  1. @marvelousben: It's how exacly as I said it is. You get a set but it's bundled by the local distributor. They got a case which included all eight figures from 3 different wave plus psylocke and silversurfer. But they only bundled in the new ones and sold psylocke and silver surfer separately as singles. I said "one off" because usually the sets get sold out in the distribution, after this whatever's left are then sent to the pegs. Also before it was a "per wave" affair, but who know's what Hasbro was thinking when they sent this assortment case to our local distributor. so what the distributor did was bundle the new ones and sold them as sets and not necessarily sold them "per wave". Basically the distributor cooked up this scheme after consulting with local collector forums, and as I said this was to protect collectors from being taken advantage of by scalpers and hoarders. I myself am no shop owner, I guess our local distributor cares enough about collecters here in the philippines that they go out of their way to organize these events. Hope that cleared it up :D
  2. @marvelousben: To prevent from hoarding, scalping and cherry picking, the local distributor in cooperation with our local hobby forums made a "distribution system" where stuff like MU, joes and TF are distributed by set, so you get a one off chance at getting a whole wave without having to buy a case, but these usually do not reach the pegs at the local malls, so if you're a fan, you NEED to go to these distributions to get your fill... Back on topic, these 2 baddies just arrived... Cost me a pretty penny, but am glad I finally have them! now the dilemma is whether to set them freefrom their prisons or not....
  3. Great job rodimus! Now we can ask why hasbro failed to do such a simple job...
  4. ^yes bro dip it for about a minute in boiling water, yank the sides carefully and repeat as needed, it should come off eventually...
  5. Just to clarify, the head is unpainted... And i think the face is based off the secret wars art or the spiderman and his amazing friends show.... here's a shot from the show... http://sharetv.org/images/guide/357235.jpg you must admit there's a resemblance right?

  10. These were released yesterday here in the Philippines via a one day only distribution scvheme for collectors... Here are my hauls... Was able to catch these 2 too... For those wondering about the differences between blastaar Plus the spidey variant galore...
  11. Each of them is like a miniaturized version of the Mighty Action Battlers released by hasbro, each comes with their own action feature... Iron man has a button at his back that when pressed causes his arc reactor to light up and his left arm rises as if letting off a repulsor blast... Captain America has a gear at his back that when turned makes his shield spin... Hulk has a lever at his back that enables him to do his hulk smash... and Thor has this button on his back that enables him to throw his hammer... and for those wondering, here they are as compared with the 3.75" avengers figs... well worth it!
  12. Hi guys! with the avengers craze going on, everybody wants to jump in the bandwagon... Our local gasoline stations in the philippines surprisingly offered these... The Avengers collectible tumblers with figures from Petron! Here they are with the tumblers... and here they are up close... worth the hunt IMHO :D

  19. Wave 4 2011 has been officially released in the Philippines Last July 2, 2011. Here in the Philippines, in order to prevent peg warmers, the whole wave is yusually sold in sets. These are only available for distribution at special events, like the Dark of the Moon Toylaunch here... Might be a blessing to some and s curse to others, me I'm just clad I could get my grubby hands on them... here are my hauls... and from n a friend... (More ammo for customs) :D
  20. Riverspoons already made one... http://forums.marvelousnews.com/index.php?showtopic=2061743 :D
  21. @uberlad: You should bro! Hot melt glue guns are really handy especially for customizing :D @Legend: it's fairly easy to make one bro, so no need to cast it, I'll try and make a simple tutorial next time :D Thanks guys!

  23. More pics here http://forums.marvelousnews.com/index.php?showtopic=2061669
  24. @Onyx: The Add ons for Venom are WILD! very nice! Same with Red Skull.... As for hulk I think the teeth/mouth is too big, maybe reduce is by 10~20% and it'll be perfect! @DresselRebel: Not familiar with ghist but that customs looks good! Here's another one that I finished recently, presenting my XMOW Gambit! Not much work done here but I think it greatly affected how he looks. Just added the upper chest armor (got this from DCIH Manhunter Robot). Here's how he looks with his coat off... and boosted up his accessories (inspired from the marvel select figure)... the thrown cards were made from twist ties, pla-plates and hotmelt glue colored with clear paint... Full battle gear... Tell me what you think!
