  1. That's a great shot of Psylocke on the motorcycle. I'll be right back.
  2. Thanks guys. It was a mixture of 2 Humbrol brand paints. It was mostly blue "130" I think with a few drops of flat black. Don't have the number for black here at the office. If you want specifics just PM me. I notice Humbrol paints set really fast, but you usually only need 1 coat.
  3. Same thing happened to me last weekend. That figure was supposed to show up a year ago, never saw it or anything else from that wave. Then all of the sudden, there it is. TRU for me also.
  4. I made myself a Nick Fury figure today. Recipe: Head: Jurassic Park with eyepatch sculpt Body: Cyclops Wave 13 Torso Holster: 30 AC Boba Fett Hip Holster: MU Winter Soldier Humbrol and Model Master Paints
  5. I need to see 17 Sentinels. Anyone reading the new Regenesis X-Men #20-23 arc will appreciate it.
  6. At TRU this morning I got Mandarin, Ultimate Iron Man, comic Whiplash and modern War Machine all with good cards. Shocked to find them at TRU, but this TRU has had good stuff lately like Sif and Star Wars. All the IM2 figures are for trade and I also have MOC Shockers if you can come up with something on my wants list.
  7. I wonder when the dentist of the manager of the 5th store is going to agree that Walmart should be massively stocked with MU.
  8. Thanks! For just the white stormies and the sandtroopers displayed on my shelves, probably 50 casts or so. I'm trying to cast the helmets in bright white so minimal painting will be involved.
  9. Here he is next to the Hasbro version. I like to think I have officially produced a better helmet than they have, but I understand I am kind of biased ;) And here he is with the best examples Hasbro has produced of the Snowtrooper, and Scout Trooper (Nik Sant version) Very excited to start fitting these onto my stormtroopers and get them painted!!! This helmet has been my most wanted item since Hasbro started reissuing figures in 1995.
  10. ^ That Deadpool is amazing work. Send me one immediately. I realize this isn't MU, but considering my last 15 customs have been, cut me some slack. I recently embarked on a mission to construct a 1:18 stormtrooper helmet for all of my 3 3/4" stormies. I have never liked Hasbro's versions of the helmet, although the bodies have been perfect in their most recent renditions. Big progress today. I am approaching completion in the next day or so, and then will begin the process of outfitting all of my stormtrooper figures with this new helmet. I am currently at 85% completion roughly. Here he is from the side angle, side, and front:
  11. Thanks to my wife's suggestion that we go to a particular Walmart, scored all 3 types of Electros out right now. Translucent arms, translucent arms and mask, and regular version. Sorry about the blurry pic. Big winnings.
  12. Got the Red Faction Armageddon 3 3/4" bugs at Target today. These are dead ringers for Annihilation Wave that purportedly took out Johnny Storm in FF 587. Pics forthcoming tonight in it's own thread.
  13. That Bishop a few posts above looks like Hasbro made it. Awesome. Here is my MU Sandman. I do want to make a giant sandy fist or something yet, but here he is in a relaxed state not exhibiting his powers. Here he is with a few of his Spidey-loathing friends:
  14. Thank you for the positive feedback gentlemen! First up today is Thunderbolts' Swordsman, Andreas Von Strucker. He is one of my favorite customs, next to Ghost. I did a lot of parts combination and a lot of sculpting. The head is Renegades Cobra Commander completey sculpted over, the arms and torso are MU Goblin heavily sculpted, and the legs are House of M Spiderman, also heavily sculpted. Here he is with the first Thunderbolts team that was directed by Norman Osborn, charged with bringing in unregistered superhero combatants. I still need to make Songbird, she's next. Here is Moonstone on the same team: If you haven't read Thunderbolts 110-121, you absolutely have to. It is some of the best Marvel stuff of the last decade easy.
  15. I was watching this auction and tried to steal it for $220. Now that would have been a deal. But for $330 this is the way it shakes out, which is basically going eBay rate individually. Ms. Marvel $30 Thor $20 FF $20 - all over my Walmart shelves right now Blade $70 Archangel $70 Strange $20 Fury $70 Havok $30 Speaking for myself, I don't see many bargains in there. But it's just money and it's only worth something if it gets you stuff you want. And if you really wanted that stuff, then happy day, it was worth it.
  16. New Avengers #18 has only been out for 10 days. I love me some Dark Avengers round 1, I just need to see how this story unfolds over the next few months before I decide if I would put the energy into customizing/sculpting these. If they were available by Hasbro, I would buy them no-brainer.
  17. Your Ares 6.0 is the best yet Fritz! Finished up a couple customs tonight: Luke Cage - Thunderbolts Director: The tech that Fixer gave him was sculpted on then the figure was painted. Age of Apocalypse Sunfire: Facemask sculpt is mine, on a FO Torch, then painted. In progress: Thunderbolts Swordsman and Moonstone. On deck, Songbird.
  18. Outstanding! Damn I like this as much or more than the Hasbro release. What is the recipe on this one?
  19. Totally agree, if you are a carded collector. I opened my Sub-Zero and Scorpion and straightened out the paint issue in 10 minutes flat, very very easy fix. Now the figures look great.
  20. Gee wiz SS Venom really hit in force last week!! Everyone found this suddenly after like 6 months of looking. It seems patience still works, occasionally.
  21. Just Sub-Zero and Scorpion single packs. I'm actually going to TRU now (because it is next to Starbucks!) I did read about someone finding the ninja pack at TRU already.
  22. Okay here is the official DresselRebel incarnation of Ares. It's MU Gladiator, and everything that is on this figure that was not on the MU Gladiator, I sculpted onto him inbetween patients Tuesday and Wednesday at work with dental filling material. I still want to add some leg holsters and a knife or something. The Osborn Patriot is also a custom of mine.
  23. Norman Osborn to Skrull: "Uh, would you mind changing into Spider-Man for just a moment?" aaaaaAAAGGHGHGHGHGHGHGHGHHH!!!! HA! Yeah that's the one. yeah?...was that so that the gargan venom could shapeshift into spiderman size...so that he could pose as spiderman in the (dark)Avengers? if we knew that the symbiote could use the abilities of those it ate...why havent we come up with a score of characters for it to eat? Warspectre - no it was a Skrull that Norman had in jail, that he fed to Gargan Venom so that Venom wasn't hungry when Norman went in the room to give him medicine that shrunk him down to human size. Kinda like when I feed my pet bunny in the morning. If you reach in her cage when she's hungry, she'll try to see how you taste. But if you occupy her teeth with a nugget of Kellogg's Cracklin' Oat Bran while you reach in to change her food bowl, then she's not interested in eating you. Norman Osborn taught me everything I know.
  24. I'm like 95% done with mine. Pics coming tonight or tomorrow. EDIT: My photographer wife says pics are coming in half an hour. I'm done painting, but have not added a couple details like leg holsters. He's basically a Marvel Universe Gladiator figure, and sculpt. Everythin that is on him that is not on Gladiator, I put there. Be right back with pics.
  25. Found 2 Stretch Strike Venoms hanging on the pegs at Target this morning.
