  1. Looking to do an easy spiderman custom. Question, is there a difference between the Superhero Showdown Spidey and the Marvel Legends Showdown Spidey? I know the just changed the name but didn't know if there was a variation in the color or sculpt.
  2. Has anyone tried to do an amalgam of the TRU Apocalypse and the single carder version to make a more classic looking all blue version? I'm trying to put it together in my head but I've never done any customizing. I imagine you'd use: Single Carded: Boots Shoulder Pads-(modified) Cuffs TRU Ex: Body Arms Thighs Hands Head I guess other than the shoulder pads it's really just a repaint. Ok, now someone make that for me!
  3. Guys, if we all keep buying crappy figures, Hasbro will keep making crappy figures.
  4. So I was checking out my Bullseye (from the 2 pack) last night and I noticed the shadowing/wash effect is very subtle. A nice slight airbush of a blue-ish grey on the white areas. So what the hell did they do to Punisher in wave 19? It looks like he was detailed with a stick of chalk. An otherwise fantastic figure is marred by terrible finishes. FF Spidey is even worse as the wash on his torso is different from his arms and legs. Seriously Hasbro, get your QC under control.
  5. Score! Found wave 19 at a TRU. Went through the ol' "we can't ring this up yet" ordeal but they were nice and worked it out. Even got them to price match Targets $7.99 with the receipt from this morning. Grabbed, She-Hulk, Kang, Punisher, and S. Witch. Passed on Spidey cause I dont have the FF set and I really dont want to pay full price for it.
  6. It doesn't seem to be advertised but Target is having a sale on MU. Just to clear the pegs I bought 3 Psylockes, 3 Gladiators, and 2 Storms for $7.99 each. This is confirmed for Cali and S. Florida at least. I'll most likely dump these off at another store but if anyone needs custom fodder let me know.
  7. They have it's just been sparse. My buddy found wave 18 (cept BRB) in a Fremont Target about 3 weeks ago.
  8. I must have just missed wave 19 at a TRU. All that was left was Thor and Ghost Rider. I'm sure an employee snatched them up. Which, honestly, I don't blame them. If I worked at a TRU, Target or Walmart I'd probably do the same. There are very few perks for working for big box retail so they're allowed a moment of satisfaction.
  9. Saw this at TRU. Poor Guile has a bad case of the ol' butt-crotch!
  10. Finally found the last remenants of wave 18 at a Target. Picked up the last Beta Ray Bill, Beast, and Kraven. Already had a spidey but I must have missed the motherload because there were at least 6-8 Spidey's on the pegs.
  11. Snagged a Wovlie/Hulk 2 Pack this morning. Finally found one with decent paint. Still no sign of wave 18 which I'm attributing to the 400 Psylocks, Storms and Gladiators clogging the pegs in my area. I'm tempted to just buy a ton to clear the pegs and just return/exchange them all when the new stuff hits the shelves.
  12. Last time I was at Sawgrass, the Marshall's there had a few Classic Sentinels. The Target and Walmart there are hit or miss.
  13. Saw the remenants of wave 18 at a Target. Just the Hulk left but after doing a side by side comparison I'm definately going to get the 2 Pack one. I like the darker green but not having eyebrows painted when they're clearly sculpted is really dumb.
  14. Does anyone know if the comic in the Wolvie/Hulk 2 pack is actually Hulk #181? Or have they tricked us again with a great cover and some crappy reprint inside?
  15. The new 2 Packs have made their way to S. Florida. Saw Wolvie/Hulk and IM/Mandarin at a Target. Was very tempted on the Wolvie/Hulk but I want to wait till the single carded one comes out. I kinda like the eyebrows.
  16. It's ridiculous how much you get for $8.99 compared to MU for $9.99. We can't even get stands for our Marvel guys yet the Turtles get a full arsenal.
  17. I grabbed the whole quartette. They are some of the best straight up action figures (especially from playmates) to date.
  18. Man, we're getting a whole lot of "hauls" and not a whole lot of "sightings".
  19. All the targets around me are flooded with Storms, Iron Fists and Psylocks. The Walmarts and TRU's have nothing. I'm worried about the new stuff coming.
  20. NoodleChow. Those are some of the best I've seen on these boards. Do you mind spilling how you made them?
  21. Is the Classic line in stores yet? I just grabbed all 4 on Amazon. It's a little over retail but no tax and free shipping so it works out. I have a feeling these will dissapear like the NECA line. The classics are also 6". Just a heads up. Oh I know. I love them actually. The NECA were the perfect representation of the comics and these look to be the perfect representation of the cartoon.

  24. 5! I'm hoping mine are as abundant as yours. I'd probably buy them all if i saw them and get rid of my silver ones. Yeah and that's after another member apparantly picked up 9! I thought for sure he would have cleaned them out. He saw 9 but only picked up 1. How many are left? I want 2 more, maybe i'll make the drive down tomorrow. Ah I thought he built an army. There were 4 left. 1 in the toy isle and 3 in the cattle shoot they put you in while waiting to check out.
