Aw dude! I'm so jealous! I've been wanting that Hawk for so long! So, went back to the maxi toys yesterday, not a whole lot of anything new, but they did put up ANOTHER Gambit from XMOW! anyone want me to pick him up for a trade?

So, I'm new to customizing, but I already really enjoy it. the trouble is, there's some things I haven't learned just yet. Lemme just tell you my problem. So, I'm working on a G I Joe flint custom, and I finished painting all the pieces to my liking. So now it comes time to spray it with sealant to keep all my hard work from rubbing off when I assemble the sucker. Thing is, I'm vactioning in europe, and had to leave my acrylic sealant at home, cuz ya cant bring a spray can on a plane. So I picked up a different brand here to use, from a games workshop since it was the only hobby shop I could find. The guy didnt speak a whole lot of english, but he assured me this was what I wanted. It's Citadel brand "Purity Seal." So I went on to spray most of my pieces with it. It dried an hour later, and it came out all gray and frosted!!! what the hell?!?! I went back to the guy and he just laughed at me and said no refunds, even though I was asking him for advice on how to fix it. He said to try hot water, then ignored me. Ass. so I tried soaking it in water, and its done nothing. Sorry, thats a really long explanation with little information. The point is, I sprayed my painted Joe pieces with Citadel brand "Purity Seal" as its called. They came out looking primer gray and frosted, and I cant seem to wash it off. What should I do? Did I over spray it and thats why it looks this way? Is this the wrong kind of sealant? Can I remove it? Should I just paint over it, if I can? Please help me out with some advice, I was totally psyched to be finishing my first custom, and now I'm totally bummed out. Any help is appreciated, thanks. -rolla

So i went back to the same maxi toys in luxembourg (where I am vacationing) and they restocked the shelves, and I was able to come up on an XMO Gambit!! pretty sweet figure and he rounds out my X men really well, so I had to get it. They also had some IM2 figures left, but I didn't bother looking, and also a bunch of mavericks, and some 6 inch Fantastic Four movie figures? I only collect 3.75 inch figures, so I dont really know whats up with them, but they also had another gambit left, so if anyone wants to trade, or wants me to grab it for em, hit me up, juding by their shelves I think they're gonna be there a while P.S. Oh! by the by there was also a Stretch Strike Venom in there, if anyone is interested

So, small come-up, but easily the best one ever! I'm vacationing with my girlfriend in europe right now, and on a whim I step into a Maxi toys by her house. They're backlogged pretty hard on action figures, so its all still Indy and Wolverine figures, and after rooting through the #$@# ton of mavericks they have, who do I find in the very back of the bottom peg? Deadpool!!!!! Holy sh!t, this is the figure I've wanted my whole life!! I nearly paid 30 bucks for this sucker on ebay once! and for only 5 euros!! I nearly screamed in the store when I found this. I might head back in a few days to see if any other treasures pop up, but honestly, if I don't find anything else the whole time I'm here, that's just fine. I'm SO happy to finally get a deadpool. Can't wait to get him home to start customizing him : )

Came up on a ghost rider at the disney store in downtown sf today. I plan on choppin him up for a few customs i got in the works. (get it? choppin him? cuz he rides a chopper? as in motorcycle? hee hee ha ha haa hehe hoooo......yeah......) On another note, the Disney store also had like 7 giant x men box sets, all of them variants!! I didnt pick it up since the only figure I want from it is Nightcrawler, and it;s waaaay out of my current price range. But still, a heads up for all bay area collectors who want the variant x-men box set, they should still be there

Yaaaay Areaaaa!!!!! Bay life mofos!!! We out here!!! So, no come ups today, but I only checked the tanforan, colma, and Daly City Targets. I cant hit up any TRU cuz I dont have a car, and Im pretty sure there arent any close to BART. Noodle Chow, Irishmofo, LapuLapu, ya'll wanna do a group hunt some day? I'll bring tha treeezz : D

pretty good come up today. Scored a Archange and a Punisher on sail for 6.99 a piece at the Target at the mall in Tanforan, which was majorly stocked on revision wave junk. Which was good because they had the same pegwarmers prior to today for weeks. One of the employees was still stocking the aisle and I asked if he knew when the new stuff came in, and they said they weren't scheduled to re do the whole aisle again for another two weeks. Hope that helps anyone in the SF Bay area.

-Shockwave: thanks dude, its great to finally post somethin!! it miiiight mean that they're out on the west coast, but Im not sure. Jefferey's is a family run local toy/comic store, so it could be they ordered they're figures from BBTS or somewhere like that, so it might still be a minute before we see em pop up at target or walmart or department stores like that. -Noooooodlechowowow: like I said, they're a mom n pop place, so everything there, cept there comics, are a little pricey. I paid 12 for em, but I get my paycheck in two days, so it was well worth it. When did you see em have a flame on variant?!?!?!?! Ive been wanting that for my FF so bad!!! Ive only seen em carry MU once (twice counting today) and they always sell out in like two days.

Ohhhh my god!!!! Ive been waiting to post this all day and I only got the chance just now!! Hi everyone, long time lurker, been on the board for a month, finally got an account because I HAD to tell this to someone who would dig this. So, I leave my girlfriends place this morning, Im taking the bus downtown, and before I catch the bart train, I think "#$## it, Im in no hurry to make my class, Ima swing be jefferey's and browse the comics" and I walk in, and low and behold!! They have the Apocalypse wave!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I snag their ONLY cyclops and apocalypse, both with perfect paint detail. No cable, but since im in their all the time, they said they'd call me up once they get one in. SOOOOO freakin dope, Ive been waiting so long for these and I literally just swung by there cuz they just opened and I wanted a comic to read with my coffee. Seriously, so freakin great. If anyone is living in San Francisco, bay area, they got one or two Gladiators still, plenty of 1st appearance wolvies, two spiderwomans, and a few other things from the last wave. They're like, the only place in SF that carries marvel universe, except the disney store thats also downtown. They look sooo cool!! I want to open em, but im afraid they'll lose their magic if I do. oh, also, Hi everyone! Im neeman, Ive been collecting MU since like, november last year, and Im an addict, big time. I also collect Joes since ROC, and Im lightweight tryin to get into customizing. Nice to meet you all : )
