  1. I had a similar idea, not with power point, but Photoshop! I might suggest using foam core instead of cardboard, you will have much better control of the edges you cut? Visit google.com/images, there you can look up some architectual models made from foam core ( that's what industry created it for usage first)

    Not nitpicking, it's just that recycled cardboard tends to lose rigidity after a while, your layouts are awesome... I wouldn't want shoddy materials to wreck you dream project?

    Well... I'm not gonna use cardboard... everything will be made with wood and duffel

  2.

    The last ones:

    Of course when the diorama it's done will have: streetlights, lamp posts, whater tank, ads, and the most important... super heroes, super villains, citizens, police officers, thiefs, vehicles and more!

    I hope to finish it for when Hasbro relaunches Marvel Legends!

    Please, let me know any tips, questions, etc...

    Thanks for reading!

    P.S.: Thanks to x66!

  3. I've been planning this beauty since 2007, then I suspended this project, then I restarted it again, then suspended again, then I saw the impressive diorama x66 did and then... I restarted it again, to finish it once and for all.

    Thanks to those things happens in life, I'll be able to spend more money in this diorama. The separates designs are from "Ultimate Spider-Man", then I created each building wall with Power Point (yeah, Power Point)... Everything will be made with gigantoraphies pasted in wood, and one big gigantograph as a background with buildings (images below are not final/finished designs). For any measures, everything on the images below:

  4. Here sre some recent acquisitions to my Marvel City diorama.

    The fire Truck cost $8.00 at Value village

    P1100946.jpg

    P1100944.jpg

    P1100945.jpg

    It's close to scale but not quite.

    I've been wanting to buy that truck at Amazon.com, so: does it fits fine the scale? how tall is the firefighter figure (in cm, please)?

    Thank you, with this and the other things you told me you are helping me to complete my diorama!

    P.S.: The other Tonka vehicles are useful? like this one from http://www.amazon.com/Tonka-Lights-Sounds-...074&sr=1-82

    P.S.: one suggestion, to make the buildings of the city look like inhabited you can make an image of people and paste it in the wall behind the edifice, because it looks like there are buildings inside the buildings LOL

  6. I do collect movie figures and I'll get them online because they would never reach French toy stores.

    I know what's to not being able to get action figures easily. And Hasbro figures reaching Uruguayan stores? Only one store retails Hasbro figures, not the newest, and at U$S 40 approx... Thanks God for Amazon!

    I hope that some guy would resell these figs in Amazon...

  7. These figures are awesome, but the problem is Marvel Select, not the figures... The first Marvel Select action figures were of new characters, characters in modern version or character with no figure yet, like:

    * Ultimate Spider-Man

    * Black Widow II

    * Black Cat

    * Mephisto

    * Zombie Colonel America

    * Zombie Spider-Man

    * Zombie Hulk

    * Anti-Venom

    * Red Hulk

    But with some figures such as Colossus (classic), Cyclops (2nd costume), Gambit (classic), Hawkeye (classic) and Daredevil (classic) Diamont are making figures from characters with figures done. I have to admit that some of these figures are better that Marvel Legends version (Hawkeye), but there are characters that need figures, like:

    * Bleeding Edge Iron Man

    * Carnage (modern)

    * Rescue

    * Mr. Fantastic (FF)

    * Invisible Woman (FF)

    * The Thing (FF)

    * Spider-Man (FF)

    * Commander Roger

    * Iron Patriot

  8. Hasbro always is late for making action figures:

    1) They changed Marvel Universe's package from S.H.I.E.L.D. to H.A.M.M.E.R. in later 2009 when H.A.M.M.E.R. was in their final days

    2) They made the Iron Patriot action figure (3,75'') in June 2010, when Osborn was no longer Iron Patriot.

    3) According to Wikipedia, in July 2011 a Commander Rogers action figure (3,75'') will be released, the same month Steve will be Cap America again...

    And now...

    4) They are making a Commander Rogers action figure (6'') in 2012, this year in July Steve will be Cap America again...

    I want to see a Bleeding Edge Iron Man, a Luke Cage, the Wrecking Crew, Hood and more...
