  1. My Walmart is so lame... They still have not gotten Wave 15.

They are still almost empty. All the Stretchy Venoms that I saw last time are GONE. :(.

I did however got one for myself (gotta put pic of that haul). Target here in Miami only have Darkhawks and Sub Mariners.

TRU got like 20 Mystique and like 15 2packs of Silver Samurai and patch.

Captain america isle got tons of figs in both TRU and Walmart.

There was 1 Avengers pack and 1 X force pack.

  2. oh, and kinda glad I missed all the fighting on my birthday.

remember guys.....some of the other people on here are really new to the hobby, the forums, and (believe it or not) even new to some of the "courtesies" that we often extend to each other. Let's see if we can gently bend them towards our more accomodating habits, but if not, don't get too upset about it.

The way I figure, people will either be kind, loving, and gentle with other people; or they will have a really $%!tty life wondering why other people are not nice to them. Sometimes it takes people a little while to realize that they are dealing with other humans and they should put themselves in the other person's place and see if they would like the "deal" that they are offering.

But frankly, I think Saywhat actually did mentally put himself in the other person's shoes and thought that he was being fair. He's not been at this as long as any of you so his assessment probably won't be the same as anyone else's.

Bottom line... does ANYONE think it's a good offer? If not, then no one is going to take it and he's going to realize that maybe his assessment wasn't that accurate (or he could be like some people and wonder why EVERYONE is stupid except him - but I don't think he's that type.lol) He'll actually learn from his experiences. He's shown that already with some of his posts. He's not totally unreasonable. He just has a less "learned" assessment than most anyone on here. What do you expect from a two week old collector?lol (or is it 3 now?)

lol almost 2 weeks I think haha. or 3 something like that.

I mean the reason why I flipped out is because I have few tolerance for people who I talk nice and they talk back being rude. I always believed that if someone is going to be the bad guy, it better be me. I mean if someone talks back rude, I got to answer even worst and if someone punch me I gotta hit them harder.

but that is off topic. the point is that I saw that item selling for a lot online and I didnt really see it for sale anywhere at retail price, because the retail price is the blue one (for now) and the variant is a lucky shot. before collecting this figures I also collected Anime stuff and other valuable collectibles. I never really been in to a collection that doesnt earn value, that does not have rare items and that company that makes them keep re-releasing the figs. So because of my previous experience, I came with that type of collector mentality to this new community, but instead of tolerant messages, I was faced with a rude insulting message and thus my reaction.

Still I am open to MU knowledge and as you see I lowered what I was asking for because people who been on this line for much longer than me has taken the time to actually point certain things out that are constructive, such as how MU works.

  3. I'm looking for regular blue fantastic four pack, scarlet spider and ms marvel -short hair.

if you have those 3 we can trade for FF future foundation. :hulk:

I'll pass. $37 for a $20 set is hardly worth it, and you'll be hard-pressed to find someone willing to go to that extreme.

That depends. it is expensive everywhere. And you are comparing it to the original, you are not taking in consideration that when you buy the set, you might not get the variant, thus making the variant a completely different thing than buying the regular version for $20.

Toywiz have it for even more and i think it is sold out. CMD also for $40 with shipping. other stores are sold out.

I think that we are talking here on a rare item. you cant really buy it per se on a store. you have to buy the original with hopes that you get the variant.

I have looked everywhere and cant find it less than $30 before shipping, that is why I am asking for those 2 figs which are still available at stores and the FF blue pack which if you compare it price with the variant price (not leaving it at luck but rather buying it specifically) it is more expensive than the regular blue version.

I'm sure that in a couple months the future foundation will get more rare.

no, the future foundation will be a running change. It is coming in all of the cases with the Guardians of the Galaxy. It is not a variant.

It is not rare. You got two of them from HTS and you paid 20 bucks for them.. and you are trying to get 36 dollars worth of figures back for it. I mean that is your right, but don't try to make it sound like it's a good deal.

judging by the prices i see of it online, to me sounds like a good deal. I mean if it becomes available for sale in the stores then perfect. but untill i see that, I think my trade is good because of the prices the set goes everywhere. to be honest i havent seen it under $35 online and i am not talking about ebay.

if it becomes available in stores like i mentioned before, then i shall simply sell it for retail price, no big deal.

  4. @ saywhat but those figures ( light blue johnny storm and thing ) you mentioned werent hard to find figures they pegwarmed for months when retail got em.

I see. I only want them to be able to have almost the complete collection.

So far the only variants that I am not interested are the Iron patriot, Archangel and diff color spidermans.

The Iron mans, blah... I have their IM2 versions.. so. yeah.

any tips to open the card so I can put them back on it like they were never opened? ( i havent open any but i do want to open a few and then be able to put them back in their storage card.)

  5. Yup with this line just gotta practice patience , they will eventually pop up in retail , just look at the hard to find figs of the first year ,flame on human torch, short haired ms marvel, bullseye they came available thru revisions.

Sadly it doesnt happen with all of them. Like the regular light blue outfit Thing and Human torch have not been released again. at least not with those colors. :(

  6. Nothings rare anymore with this line, the HTF single carded figures are now available retail with the revision cases , the highly sought after lizard and scorpion from the spidey line now is popping on retail, the last wave of IM2 are now found on retail as well, I'd say "rare" for now but it will eventually be available in retail.

I hope what you say is true, so I can buy Vision (solid) for retail price lol

Totally understandable, but don't rely on eBay (which is inherently about profit) or ToyWiz (which scalps anything and everything they believe to be rare) to try and determine fair market value. Both places will gouge prices because they want to drive up the price. People on these boards are far less likely to do that because, for the most part, we are all collectors and trying to help each other out. Online communities will do that for one another, while online stores are all about the bottom line, and that's why I avoid the online stores whenever possible.

I'm sure that in a couple months the future foundation will get more rare.
I highly doubt this given that Future Foundation Spider-Man is an upcoming figure. It would make little sense to produce that figure if it were made to be part of a "rare" set. There's also the fact that the Future Foundation costumes are the current look, and Hasbro has done a fairly good job of giving those types of figures a sizeable run.

hmm perhaps if what you say is true, I would then settle for the FF blue pack + Ms. Marvel (short hair) in exchange for my FF future foundation.

  8. I'd wait a while on the white variant. The reason it's not being found in stores is the reason the Guardians set isn't: They haven't put it out yet. The first wave was always the X-Force and Avengers sets.

Pretty soon eBay will be flooded with them.

Perhaps, but if you cant even find the regular run FF blue, i doubt the white will be as available.

by the way. new haul part II

I am hoping to stop buying stuff by next week LOL. Just had to hunt down enough to be almost up to date on MU, even thought I also been getting IM2,CA,SM, etc.

My wall officially ran out of space lol, only have like 3 spots left for Ms.Marvel (short hair). Dr Strange Variant (should be here Sat) and Vision (wayyy too $$ for me)

  9. I thought the white FF set was more of a running change then a straight up varient?Kinda like how the clear dr strange was everywhere at first and then once the norm came out they dissappeared.

Perhaps, but the point is that you cant buy the FF future foundation for retail price, you can only buy the regular one. Either running change or varient, the item in my opinion is still rare and much less available than its counterpart.

  11. Today's Haul Part I (got to wait for the mail in 2 hrs)

    sany0288y.jpg

Sadly Hasbro thought I would be happier with 2 freaking variants of FF4 LOL

So yeah, 1 is for sale or trade.

I wrote them and they said that they ran out of variants and they wanted to get them out the door, that he apologizes that I received two of the same and that I can send one and get the blue one LOL wth

You are acquiring these at a ridiculously quick pace. How much have you spent so far?

No idea. but LESS than $2,000

I bought 60 for $490 shipped, so that kinda gave me a bump in the start.

  13. just received my futrue foundation FF set today! it looks pretty awesome! now if I could onlyfind the regular blue uniform version ..... anyone seen those in the wild?

I have an extra set of the Fantastic Four in blue, as well as X-Force and Classic Avengers. I'll gladly let go for cost plus shipping.

hehe FML I mean I buy two blue sets @ hasbro toy ship.... I get 1 package with variant and now I get another variant... this sucks.

I already have the X force and classic avangers.

  14. So Say What...what is your collecting theory?

Collect anything that's 3.75 / 1/18th scale? Seems like both Comic version and movie adaptation figures. Just curious.

You really like them gimmick ones too.

    Today's haul

    sany0277q.jpg

Technically I m trying to collect the entire MU series except for Variants that are blah.

Then since the other paralel lines are also part of Marvel, I try to collect only the ones that I like from those series. I do not collect any other action figure outside Marvel and this scale. :)
