  3. I like the BAF more than the universe version. I think the BAF really captures the character better. Gotta disagree with that...the head sculpt on the Masterworks figure is better. The body is a wash. The BAF has hand articulation, but I'd still go with the Masterworks version. It also feels more solid. That said, $150 is steep, even if it is my most prized possession... I hate the MU head, it reminds me of an old Simpson's episode where homer wore a large cowboy hat with a camera inside of it to bust the Apu's bad business practices. To each his own, I guess. Funny-ass episode, but...no...not even remotely in that territory...the BAF head looks like what he'd use if he knew it was going to rain or be some other way inclement... In any event...

  5. Dragonkings is correct, there are a LOT of vendors selling figs, but I have a cautionary tale about that. A couple years back I went into this booth that had Arkham Asylum Bane for $35. Me, hating paying more than about 15% over retail for most any figure, decides to shop around, confident I could at least get that deal if not better somewhere else. I'm sure you can guess what happened. I went through every other vendor's booth but didn't even see another Bane, let alone beat the price at the first guy. So we're all exhausted (believe me, it's EXHAUSTING) but I figure I'll swing back around the first guy's booth and snag that Bane. I stupidly didn't note the name of the shop and by that point we were all largely disoriented (it's HUGE) and I never did find that guy again. Now that Bane goes for well over $100, which is much better than the $300 high-water mark it once reached, but still ridiculous. Eventually I got the Bane/Batman 2-pack so everything worked out in the long run. TL;DR: If you find something that you really want and it represents decent value even if slightly above what you really hoped to pay, nab it.
  6. PMs would be better for this sort of thing, but go ahead and look me up on the site with regard to trades/sells. If you're still comfortable afterwards we have a deal.
  7. I have had a Widow for trade for over a month, but no takers. Ideally I'd like to swap her for a Carnage, but I'll consider any proposals (like, say, Nova). PM me if interested. I don't have a ton of feedback, but everyone with whom I've traded/sold will vouch for me.
  8. Bulldozer. The rest is mostly fluff. I'm totally happy with Thanos by MS. The artic isn't great, but good enough to pose him. I'd also go with Tigershark, Radioactive Man, and A-Bomb, though I wouldn't mind a new Surfer. And, of course, if they could come out with a GOOD Hulk I'd be over the moon. I just don't understand why it's so hard for talented sculptors to come up with a good Hulk head/face sculpt.
  9. My local TRU, after being abominable in putting out MU when they were current, has been putting out loads of W2x (not sure what else to call it!). I can walk in there almost any day of the week and pick up A-Bomb, Abomination, Cloak, Dagger, Rhino, or Nova. They're not all of the same wave...I'm not even sure what to make of it...
  10. Does anyone else think it's a bit strange that even HTS.com hasn't listed a single figure from W2? This line is even worse than MU.
  11. The most amazing thing is the Hasblow "apologists" defended this change by saying it would HELP distribution...my arse...
  12. This brings up a good question...has ANYONE seen Avengers Infinite figs at retail? I haven't. At a Kroger near Cincinnati, OH. They had everyone but Wasp. How 'bout at non-regional big-box retailers? And how did the Hulk headsculpt look in hand?
  13. Just saw the most insane thing...Amazon.com has "Avengers Infinite Beta-Ray Bill" listed for almost $50...same figure is available on HTS.com as MU BRB for $10!
  14. This brings up a good question...has ANYONE seen Avengers Infinite figs at retail? I haven't.
  15. Saw 2x Toxin, 2x Boomerang, Spider-Girl, and usual peg-warmers at TRU Rego Center.
  16. What about the GotG Gamora and BAF Groot? I think it's an awesome set and will do my best to snag one from HTS.com.
  17. Kinda surprised they came out with 5 new figures for a Thanos Imperative-themed boxset instead of my suggestion above. Not complaining, mind you, but I really hope those figures finally see the light of day at some point.
  18. I've been a little (lot) out of the loop, but has anyone seen Avengers Infinite figures at retail? I haven't even seen those that should be peg-warmers...
  19. Hey, everyone, it's been quite a while since I've been on here (for a variety of reasons), but I managed to snag a MLI Black Widow at my local TRU the other day and I'm looking to trade it for a MLI Carnage. If anyone is interested, please PM me. The figure is MISB, but the box is bent on the top right corner.
  20. They've already got a ready-made MOE set with Zemo, Tiger Shark, and Radioactive Man. They'd have a lot of latitude in adding a 4th character to the set. Hell, they could even include Bulldozer. Makes a ton of sense.
  21. I can not stand HTS. They always seem to screw things up for me. So then today I get another HTS order in that's supposed to be Red Skull and Zemo, instead it's Red Skull and AIM Soldier. So,with the first mess up I was down 2 AIM troops, and with the second mess up the deficit is reduced to just 1. It is the third messed up order in 1 month from HTS. I wrote them an email to tell them every time I open one of their packages it's another surprise. Same thing happened to me! Although I'm actually kinda happy about it...I figured I had missed out on the A.I.M. Soldier and probably wouldn't get one, but when I opened my package from HTS.com there he was...instead of Zemo. Still really want a Zemo, although now he (and A.I.M. Soldier and Hydra Soldier) has/have been removed from HTS.com. Hopefully HTS.com is pulling their collective heads out of their collective butts and will get things straight on the website.
  22. Thanks to all for posting. I bit the bullet once Zemo came back in stock on HTS.com and picked up Skull, Zemo, and Spider-Man. Saw Spidey in a Target today and I think I'm gonna be happy with him. But tarot is right...both the Cap and Spidey lines are awesome. Now if I could only manage to snag a Hydra Soldier, A.I.M. Soldier, Carnage, and Black Cat at retail...yeah, I know I'm dreaming...
  23. I do not currently own a Legends scale Spider-Man figure, but would love to. I'd have jumped all over the new Marvel Legends Infinite figure but he seems spastically disjointed. Does anyone own him and can recommend him? Cheers.
  24. Damn....Surtur is an awesome idea....I need my nerd-badge revoked I haven't read comics in years & since my collection is somebody else's now I haven't been able to read up on anything......nothing upstairs but Cobwebs & memories of reading comics at one time.....I forgot alllll about Surtur..... Man, I want a Masterworks-scale Surtur figure so bad! Others had some great ideas (Infinity Eternity...d'oh/Celestials), but I'd be over the moon with a Surtur.
  25. Stan Lee?! Seriously?! Horrible idea. May as well make BAFs of the damn interns at Marvel. tarot is surely correct about the larger scale figures being off the table, but setting that aside...SURTUR.
