  1. Finally got my MOE set a few days a go & had already bought an extra Bulldozer on evilbay due to the matching Orange colors Tigershark & BD had. I hate the oversized Cable buck they went with on Tigershark so I knew I was gonna have to do my own properly scaled version of Mr Arliss. I boiled both figs for 3-4 minutes, then used a screwdriver to pop both upper torsos off. I then popped TS upper torso onto the BD lower torso, swapped out TS legs from the knees down onto BD's legs & then swapped out a Frost Giants left hand & replaced TS left hand with the more claw like looking FG hand. Repainted the wussy lilac colors Black & a 3 hrs later I had my version of a properly scaled, meaner looking Tigershark. I'll post a couple of before & after pics. Comments/critiques welcome.

  2. that cable looks awesome. Roadblock buck is pretty awesome.

Did you have to separate the torsos to get the arms out? whats the best way to do that?? thanks!

Thanks, I only had to swap out Cable's right hand & you have to put the torsos in hot water for 2min so the shoulders are extremely soft, then I use an exacto knife & slice the shoulder joint area & swap Cables robotic arm onto the Roadblock buck. I boil & pop off the legs to get the harness/belts on. Hope that helps.

  3. I hate that gigantic buck they used for Cable & now unfortunately Tiger Shark! Those guys are big, but not freaking 7 footers! Anyway, my Cable custom is based on the new GI Joe retaliation Roadblock buck which is an awesome buck for characters in the 6-6, 6-8 range! I just swapped Cables head, left arm, right hand & straps/accessories onto the Roadblock buck, painted it Blue/Yellow & also used one of Wolverines's shoulder pads & IMO, a much better scaled Cable that doesn't tower over his other fellow X-men. Comments/critiques welcome.

  4. Here are my custom Skrulls.

Nothing personal bro, but you can paint a turd Gold & it'll still be a turd & the atrocious lack of articulation on those Skrull bucks cannot be hidden by any paint job. Only thing great about those figs are the head sculpts. I bought 4 just to swap the heads onto the much better articulated MU Skrull soldiers. Again, nothing against your attempt to make em look nice. They are just badly unarticulated figs. IMO, the entire Avengers line is just so-so due to Hasbro cutting back on the POA.

  5. yeah man, that works great for Crossbones!

I would do the same, but I am bummed that they didn't give that Roadblock figure double knees and ankle joints

Thanks Clam. I hear ya bout the lack of ankles, but I'm sure there's a MU figure or Joe that I can swap out the lower legs with that does have ankle joints. Just haven't checked to see which one yet.

    Great Coulson btw Spidersam!

  6. Sorry! Crossbones is easy, GI Joe Retaliation RoadBlock body-MU Cap movie Crossbones head & left hand was from Joe Cobra Adder.

classic Black vest Namor consists of: MU wave 15 Sub Mariner head/upper torso & arms. Black vest/belt & ankle wings from MU wave 5 Namor & legs from MU wave 14 Dr Strange.

  7. what are the chances of a colabo with noodlechow & onyx or some superskrull parts (heads, thing fists that attach to mu) on the onyx phoenix website ?

    HELLLLZZZZZ yeah!

Okay, so I've not used even 10% of the stuff I ordered already, but I'd have to place another order to get some stuff like that. Well, assuming it can be done for under an arm and a leg - looks like it would end up being really pricey to produce.

@ Parademon1, nice group shots. Love the backgrounds too. I've got some brickwork "scrapbooking" paper that I've used, but what's the store front you've got there? Is that just a picture that you printed out? I've thought about using some pictures, but so far I've been too lazy to try to figure out how to print them and make them look right.lol

Yep, just random pics I've printed out then add some painted balsa wood for some trimming to make it a bit more 3 dimensional.

  8. Crossbones was also on the small side for a 6'4 character. Crossbones head/vest & used a GI Joe resolutes boxset Roadblock for the body, another red faction figs fingerless glove hands & ROC Stormshadow gun holster. Now he has the needed hgt & a different look that I think looks cool.

  9. Hi everyone. Thanks so much for the critiques/suggestions on how to improve my battle damaged SCIM. Will post new pics once I fix up his 'clean" arm & armor.

Here's a few more MU customs I worked on these past few days. I was not happy with the short scale of the comic versions of US Agent & Cap from the movie line so I simply added the proper hgt to US Agent by giving him Hawkeyes boots & painting them Black & I kinda like the Black boots look. Maybe paint em Red later, but it added the hgt he was lacking. For Cap I used the Ultimate universe cap body & put comic concept Cap's head on it & swapped out the unarticulated lower forearms/wrist with the Days of thunder Thor's forearms & gloves, then repainted the boots & gloves a deeper Red. Now both Cap & US Agent look their proper hgts IMO.
