Marvel Legends X-Men Callisto Figure Revealed
Sidewinder replied to JayC's topic in Marvelous News's General Area
After thinking about it, I just put in an order. I’ll kick myself if I miss out on Wyngarde and Callisto. Not feeling great about the others, to be honest. The $20 price point was about my limit. I’m starting to rethink my X-Men, Spider-Man, and villains purchasing. As for boxed sets, I’ve always said I would love a (in this order) Marauders set, Starjammers set, Mutant Liberation Front set, and Acolyte set. And why has Hasbro not made a Team X set? Even with all of the new tooling it would take, that seems like a solid seller. -
Marvel Legends X-Men Callisto Figure Revealed
Sidewinder replied to JayC's topic in Marvelous News's General Area
Callisto, Jason Wyngarde, and Cyber for me. I never expected we would get any of these, to be honest. I’ll pass on Wolverine and Omega Red, especially if these are at the new price point. Hopefully they are at the lower retro price point. Someone mentioned a rerelease of Multiple Man. I’d like to see him in his green uniform without the jacket and made a Pulse Army Builder. He’s a great candidate for an army builder. -
Marvel Legends Infinity Saga Reveals For May 14

I never thought we would get a Chef action figure. 😀 Now I need a Dave Filoni action figure so him and this figure of Jon can stand on the shelf beside my Black Series Mandalorian. -
Hasbro Fan Fest Marvel Legends Panel
Sidewinder replied to JayC's topic in Marvelous News's General Area
I’m pretty excited about adding to the Winter Guard ranks. Red Guardian, one of the two Crimson Dynamos, plus Dark Star and Ursa Major, will make a nice team. Plus that Ursa Major is one new head away from getting us Spider-Man fans a Grizzly figure! edit - Also meant to say that I’m excited they are making my second favorite Domino uniform (the first being from Ian Christiansen’s work on the Cable solo series) -
This sounds a little bit like Robert Kirkman’s Marvel Team-up. That was an excellent book that died way before it should have.

I ordered Jean (much needed for Classic Xmen team to replace that terrible original Hasbro version) and Moria (even though I really wanted her classic jumpsuit, at least the lab coat helps). I didn’t get anyone else. I don’t collect designs past the Jim Lee era anymore. Not sure on M.O.D.O.K. yet. I like the Toy Biz version. While I was at it I had forgotten to order Phage, J Jonna Jameson, two more Moonstars, and an extra hand ninja. Uhg, had to order from multiple sites to get what I needed - BBTS (love buying from them), Entertainment Earth (their shipping rates are crazy), and even Megalopolis (who is probably the worst retailer ever).

This is great. Will look good putting the hurt on my Marvel Legends figures! If this does well, maybe we can get get a DS gear-shoulders Crimson Dynamo. -
Don’t forget a comic version of Aunt May, we really need her to finish out the main Spider-Man cast.

I’ve had pretty good luck with Amazon. They are slower on shipping out Marvel Legends I think, but I’m happy that I get them a little cheaper.

Fantastic work!

a Fantastic Four wave would be awesome. The Fantastic Four has such a rich library of characters that have never been released in Marvel Legends style (either Toybiz or Hasbro): Puppet Master Red Ghost Trapster Moleoids Psychoman Firelord Titania Mad Thinker Molecule Man Diablo

I am totally on board for the release of the Agents of Atlas in Marvel Legends form. In my opinion, it was the best book to come out of Marvel in the last twenty years. I think that Stiltmans legs would be too big around for M-11’s arms. I would use Machine Man’s arms instead. Im really happy about Arcade. Never thought we would get him. Stiltman has been on my want list for awhile. I’m still holding out hope for classic Ghost and purple suit Trapster. We also need some other Serpent Society members (Black Mamba, I’m looking at you), and to finish out the Reavers and start the Marauders.

I’m not sure how I feel about this. Compared to the Transformers Earthrise Scorponok, this doesnt feel like a good value. Scorponok is 23 inches tall, can become a robot, scorpion, and a base, plus includes a headmaster and a deluxe class sized headmaster. All at $160. Sentinel is 26 inches tall with lights, a tentacle, a 6 inch figure, and a swappable head. All for $350. I realize it’s not exactly a good comparison. Scorponok is mass produced with a larger buying base. The Sentinel is a specialty item with a presumably smaller buying base.

Unofficial Spider-Man Marvel Legends 2020 Poll

This is fun. I went with: armored spiderman aunt may Bagman Grizzly Japanese spiderman madam web Molten man rocker racer spot tarantula Besides Hyponohustler, there should probably be J Jonna Jameson, 1977 television Spider-Man, Ghost Spider (Earth 11734), Hornet, Prodigy, Dusk, Ricochet. I guess a classic Ghost, Titania, and purple Trapster are more Ironman and Fantastic Four villains . All three of those are on the top of my want list. -
Super excited about a lot of this. For me, the Spider-Man Retro wave is awesome. Classic Peter Parker! Gwen Stacy! Mary Jane! I’m even digging the Green Goblin. Maybe there’s hope to get J Jonna Jameson and Aunt May in the future! AIM soldiers were what I wanted for army builders that have already been released. I’m super excited for that i think the “new” army builder will be a Hellfire Club soldier. Basic body with a new head and a reused gun! It’s like printing money! I’m saving up just in case. My Xmen needs LOTS of these guys to fight if my army builder guess is true, maybe the SDCC exclusive is a Hellfire Club set. Or more likely, a boxer Amazon set (the Hellfire Club is probably in the same category as Alpha Flight. Tooling is the only real issue.

Classic Ghost is at the top of my list of villains at the moment. The other villain I want is The Trapster (this version https://www.writeups.org/wp-content/uploads/Trapster-Marvel-Comics-Fantastic-Four-Peter-Petruski-b.jpg) Red Ghost and Wizard are really needed. Classic Whiplash would be welcomed as would Titania, Black Racer, and Executioner.
