venom/Daken and Cap/Logan packs... I went to a Walmart WAY farther than I normally travel (McKinney, TX), and they had THREE of the Sentry/Spidey packs. It's always nice when you can pick and choose the best paint jobs. I've hit 3 TRU's, 4 Walmarts and 5 Targets in the North Dallas area since last weekend (visiting a couple of them twice), and still no sign of Wave 11... Grr!
  4. Found the Cap/Wolvie (got one) & IM/Thor (passed) Comic Packs at TRU today... Still no sign of the Sentry/Spidey pack anywhere, though. I skipped the 1st brown Wolvie comic pack, so I'm pretty stoked to get this one. Cap Annual # 8 is one of the first comics I ever bought, and still stands as one of the greatest comic book covers ever... I have to admit the slash-marked shield is kinda half the reason I picked this up.
  5. TRU near my house on Tuesday: no cube. TRU near work yesterday: no cube. TRU near my house tonight: CUBE!!! Picked up helmeted Iron Patriot (already have a "Norman" but the star is all wonky), Captain Britain, Ghost Rider & Mystique (the only one they had, and thankfully she's flawless!)... Passed on Multiple Man, since I'd rather have a current X-Factor version, though amusingly and appropriately enough, they had a TON of 'em in the cube... Also, by sheer luck, on the regular pegs I found the Cyke/Dark Phoenix 2-Pack... But no Galactus yet. I suppose I should just order one. Thanks to Longshot's list, I discovered that tonight's haul puts my collection at exactly 75 figures... After only a year and a half... I think I may need to seek professional help.
  6. Wow... It's definitely the weekend to find new figs! And less than 24 hours after mentioning I hadn't seen any Mary Janes, I found one today! The same Walmart had a few each of short-hair Winter Soldier and unmasked Osborn, but oddly, still no Skrulls... Nice to see these waves hitting stores finally!
  7. I hit 2 Walmarts today, and had luck at both! This morning, I found Iron Spidey & Winter Soldier (short-hair)... And this afternoon, I scored a Wrecker and an unmasked Iron Patriot!... No sign of MJ or Skrulls, though. No luck at local (Dallas area) Targets. The 4 or 5 stores I've visited recently haven't restocked since their reset a few weeks back. Most of the endcap displays are bare, and the pegs well-picked-over... Lots of AIM Soldiers & Juggys and the occasional Colossus to be had, but nothing else new yet.
  8. I bought the one and only Kitty I've seen in the wild, so if she's on your want list, maybe so... But I'd say give it a month before calling it a "mistake"... I've seen (at least remnants of) several of this year's harder-to-find waves in the past month, but definitely not all in one place. With the holidays approaching and stores increasing toy inventories though, I'm hoping we'll see all those waves start to spread out a bit... Hasbro did say at SDCC that all of this year's waves should be hitting stores before year's end, so I'm holding 'em to it!
  9. You're in Las Vegas? Try Smith's grocery store. They're owned by Kroger. In California, try Ralphs. In fact, here's a note to everyone (I mentioned it before, but I think my wording made it seem like it was directed only at DecepticonMark)... Grocery store chains tend to be regional, not national. The Kroger Co. owns chains all over the country. If you don't have a Kroger in/near your town, you might have a Smith's, Ralphs, QFC, Fred Meyer, Fry's Food Store, Dillons, King Soopers, Owen's Market, Baker's, Jay C, Hilander, Gerbes, Scott's or City Market. They're all the same thing... If any of these other stores are in your area, check 'em out! You may have the same luck that we Texans & Southerners are having at Kroger!
  10. @ DecepticonMark: Thanks for the Kroger tip... I found an AIM Soldier and a Colossus... Best part was, they weren't in the system. I told the cashier they run 7 or 8 bucks most places, but he only charged me $3.99 each! They had 2 of the AIM figs, kinda wish I'd gotten 'em both now. And to add to TheGreatGarloo's tip about Ralphs... Kroger Co. owns over a dozen supermarket chains. Depending on where you live, you guys may also have luck at Smiths, QFC, Fred Meyer, Dillons, King Sooper and more... Their full list of stores can be found here... Find the one near you, and happy hunting!
