  1. Writers make the source material, and can alter characters as they see fit. If writers didn't go around developing or expanding on characters' powers, Superman would still be leaping high instead of flying.
  2. Yeah, I plan to pose this figure with the fisted hands. I feel Hasbro could've done us a solid and include pegholes in the blasters, but I think the space is too narrow so they kinda winged it.
  3. The Power and Glory Cap popped up in Canada through Toys "R" Us, maybe the same will happen to this one.
  4. That shield is not the one Iron Man used against Thanos. It's the one he materializes to block Cull Obsidian's attack before using the drone/blasters combo (happens right after he suits up for the first time), so its size is accurate (though in the movie it had blue accents as well). The cannons are the ones he uses with the drones, they form around his arm instead of taking up the entire gauntlet, so that's what they're smaller than you expected.
  5. Kudos for the all-MCU wave, and extra brownie points for making a film-accurate Iron Patriot so close after releasing the early-concept version. The Iron Man looks fantastic, but I'm disappointed that the Infinity Gauntlet he comes with can't be used on the figure itself.
  6. That MK 85 is very tempting even if it's not my preferred scale. I really hope Hasbro offers something similar.
  7. The skin tone is lighter than the figure as it looked in the promo shots, so the eye-socket wash and painted veins really pop out more than I would like them to.
  8. I feel slightly greedy and picky because I wish the Iron Man came with even more accesories... or at the very least that he traded the shield for something more iconic, like the full-arm hand cannon, the back thrusters or the energy blade. The Peter Parker head is a nice addition, though.
  9. 1 - Iron Man MK 85 (I think it's inevitable, but since it hasn't been announced, I'm not going to assume it exists until it does) 2 - Whiplash 3 - War Machine MK IV 4 - Iron Monger (I mean, he did get a figure in the Iron Man movie line, but I'm going to cheat and include him here since it wasn't strictly Marvel Legends and it was out of scale) 5 - Ultron Prime MK III
  10. Titanium Man or Crimson Dyanmo are no-brainers for an Iron Man (or Avengers if we stretch it a little bit) wave. The original Hulkbuster would also be a good choice (I'm specifically thinking of this suit because while Iron Man has plenty of heavy-hitting suits, not many are that well-known and the modern Hulkbuster already has a Marvel Select). Speaking of Hulkbusters, Hulkbuster 2.0 would be a fantastic BaF but I figure Hasbro missed the boat since it's not really relevant anymore, and should probably have been done in a third Infinity War wave (I'm just realizing that with all the 2-pack and late releases from Infinity War, Hasbro could've made a third Infinity War wave).
  11. Biggest difference is the bulkiness of the suit. The final version used in the movie is less form-fitting (and more realistic) and has repulsor nodes on the torso and legs. The upper thighs have different patterns.
  12. I prefer the color and headsculpt of this Hulk, the crushed pipe is a neat accessory, and I don't really want the 1st appearance Wolverine. The price stings but doesn't hurt too bad since it's a big figure. However, the exclusivity hurts, and I don't even want to think what will it be its aftermarket price.
  13. (Don't say again "This is what the BAF should've been like." Don't say again "This is what the BAF should've been like.") This is what the BAF should've been like. (Damn it, again)
  14. The Leader last popped up in this year's Hulkverines. I also figure he's bound to eventually appear in Immortal Hulk, since Al Ewing has been touching on and/or revamping a lot of Hulk supporting character and villains.
  15. It's a re-creation of X-Men #98. The guy on the left is Nightcrawler using an image inducer, the guy to his right is indeed Colossus. The guy with sunglasses in front of Storm is Matt Murdock. Next to Nick Fury is Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. Next to Banshee is Moira MacTaggert.
  16. (Don't say "This is what the BAF should've been like." Don't say "This is what the BAF should've been like.") This is what the BAF should've been like. (Damn it)
  17. Since I'm not an X-Men fan and vintage waves usually eventually go cheap, I was considering getting the Iceman and use the ice effect on the bare-bones Blizzard from the Hulkbuster wave. However, I initially thought that was an ice blast effect, not... a "slide" that actually looks more like just a stepped-in pile of snow.
  18. Not living in the US makes it hard to get Legends, especially exclusives, but I was lucky enough to score it on eBay for a decent aftermarket price, $25. Can't wait to get my hands on it.
  19. This figure looks amazing and I really want it, especially since the comic Rescue is a hard-to-get exclusive. However, I'm disappointed the figure doesn't come with the repulsor drones that were arguably the suit's trademark feature.
  20. I loved the Iron Patriot callback, but it was unnecessary, especially since it seemed like a last-minute change and all promotional art and merchandise used the black and grey color palette. And since this figure is not movie accurate because of that, I'm not as hyped as I wish I was. I'm really excited to see what will customizers do with this figure though.
  21. I'm disappointed the Iron Man figure is a straight-up repaint of the MK L from last year, but I can't really blame Hasbro too much for it since the MK LXXXV seemed like a (relatively) last-minute addition to the film. The paintjob is still good and the Rescue really makes up for it. I just wish they had at least retooled the figure to include the repulsor effect for Iron Man as well, instead of having that weird cannon reissued.
  22. Jesus, the lack of any paint detail on the webs makes it look... so... Happy Meal-y. Like a super-poseable basic figure.
