  1. With the previous two figures being from Age of Ultron, I feel like this one could have used the War Machine paintjob from that movie instead.

I mean, they most definitely will re-release this figure with those colors in due time, but with the Iron Man MK 43 being a repaint away from the Iron Man MK 42, I think it would have made more sense to release War Machine MK 2 close to the MK 43, and then Iron Patriot MK 1 close to Iron Man MK 42.

This is done because it's Miles anniversary, right? I remember something about it being his 10/20th years since he was brought into the Ultimate universe.

That being said these design are nice though.

Miles was created in 2011 so this year is his 10th anniversary, but these are coming out in 2022.

Maybe it's got to do with the Into the Spider-Verse sequel coming out in 2022? But since that movie is coming out in October, maybe there's no special reason behind it. Or maybe these were planned for this year's anniversary but their development was delayed? I think it's more likely that there's no big motive aside from Miles being popular.

  3. Watched the movie the other day. I went in with little expectations because I've never been sold on its existence but left pleasantly surprised. The cinematography is beautiful and I really appreciated the fact that it was more character-driven and slower paced. In some other movies, you can feel the character moving at a pace the plot demands, but this film allowed its scenes to breathe and its characters to shine in the smaller moments.

Speaking of characters, the cast was a lot of fun and it was pretty well-balanced. Although Ikaris and Sersi are clearly the leads, it doesn't feel like they're the only characters that matter. Even the smaller ones like Gilgamesh and Makkari didn't feel like they were just there. I also gotta mention how much fun Kingo and Druig were.

I found a few of the movie's narrative choices a bit jarring. Nothing movie-breaking or detracting, but still jarring. Not gonna go into detail because this forum has no way to tag spoilers, but one of them had to do with the role of Ikaris and the other with the role of Kro.

Overall, out of this year's films, I think Shang-Chi is still the best. Eternals is a very close second, and Black Widow gets an uninspired bronze.

I get that but how many hidden adventures can someone with multiple series over the years have. I love Symbiote Spider-Man though and I'll probably enjoy this series. I heard the theme music for it and it was eerie

Savage Spider-Man isn't an Untold Story-type of deal. It does takes place in "the present" since its predecessor, Non-Stop Spider-Man, featured elements from the current Spidey book.

This is kinda how Iron Man has been in the same continuous adventure in space for almost 10 issues, but he's also popping up on Earth in books like Avengers. Both books are released concurrently but don't take place in the exact window of time, it just means that Tony's adventures back on Earth chronologically take place later in time than his current solo adventure in space.

I thought they might give him a 4th waldoe, but he just had the 3 in the comic, so its all good.

I think it would have a smart move if they had made it with four waldoes, but they were also detachable. That way collectors could choose between Iron Spider or The Initiative's Scarlet Spider by just popping off one of the waldoes.

  6. I appreciate the new torso for the Iron Man figure, so that way the head isn't the only thing different from the Classic Armor. I mean, it's not the accurate design of the Proto-Classic Armor, but at least it's different.

I think the backdrop for the Iron Man figure is incredibly funny. It's like not even the Marvel Legends team has realized the base was meant to be one half of a satellite.

Yeah I fully see the tweaks/fixes , just find it a strange one to re-release, tons of MCU figs need fixes (we all know why), but I don't see Hasbro really going back and mulligan'ing much, I guess it is nice for those super Die hard MCU collectors, but it just seems like the tweaks on this figure are so minor you gotta be an eagle eye to notice them.

That's a fair take. Unfortunately Spider-Man being Spider-Man means this figure was too convenient to release to pass up.

still scratching my head on this one.

People missed this? was my thought, the first one was heating pegs up all over the town, not sure why they decided to re-do this one, it has a few minor tweaks but I could hardly imagine people screaming from the roof tops "we need that spider-man again", they also re-released this previously in the UK best of  wave for whatever year that was. I also think hey you wanted to make this figure "better" why don't you paint some weblines and stop making your MCU Spider-Men figures look like basic figures hasbro, why can't you paint weblines? seen you do it before.

Part of the reason for this release is that Spider-Man's on-screen suit has been tweaked, with most notably the belt area being different. I don't see this figure as a re-release as much as its own release meant reflect the changes in the movie. I mean, they still should have painted the weblines, but just throwing that thought out there.

Did that black widow deluxe ever get reused for another figure or other widow? I know War Machines has not been reused. This Cap is a reuse of the 80th so they cut some costs on that as well with only some minor new sculpting.

Deluxe Black Widow got reused as Melina Vostokoff. And while War Machine didn't get reused, the figure itself was a partial retool with the upper legs of the 80 Years Iron Man, the flight effects from Iron Man 2020 and the gunfire and smoke effects from the Deadly Origin Black Widow.
