Also, if Marvel ever indulges us with Heralds of Galactus, we need a Haslabs Galactus figure. If a Sentinel can get to almost 22K, how much would a Galactus generate?!
-
Annihilation box... Annihilus Thanos in his lesser vestments (as at the end of Infinity Gauntlet) with Skreet mini-fig Super-Skrull (like the BAF but needs a better head sculpt) Ronan - a PROPER Ronan, that MCU one is a JOKE. And we DEFINITELY NEED an Aegis of All Sorrow and Tenebrous of the Dark Masterworks.
-
I'd go for a "Heralds of Galactus" box set: Surfer (already available; you know Hasbro is going to recycle figures) Terrax (all parts already available) Any 2 of Air-Walker/Firelord/Morg/Red Shift I don't think any of those would be too difficult Would be over-the-moon with a Fallen One or Stardust fig, but guessing it's a buck issue
-
Tbf, highly unlikely they make Volstagg a "normal" figure (if they ever do, and I hope they do). His buck is so...well, almost unusable after you make him There aren't THAT many fat guys in the MU. I would LOVE to see Surtur as a Marvel MasterWorks figure. But I figure he/it needs to be least 2x the size of his Asgardian foes.

Funny you mention the U-Foes, I came across this the other day (totally wasn't looking for it): THE INCREDIBLE HULK: IRONCLAD MARVEL LOOSE FIGURE ONLY 2008 MOVIE INCOMPLETE HTF | eBay Doesn't look like a legitimate Hasbro job, but you probably don't wanna make Ironclad look too athletic anyway!

Most Wanted Comic Figures?
CharrdWood replied to BradMan's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
Agree with @Rukkdeez about Classic Warlock and Classic Drax (Starlin), and also about Mephisto, which someone else also mentioned. Mephisto is absolutely at the top of my list. I'm convinced that if they did Mephisto in a classic Starlin way they could shift a lot of units. NB: Crediting Starlin as *author*, not necessarily artist. Perez and Lim were as important. -
Meet the new Herald of Doom in FANTASTIC FOUR #6
CharrdWood replied to JayC's topic in Marvelous News's General Area
I'll admit that I've been WAY out of the loop in the MU Comic Universe for a while now, but long ago we saw Doom try to usurp Galactus (Secret Wars), and that didn't end so well for Doom. I LOVE Doom, but to Galactus and Thanos he is never more than an irritant, easily dispatched.- 4 replies

Walgreens Super Skrull and Emma Frost
CharrdWood replied to Dabboi's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
Forget BAF and the gamble that entails for Hasbro. For a Super Skrull with all the different parts I'd gladly pay a 25-30% premium over the average single figure. It CAN'T be that hard! But that's only if it's done right. Gotta be on an appropriate body/torso sculpt. No doubt they've already got molds to do the rest. -

Thanos Imperative -
What do you guys think of the MCU Thanos design?
CharrdWood replied to Heisenberg's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
Oh, and Cable, I think you have to put Thanos Imperative in that list. Solid from beginning to end. Just finished Annihilation (yeah, yeah) but I found it often disjointed, although I did read it as a 3-part TPB so that probably wasn't the best way. Still, Thanos Imperative didn't require a bazillion crossovers to tell its story. -
What do you guys think of the MCU Thanos design?
CharrdWood replied to Heisenberg's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
Black Order look great...Thanos...not so much. That statue certainly isn't representative of his garb in Annihilation as far as I recall. -
how do you resist starting a new collection
CharrdWood replied to tellytubbygen's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
That's true now, but Legends is really doing a good job with figures. Distribution still sucks, but the figures are tight. It's really a weird transition...I checked this evening and EVERY MU-scale figure I want is in stock, yet I don't feel the compulsion to buy them. If they were in MU packaging?! Sh!t.... -
Marvel Legends Sightings and Hauls thread
CharrdWood replied to aaozz9's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
You, sir, are INSANE! I've finally gotten one at more-or-less-retail, but that is an unbelievable deal. -
Oh, snap, you're right! We DEFINITELY need more Wolverines, Cyclops's (sp???), Colossuses (Colossai?), et al. ...they're SO interesting! Oh, wait...no they're not interesting at all. Ruling stands: NO MORE X-MEN. BO-RING. Apocalypse and end it. The rest are a waste of time. One must be a complete spacker to value X-Men over the rest of the MU...

Is there a trading community here at all?
CharrdWood replied to Heisenberg's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
Trading has largely slowed down because there isn't s#it to trade imo! There was a lot of MU trading when figures were being consistently released (at least, based on Hasbro's definition of "consistent"). That said, I've tried a couple times to trade for ML but haven't had any takers. That said, Heisenberg, what would you take in trade for Carnage? ML or MU. And how much does ML retail for where you live? -
New to Marvel Legends
CharrdWood replied to ScarletSpiderID's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
tl;dr... BAFs...Sentinel, M.O.D.O.K., Iron Monger...Galactus if you didn't get the MU MasterWorks version (which is better)...Red Hulk...Annihilus...FFF...I think that about covers must-have BAFs...unless you're an X-Men kinda guy... -
Yeah, man, I looked everywhere. They even left a ladder out on the aisle right in front so you know I climbed that thing and surveyed the entire store! I stashed a Stryfe...my younger son was ambivalent about it... As for TRU employees...it would be nearly impossible for the TRU muckety-mucks to monitor the rank-and-file, unless the RaF are dumb enough to give them their eBay seller names. And that totally doesn't rule out them making verbal deals with whomever to funnel all the good stuff into small hands...
-
Just got back from a TRU Rego run...they had tons of Stryfe, Cyclops, and Wolverine, but not a single Storm or Magneto...and I was there within 5 minutes of opening. I'm starting to suspect that the good figures are being held back by employees or a scalper has made a deal with one of them. It's impossible for there to be at least 5 of each of those figures and not one Storm or Magneto within that window. I'm not too fussed...I just want Magneto, and I'm sure I'll get him at some point...even if I have to go to Times Square...blecchh...
-
Nah, man, I'm serious...this could be the WORST TRU in the Continental USofA. They SUCK. Or maybe I'm just cross that when I first moved here I passed on the Hulk/Valkyrie ML set when I saw it there the weekend I moved in. But I've very rarely gotten anything from there that can be considered...pfftt..easy to find....
-
Awesome post/review DS! I think I can save you a LOT of time, however...unless you also live in Rego Park you can skip the TRU in Rego Center. It's a friggin' wasteland. They almost NEVER update their stock. And when they do anything good is gone in 5 minutes. I can't even recall the last time I scored something good there...

Agent Venom Possible release?
CharrdWood replied to tarot's topic in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
For my fellow NYCers, do any of you know if this will be sold at Duane Reade as well? It's funny, I can throw a rock and hit a Duane Reade but Walgreen's are few and far between... -
