  1. I'm just not feeling it. Looks like Hugh Hefner with a wig.

There's an idea though. If you could do celebrity likenesses like the Hef, you'd open yourself to a whole new market.

lol, sure; I'll take a Detective Adrian Monk action figure please. I'll have Batman and other super sleuths standing around watching Monk hold his hands in front of him scanning the room for clues. hmmmm...what else could you do with a Tony Shaloub head for an action figure though?..... oh yes, another SHIELD agent.lol

Shalhoub basically played himself in "MIB". so that would be an easy custom too. :)

Add a Stark Trek body and some paint and you've got a Galaxy Quest figure.

  2. These aren't Marvel customs, but they are mostly MU based. click on pics for more pics, and recipes

Fantastic work! And considering more than half of DC's 4 inch figures can't hold a candle to any of these, I'd say this proof Mattel needs to step up their game.

  3. This practice that brick and mortar stores have of not looking for product is pathetic. At the store I work at we pride ourselves on our customer service, we always offer to go look for product in our back room, or help customers find exactly what they're looking for. Grantited, it's food and it's easier to find certainly, but it takes probably the same amount of effort.

That's a nice haul man! I like that calendar, I'm going to have to go look that up!

It's given away free at comic stores every year.

  4. Soundwave- I do want to make a J. Jonah Jameson sometime I just haven't found the right head. I do plan on making an Uncle Ben figure to go along with May.

I'm assuming that's one of the Harry Potter characters as a base. Are they worth picking up at all? I recently got the NECA HP figs (harry, voldemort, ron, hermoine, and draco), but they didn't make Snape. I thought about getting the british ones, but wasn't sure if it's worth the trouble.

The UK Harry Potter figs ARE AWESOME. They have great articulation and are made very well. I make a lot of dios using civilian figures and they work great.

They can be pricey if you try to get them from the UK, so I actually always look at Hong Kong sellers on ebay. You can get them for 5 or 6 bucks a pop.

You think ou can ink me to a few of them? I'm having trouble finding them on eBay.

  5. Onxy, I am thinking about tackling a new project. I am thinking about attempting a GRAVITON sans AEMH...Here is the parts list, I am thinking about...if any of you have any better ideas let me know.

Body: Thinking maybe piledriver or something similar...

    Feet: Taskmasters white boots

    Cape: Moon knight

    Head: Blackbeard from POTC

    add some paint...

    What do you guys think?

    Sounds awesome!

  6. He still needs a few finishing touch-ups here and there, but Earth's Mightiest Butler, Edwin Jarvis, is more-or-less ready to report for duty in the Mansion...

    100_2012.jpg

Lol! With that Zartan head Jarvis looks like he's planning something sinister...

  7. I used an Xmen Origins Wolverine body.

Paint the wife beater black, paint the jeans brownish/black leather and use the leather coat from the Nick Fury figure in the Iron Man 3 Pk. I also used the boots from MU Punisher.

Which Wolverine figure? I've been searching for days but I don't know which one you're taking about.

  8. Do you want a crazy face or a neutral face?

I always thought this head would make a good movie Bullseye... but he expression is kind of beutral.

    BTR Gung Ho

I think I'd like to make one too, so I'm curious as to what you'll come up with.

I'd prefer more of a crazy or angry face for my Bullseye, but I'll keep that head in mind. Thanks for the help!

  9. Hey guys, I have plans int he back of my mind to do a Venom custom of the new Venom (Flash Thompson). I'm just curious, what would be a good base body for this.

While I'm at it, any good base bodies for a modern Doc Strange (I have a spare head).

I always thought the Cap movie Crossbones figure would make a good body for a Flash Thompson Venom.

  10. that's my goal too eventually. Bucky looks like a good choice once ya sand his buttons down and get rid of the collar. The gloves and boots work well for it too. I may even re-modify mine using a bucky now that ya mention it.

I'm not quite sure what to do with beast, I keep thinking I'm going to have to sculpt his hands and feet, which I think I could do the feet the hands would be a challenge. Wrecker almost makes a good choice

You know that the flap, and collar is just a removable piece of "cape plastic" molded as part of the belt right? I used him for my Robin figure's body, head, lower arms, and upper legs:

    before:

    001-97.jpg

    after:

    003-77.jpg

    005-54.jpg

Actually, where did you get that Batman head? Is it from the existing 1:18th scale TDK Batman, or is it a new mold?
