  1. Quick Review On Pegs: 2 Apocolypse 2 Wolverine (1st) 2 Gladiator 1 Cable 1 Cyclops also... 1 Spider-woman 1 WWHulk - Like I said, passed on Gladiator cuz his face looked awful on both figures. Plus I'm just not to thrilled about trying to fit him into the mix without any other Shi'ar. Grade: C - Cyclops looks awesome...looks very good/realistic...as if Jim Lee sclupted it himself. Too bad there's like 7 Cyclops variants out there. Grade: B - Wasn't too thrilled with how 1st appearance Wolverine turned out. Both figures looked kind of sloppy with not only their paint, but the head sculpt too. But I still picked it up cuz of my soft spot for Hulk 181...I do like how they made him look like a runt though. Grade: C - Cable looks great...great gear, sclupt, and paint. His head looks a little jacked up to fit him in the package, but I think it'll be ok when it's opened and adjusted. Only bad thing is that baby Hope looks like a cartoon character. Grade: A - Apocolypse is AMAZING. He's hands down the best of the wave. They had 2 there an I got the one with the better paint in the eyes...very vibriant. But he really looks awesome. Grade: A+ All in all, I'd give this wave a B. And I'm seriously considering returning the Cyclops and Wolverine...unless someone's interested :)
  2. Wave 13 officially in the Chicago-land area!! I picked up Apoc, Wolv, Cable, and Cyc...passed on Gladiator (the paint on his face was all blotchy). I figured they were going to be available, with TRU's 2 for $11 deal, you knew they were trying to liquidate inventory to make room...
  3. yeah...there were a few modular iron men. suprisingly a bunch of Iron Spiders. And in regards to the Team X Wolverine, I just don't understand who gets to give the "go-ahead" to characters. You pick a Wolverine that has no other appeal but in a team situation, but there are no other Team X members available...ugh!
  4. Just left a random TRU to see if anything good was left for the 2 for $11 deal...hoping they were possibly doing some late night restocking...and the pegs were filled to the brim...37 Ironmen, 11 Spidermen, and 1 team x wolverine (yeah I counted).
  5. yeah...I've checked like every WM/TRU/Target in the north suburban chicago area and no sign of the new wave or new comic backs. I've seen a few Foster/Robo-Thors though. Someone with some webdesign experience should create a map where people can report in what they find (or leave) at particular stores. Like if I spotted the new wave in my area, I can report it and we can track where it's being released... ...I'm getting tired of coming home empty handed every day this week!!
  6. Hahaha...I've noticed that there are a lot of employee/collectors out there so I always make a point to check over, under, around every shady spot I can think of...like 10% of the time I find something of interest. The trick is that if you don't want something, don't move it or they'll know that their stash spots been compromised...makes it easier to find in the future.
  7. hey cobra, got your PM... I think my post was kinda misleading. I don't have a Frost/Loki, but I've noticed at a bunch of people have been talking about army building them...so it seems like a few extra Loki's may be floating around. I'm not that interested in the Giant because I'm saving these for when my kids can play with them and I don't want the scare the crap out of them. I wouldn't mind splitting the cost or sending something of mine over straight up.
  8. It's so frustrating...I've been so pumped about the new wave, new comic packs, and battle packs out this week that I hit up literally 8 different Targets, 5 TRUs, and 4 WMs this week and nothing new at all except for a Foster/Chlor (which I passed on). But I guess the hunt wouldn't be as satisfying if it were easy...I think Hasbro gets a kickback from the oil industry with how much driving I've done over the past 4 days. Speaking of Army Building...If anyone's building Frost Giants, I'd be extremely grateful to trade for an extra Loki. I have more than enough extra AIM Soldiers, Skrull Soliders, or Multiple Men if you're building. Or if you're having a hard time finding something like Capt Marvel, Bullseye, or something...just let me know what you're looking for.
  9. So there's like 50 WM/Target/TRU's in the suburban chicago area and not one of them has anything new (or good old stuff for that matter)... And I'm beginning to resort to looking on bottom shelfs for employee's hidden stashes. Been successful in the past bogarting a sunfire, bullseye, and vision that way (passed on the hunchback jean). Is that wrong of me? It feels like a dick move... Anyways, I know its not anything special, but I picked up a Silver Centurian today. The newer Ironman 2 version looks real close to the comic. Harry: "I can't believe we drove around all day and there's not a single job in this town, there's nothing, nada, zip." Lloyd: "Yeah, unless you wanna work 40 hours a week."
  10. Hey guys...another new poster here. So thankful for this website. It saves me so much gas money by not just blindly going to every WM/Target/TRU in town (which I still regularly do). So pumped about the new wave, but I'm actually probably going to pass on everything except for Apoc and Cable...although when I see an original Wolverine in stores I probably won't be able to pass up. I already have few Cykes from all the other packs he's in and I really don't find a point to Gladiator without other characters like Lilandra or Deathbird. I'm trying to collect for my 2 year old and 6 month old, trying not to open them until they're old enough to play with them (and hopefully appreciate them). BTW...anyone get lucky with the comic 2 packs (wolv/samurai or deadpool/task)? I haven't heard much from anyone getting lucky since that one guy who created the thread...
