    #45 - Tarkin (Governor)

Ridiculous. Usually I refrain from publicly wishing bad things upon people, but I can only hope Brian's Christmas tree catches fire and burns every last piece of stock the jerk has. Then there's the fact that he's charging eighty-bones for a black clone pilot...I could honestly go to any of the three closest Meijers and snag several of those right now.

  2. I really don't understand what people have against this run, Joe Casey is by far one of my favorites writers. He may not be at the top of my list, but definitely in the top ten.

On issue five, I didn't have any complaints per usual. The art in the second half of the book wasn't really for me, but it seems that people dislike the overall art for AE in general which I've been digging. To each their own. Story was solid, I've enjoyed everything thus far. Hoping we get more of Duke rather than just two and a half pages next time.

  3. i got the walmart pack for $21 and some odd change after tax,

whereas media play was selling it for $27.99 before tax...

needless to say, i didn't mind the extra six bucks.

off topic, some goon a couple people ahead of me in line tried buying a cart-full of the three pack dvd figures. thankfully, the cashier outright lied to him about why he couldn't and how they wont allow layaway until after thanksgiving. usually i'm disgusted in walmart employees, and although this one wasn't anything above par, at least she had the sense to deny him his hording.

  4. So I've decided to start a little project, and after looking through several sites, a perfect piece of the puzzle was found.

    I need as many "clone chambers" that came with Taun We as I can get my hands on. For reference, here's a shot;

Anyone that could help me out, I'd definitely appreciate. I really don't have anything to trade, but I'd be more than happy to PayPal some cash right over.

  5. Yeah, Firefly is the Faceless Master.

I know a lot of people have beef with this book, saying the Marvel run had it covered and this is just a lack of creativity. Regardless, its still a good read. I definitely liked the little insurgency lead by Soto (I think that was the name), pretty sure that's leading up to the origin of the Red Ninja clan. Speculation of course, as I've never read the Marvel original. unsure.gif

  6. I have a question re: his gun arm. Does he remove the hand and then move the joint covering the gun down or does he just keep it on? Is there also any way to remove the knife from the gun?

his hand just folds down to reveal the gun, and no, the knife can't be removed from the gun either.

i'm not sure what exactly happened with your figure, but everything on my black vash is top quality. no loose joints, no amputations, perfect paint application, everything. maybe it could be a problem with the newly re-released figures, as mine are all from the original run.

how is your gazelle figure, anyhow? i ran across him at a collectible shop with a $50 price tag i wasn't willing to pay.

  7. early this morning before hitting up the gym (which means way too early to be awake) , i decided to run up to target. apparently i had perfect timing, as some workers were unpacking the mother load of star wars figures; i managed to have my choice between several 500th vaders, evolution three packs, and jedi vs sith packs. after spending about an hour between opening (yes, opening) them and deciding on how to display them, i finally made some progress.

anakins (ignore clone commander anakin's extra saber, and that's the only use i could get out of the crappy anankin-to-vader cape)

the target employee told me they'd have more out within a few hours, so i headed back and managed to snag a mustafar anakin, turbo tank driver, a second tank gunner, and another tarkin. passed up on bacara after being horribly disgusted in his quick draw attack and its terrible execution. once i get home from work, i may take some out-of-package shots of those too.

  8. Hopefully this Vader will have some poseability!

I wasn't too impressed with the RoTS version that I mailed off to a friend.

it looks as if vader has jointed elbows, which is definitely a plus.

the shoulder-cut looks like it should be ball jointed as well, i'm willing to put money on his arms being very well articulated...

now his hips and knees, that's a mystery.

but hey, when did vader ever pull out the street fighter two turbo spin kicks? as long as they aren't just straight pieces without any articulation, i'll be happy.

  9. i just scored a nice haul at the meijer on 13 and little mack, in roseville.

picked up some super articulated clone troopers, they had most of the new assortment sitting out there, and a good deal of clone commanders.

just a heads up, since you seem to be from around the area.

if you go looking, they aren't with the toys...

go looking by the entrance on the produce side, there's a decent sized display in the middle of the aisle.
