  1. Got my Luke and the CIV Droids as well from a trade a few days ago.

Awesome figure, one of my favorite McQuarrie figures to date, can't wait for Vader.

It would've kicked ass if they would've named him Deak Starkiller instead of plain old Luke, but oh well, the names takes nothing away from the figure's awesomeness.

You know, in reference to your sig, I'm just happy to see someone pulling for Rampage over that loop-punching out of shape hack Liddell. Good times.

Sounds like some awesome figures! Legacy Two-Packs, Ewok w/ Wokling, Tsui Choi from Purge, all of it! Hasbro is driving me to the poor house and back between this year, and this new rumor list...

Pretty sure Hasbro reps have already basically confirmed they were going to put out Legacy figures at CIV...

either way, its something I'm dying to get my hands on. Great series warrants great figures.

  3. If you placed an order for the Concept Luke Skywalker with HasbroToyShop.com a few weeks ago, then you might have gotten an email canceling your order. If you read our previous report, then you'd know you had to call by June 9th to cancel your order. Well, it appears that a computer glitch has canceled ALL orders! What's going on? Your best bet is to call the customer service center at 1-800-408-0052 and make sure you get your McQuarrie fix.

Bwahaha, way to go hasbrotoyshop, way to go.

  4. Your most casual buyers (kids and new collectors) are going to be familiar with the heavy hitters of the films, not characters that appear in the background for 30 seconds, or don't appear in the films at all.

Or, you know, major FAN FAVORITE characters that lingered in comic and novel canon for over one - two years. But who cares about them @hmmm@

But you're right, little Timmy McYoungin would probably beg his mom to buy him Darth Vader over a Vilmarh Grahrk figure, although kids do tend to lean towards who looks cooler. To me? Red skinned devil-looking guy looks much cooler than some whiny bucket-wearing Sith Lord.

Either way, EU is a huge part of the mythos, and judging by everything Hasbro's been saying between Q&A and CIV, they're looking to cash in on that. Thankfully.

  5. Really? People are seriously bitching about lack of articulation? Honestly? Wow...

These aren't even high res photos and I can spot the swivel in Vos' waist, the ball joint in his right elbow -- and I doubt Hasbro would just leave one elbow ball-jointed--, and I can only assume he has a ball-jointed neck being that Grahrk appears to. The only things that are hard to spot are whether or not his knees are ball jointed, its hard to tell with the wraps if his wrists have swivel movement, and if his shoulders are swivel or ball.

These look great, and hopefully Hasbro keeps up with the EU figures.

Vos is an athletic guy, he should at least have knee articulation. From the angle we see him at it's hard to tell what his face even looks like, so we'll have to wait for better pics, but if they don't give him knee articulation it'd be a real shame. I don't mind when it comes to guys like Obi Wan because we got a whole bunch of figures of him and eventually they did give him super articulation. But this might be the only Vos figure we ever get, it wouldn't have been that hard to give him knees. Maybe they could have replaced the super articulated obi with the crappy version, people are only going to buy that pack for the clone anyway. Then they could have put more money into Vos. Oh well we'll see how he looks in stores.

Really, I only want Hasbro to continue the EU if they do them properly. Otherwise what's the point? I already have crappy EU figures from 1996, but this is 2007. The figures should look much better now.

I don't know, being obsessed with "SA" articulation, I've gotten to be pretty good at spotting POA in even low res pictures. Topped with the fact that Hasbro themselves said the comic pack would come "with awesome articulation," I'm not too worried about limited posing potential for Vos. The last few times Hasbro's bragged about articulation, we've gotten the SA clone troopers, Obi Wan, and some amazing Evolutions figures.

  7. after looking at the picture again, you can tell that the gloves are a different sculpt than the rots royal guards...

it makes me wonder, maybe they've went ahead and resculpted the arms entirely, possibly using a ball joint elbow instead of the swivel. if that's the case, then holy mother of god, i'll be buying these up like a maniac.

  8. meh, as already mentioned, lucas can't write dialogue beyond a junior high school level. this is why i've enjoyed the EU much more than any of the films. the comics and novels are well written, have great pace, and play out like the movies should have.

let him direct and/or produce, leave the writing to someone who actually has the talent.
