I really would've preferred modern / Agent of Asgard Loki. This classic Loki is a bit dull on sculpt details and paint apps, especially compared to the Siege Loki figure.

I know the discussion was over, but I figured this image here provided a better comparison between the MKs III and IV. I just wanted to share it to get it off my mind.

Technically speaking, using a MCU War Machine in a comics display is not far-fetched since he has used his first two movie armors in the comics as well (I'm just joking, I hate when that happens and having an actual comic War Machine figure is ten times better). 90s War Machine did have a unibeam. You are right that the original version of the armor that Tony used didn't. But when Rhodey started using the suit, it got one.

On one hand, I'm excited because Rhodey getting attention is always awesome. On the other hand, I'm skeptical because of that original design. Why would Hasbro design their own armor? Oddly enough, Hasbro has already designed their own War Machine armor, but it was used for a dollar store 3-POA 6 inch figure. Why does it have the Iron Patriot star? It could be so that the mold can be used for War Machine and Iron Patriot figures, since most of Hasbro's comic-style low-cost Iron Patriot figures (both Titan Heroes and 6 inch) are just Iron Men with the star awkwardly painted in pretending the circular unibeam isn't there and completely dissonant. But why would Hasbro share the sketch of the design for an expendable mold? Eh, I figure I'm reading too much into it. I should just be glad we're getting news about Rhodey figures.

Oh, okay. I understand. Yeah, while comic Iron Man can get crazy armor variations, MCU Iron Man can't even get, for instance, a helmet desing too different from the base design used since 2008. While I'm not the biggest fan of the overall aesthetic of the movie Bleeding Edge Armor, at least it's distinctly different than the previous suits, and based on leaks, there could be a newer version that will get the type of gold details the Golden Avengers has been missing for a long time. For a moment it looked like Tony had poured all the gold plating he had in the MK 42 and was saving up in all MKs ever since. In the case of War Machine, I like it that with MK II they tried to differentiate it from Iron Man's armor, and Rhodey's suit now has its own base helmet design. The War Machines MK II and MK III looked like buff Iron Men for the most part, so I was really happy with the WM MK Iv and its more aircraft-oriented aesthetic.

I wouldn't say that's an accurate statement. Going back to Iron Man's roots, every suit he wore since he went red and gold up until the 90s (sans Silver Centurion) also had a pretty much fixed set of features with small tweaks here and there. The specialty suits followed a similar pattern. The space armors were like the regular suit, but more buff, and the stealth armor was like the regular suit, but all-black. The main suits he wore in the early 2000s until (and including) the Extremis Armor were also similar at first glance. If you're not used to nuances, it's pretty easy to mistake the Extremis Armor for the suit that came before it, or the one before that one. Ever since the movies, Iron Man has gone back to a circular unibeam (Bleeding Edge Armor), has had a black and gold armor (Model 42), a chrome-plated armor (the Endo-Sym Armor), and a distinctive knight-inspired helmet (the Model-Prime Armor). And all of these were main suits.

The War Machine that came with the Disco Iron Man 2-pack was MK III, which is the armor he used in Civil War. You can see the differences here (MK III on the left, MK IV on the right): The MK IV has an overall different aesthetic, more influenced by the design of stealth fighters, with faceted-angle plates and volumes with sharp curves. It's even got a subtle pixelated black-and-dark-grey camouflage paintjob. The MK IV is more packed on the shoulders, the unibeam's shape is like a squished upside-down pentagon instead of a long hexagon, the chestplate has more silver details than the MK III, and the suit has red details across the body. Additionally, the MK IV has its weapons retracted into a modular backpack.

Hero Vision is the basic 6 inch line for kids. It would be dumb not to make an Iron Man figure.

I'm posting here with a simple request, does anybody have at hand the packaging of the 2015 Red Onslaught wave Mockingbird / Sharon Carter figures? Aw, man, it's just a repaint of their modernized Classic Armor. It still looks good, but it's not really the Model 42.

Gunn did explain the purpose behind those tweets, expressing that his intention those years ago was to act as a provocateur. He additionally had already apologized for his raunchy attempts at humor. I don't think that joking about serious issues in such a way necessarily means that a person has a thing for them, especially if the purpose of those "jokes" is to cause a reaction. It's making a joke which is offensive for the sake of it being offensive, and not necessarily to insinuate some kind of depraved fetish. There have been many news of idiot tourists making the Nazi salute in Germany, which doesn't automatically entail they're Nazis. They're just idiots (at the very least, hopefully). I believe this is a similar case with James Gunn. His tweets are disgusting, and don't say anything nice about the person he was in 2010. However, Gunn himself and the people he has closely worked with for over five years expressed that he has changed and that he's no longer the kind of person those tweets reflect. I don't think any kind of conclusion from this incident should be made without taking those people into account. And I don't think it's appropriate to assume Dave Bautista is depraved solely based on his stance from this situation. He knows much more about James Gunn than the slim portion most people get to see. Gunn's situation has been mishandled for the most part by people online, and shows a toxic mentality. It tells people that it doesn't matter how much they have changed as a person, their lowest point will always define them. And just in case there's any doubt, I don't mean to defend James Gunn's tweets, or the type of "humor" we waved like a flag back then. I don't even want to pretend to know what course of action Disney should've taken. It's a slippery slope, but there should be some balance between painting him as a misunderstood saint and a depraved would-be child-molester.

I'm happy for any addition to Iron Man's rogues gallery, so I'm really grateful to see Living Laser. Hasbro has gotten a lot kinder when it comes to accessories ever since they released that Blizzard figure in 2013, so I'm hopeful the figure will include some effects.

Try to hold your opinion on your own, without having to resort to assuming what would prolific creators you don't even know at all think. Have you even read some of Stan Lee's soapbox columns? He was pretty "SJW" if you ask me. Don't assume either what I think. My problem here is that you decided to turn this thread about Steve Ditko passing away into an outdated "sjw marvel ugh" rant. Captain America is no longer black, Thor is not a woman, Hulk is not asian, Wolverine is not a girl, etc. You're two years late to the party to complain about it, not to mention this isn't even the place to do so.

Did you know Ditko personally? Because he was a person that used to keep to himself for the most part. He wouldn't give a crap about Marvel's direction, he was just an artist who wanted to create and move on.

Way to take this thread about the passing of a legend and make it about "muh comics."

I feel conflicted. All of the figures are great, but I feel like Hasbro should shift their focus a little bit. The Spider-Man waves could be pushed to the background in favor of families of other characters like Iron Man, Thor or even the Avengers as a catch-all alternative. I would also be happy if Hasbro tried harder to make figures of new characters or characters' new looks. The Black Panther wave makes me feel hopeful. The fact that Hasbro themselves highlighted that it's an all-movie wave hopefully indicates there'll be more like that, and characters like Klaue or T'Chaka getting figures could mean Marvel's movies will get a better treatment. I just want it to stop being like Infinity War, which missed figures for so many characters, or Ant-Man and the Wasp, which only got figures for the two main characters and not even the main villain. I still can't believe MCU Ultron got a figure in a wave that wasn't even for the movie he appeared in.

Mmhh... they already announced Omega Red (and even have it on display there, plus, his tentacles are rounder), Constrictor got a figure for RoML and he's not popular enough to guarantee a remake so soon. Please be Whiplash.

These reveals have me hopeful. Not that I'm particularly psyched for these figures in particular, but that they might be an indicator that Hasbro is starting to take movie-based Marvel Legends seriously, especially since they're willing to release a proper amount of figures for a movie that came out six months ago.

I'm glad to see Hasbro is willing to make Marvel Legends of relatively minor characters from a movie, like Klaw and even 4-minute flashback T'Chaka. Hopefully this means future movies will get this kind of attention, and maybe even past movies. I've been waiting for a 6-inch Whiplash since 2010. I just wish Hasbro actually made 6" series only focused on a given movie, without comic figures thrown in between solely to prevent them from being shelf warmers. We got Cobra and Songbird while we're still waiting for Ebony Maw and Corvus Glaive.

It seems Hasbro looked up the wrong Poison when they wrote that bio. It's describing the Poison from "What If? The Other," not the Poison(s) from Venomverse.

That Iron Man looks amazing. I wish Hasbro would go back and remake the earliest Iron Man suits in this style: in a proper scale, with blaster effects and even articulated flaps.

The biggest take-away for me was definetely the Model-Prime Armor finally getting a figure, with a pretty nice set of accessories (including a Tony Stark head, no less) I hope the shapeshifted arm cannon is a snap-on or something like that (also, taking into account the many forms the armor can take, that cannon looks a bit lazy, specially considering the blade the 3.75 version got... maybe it looks better from a different angle). I know a lot of people are going to be like "another Iron Man, really?" but there are chances this is going to be the first modern Iron Man action figure that comes out while Tony is still wearing said suit in the comics (if he does go back to it when he returns for Marvel Legacy, of course). Additionally, the last two Iron Man figures were underwhelming repaints, specially the Marvel NOW! armor. On a side note, I'm pretty happy to see Hasbro will keep pushing these low-cost kid-oriented 6 inch figures with the Black Panther ones. They're much more, um, I guess "sophisticated" is the word I'm looking for, than past kid-oriented figures, and can double as a good introduction to 6 inch figures in general. I only wish they went an extra mile and added knee joints. If you're willing to give them elbow joints, you should also give them knee joints.
