  1. I'm hoping for the retro re-release to come with some snap-on weapons. And if not that, it would be neat for a MvC War Machine recolor in the deluxe line with both snap-on weapons and the proton cannon.
  2. I really wish they'd taken into account the suit's shtick and included some snap-on weapons. Nothing necessarily too fancy, just something that showed that extra-mile level of detail like the Invincible Iron Man coming with a nanotech cannon.
  3. Iron Monger and Crimson Dyna-- oh wait, for that one I bought all the pieces loose on eBay except for Spymaster. Iron Monger only then. Now that I think about it there's also the Spider-Man 3 Sandman. I normally don't count that wave as part of my Marvel Legends collecting since it's from my previous stage.
  4. That image of the MK 43 standing on top of the Hulkbuster with the opened cockpit is really selling the two figures to me. Wouldn't mind being well-off right about now.
  5. And just as I was thinking that Ewing's space age could use a third book... If there's one writer I trust with pulling off Venom's new status quo, it's Ewing. And it's neat to see Hitch along for the ride. I can't wait to see one of his splash pages consist of an alien world dictated by Ewing.
  6. I love how the "muh comics/shows/movies" people make it easy to see how seriously they want to be taken by how much they misspell "LGBTQ." Saves the trouble reading when you can instantly see where they stand by just that.
  7. Happy to see the two series of the new Marvel space age cross paths. Can't wait to see what comes out of it.
  8. Kid Loki being a statue makes it funny. Like Loki is just dragging along a dummy to remind himself of his most heinous crime.
  9. I understand if this is Loki's "default" look in the show. But if they wanted to provide collectors with a genuinely interesting presence in their shelfs, they should have gone for the President Loki look.
  10. I know it's not the fault of the Hasbro team, but if the official reveal of the Eternals wave is included, I hope they don't treat it like the main course considering it won't be much of a reveal.
  11. I think it would be lovely if they redid it some time down the line as a deluxe figure with a wide array of nanoweapon accessories. But whether it's a regular release or deluxe, it would be amazing to get a new pinless sculpt of it. I really don't know what happened with sculpt of the MK 50, the creases are too wide and deep and the proportions, particularly the shoulders, are wacky. I also never liked the helmet, with the whole deal of making the faceplate a separate piece gluded-on. It also doesn't help that the helmet, especially the temples, lack a lot of detail that should be there. Another detail that I hate about Hasbro's MK 50 is the palm guards. The sculpt of them continues from the hand to a few milimeters into the forearm, which is awkwardly broken up by the articulation of the hand. I don't understand why didn't they do the figure's hands like the MK 7, especially since the blasting hands in the MK 50 are not articulated.
  12. On a side note, I can't wait until Mafex does the MK 50 Iron Man. Their MK 85 looks very tempting, but the upcoming Marvel Legends re-release seems like it can hold its own, especially since it has unmasked heads and a snapping hand. But a Mafex Iron Man MK 50? That would surely blow the Hasbro MK 50 out of the water.
  13. The photos make the Figuarts seem to have a fighting chance because the head is a custom. This is the original Figuarts head: [shudders]
  14. Looks lovely. Too bad Kid Loki doesn't even have 5 points of articulation, though.
  15. Neat detail with the painted screw in the back. Though this picture makes me wish even more that the red was maroon instead.
  16. As far as I know, only the Thanos figure was meant to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Infinity Gauntet. The Infinity Saga assortment is just Hasbro cashing in on Marvel's newest marketing sub-brand, just like LEGO is also doing. I think it's a stretch to assume it's meant to be tied to the Infinity Gauntlet anniversary. I'm not expecting new Infinity Saga figures to be announced soon, but this sub-brand is specifically what gives Hasbro the chance to revisit past MCU movies without having to use an anniversary as an excuse. I'm not expecting Hasbro to release more figures next year, but I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that they might do that, especially if this first "wave" does well.
  17. I just realized that, with the blast effect being the same one used for Iron Man's hands, that means the smoke effect should also be able to be used on Iron Man figures. That'll make room for some interesting display options.
  18. Well... Iron Man kind of is the crown jewel and centerpiece of the MCU. That combined with his marketability makes him extra marketable.
  19. Technically speaking, all suits from the Iron Legion appeared in the movie. Some just had more screen time than others. It's a nice detail that you can actually pause a frame of the movie and recognize a suit from the Iron Legion catalogue. Still, the Midas Armor was definitely one not even I needed. I really wish Hasbro would invest on the higher-profile unique Iron Legion suits instead of defaulting to the lazy repaints. All in all, I don't think this line was a let down. Most of the releases have generated plenty of hype. Assuming the Hasbro team is smart enough to realize this shouldn't be a one-off, it makes sense that they wouldn't blow their load on the first "wave."
  20. Hot Toys did get to make a Whiplash figure, and they even re-released it last year. If it comes down to an issue with the likeness, I'm pretty sure Hasbro can go around that by making a masked Whiplash MK II, even if it's not the character's most iconic look, and problem solved.
  21. In the last few years, we've gotten figures for characters I would have never expected to see getting the Legends treatment, like the Collector, Luis or MJ. And after the announcement of Happy Hogan, I wouldn't rule out any villains or other important supporting characters. Out of the ones you mentioned, the only one I wouldn't hold my breath for getting a figure is Frigga. But even then, who knows. A Thor: The Dark World Loki/Frigga 2-pack is now something I can totally picture getting made. If Hasbro makes the Infinity Saga an ongoing line, they will need to milk it for all its worth.
  22. Oh man, that Iron Monger 2-pack looks amazing. I'm glad that Stane comes with a briefcase, since I've always wanted a 1/12 briefcase to pair with my team suit Tony Stark so it's like the briefcase where he held the Tesseract. Between Happy Hogan and Obadiah Stane, I'm really happy that my MCU Iron Man shelves are getting to have a wider variety of characters. I'm already excited thinking what Hasbro could do for a second Infinity Saga wave.
