  1. Awesome! Time to force my WM's to restock. ;) Hilarious and sad at the same time. I'm lucky my TRUs are full of poor customer service instead...
  2. Anyone need the 6" Avengers Hulk? They're popping up like weeds now. I've also got a few TRU Exclusive 2-Packs still, mostly spideys. They'll go back this week if no one wants them.
  3. I believe Forbidden Planet in London got Wave 19 last week. The turtles would be WAY more awesome if they were the size of the originals. I don't need a 6" set. :/ I asked Dwight Stall about these at SDCC, he said if I provided him a list of the figures that never made it to production, he'd look into putting them in future revision waves. So maybe?
  4. But where is Wave 19 coming from within the US? BBTS Preorders haven't shipped yet, HTS didn't stock it yet. Seems like Wave 19 was imported to the US and people in the US are selling their extras...
  5. Wow, that's awesome! Are you in Canada, or the US? Some people ordered it from other countries, who are getting it first. Same with Wave 21. Great tip, thanks!
  6. BOTH of my TRUs had a case in the back room and were willing to pull them for me. BOTH of them had this lousy excuse for a case. Even worse? BOTH had 4-6 figures on the pegs and left their extra case in the back!!! ARGH. The Wolverine is nicer too. The blue on him is lighter and more comic-accurate.
  7. I bet the 4 they have are the two spidey packs and the two x-men vs avengers packs... Good luck with the TJ's though, I'm in desperate need of a King Loki, so if you run across one in your travels, you have a buyer here.
  8. Of the 7 recently released, (right? I'm confused now), I was only able to find 2 today. That's not too great. Plus, my Walmarts have bumped their 2-Pack price from $14.96 to $18.88. Sad.
  9. My TRUs only got the She-Hulk and Magneto packs, no Doom, no Rhino. Anyone want to trade 2 for 2?
  10. Nope, no one on any of the boards have seen it yet. Just barely north. So Cal on the border. I think there's enough variation in the pack to warrant the duplication. If the X-Factor Beast comes out later, you'd be sad you didn't have this too.
  11. I hate that so much. I try to believe that at least the item has entered the clearance cycle, and eventually they'll be marked down further, but my Walmart has the same comic packs marked at $14.96 for three months now. Ironically, other Walmarts prices went up, making this a 'lower' price now! But seriously, thanks for the information. Preferential terminology is always good to know. Gotta at least make an effort not to offend friends. :)
  12. Nice to meet you fineart! Welcome! I can't wait for clear sue to hit mass retail, I want to see it on the shelf! Two ToyArk collectors (Symbiote and Greenskaar) found the FF Spidey/Doom and Rhino/Spidey comic packs at TRU in San Diego during lunch: They're TRU exclusives, so there's a new thing to hunt. Surprising they came out so close to SDCC...
  13. Wow, that's my favorite price! That's the price they all should be. I'd buy them to exchange for the new packs later. I really hope those TRU stickers are an after-market addition. Both of my TRUs are PACKED with the XMO 2-packs. They'd never restock! She looks okay, but somehow I was expecting better... The lines were terrible this year. Preview Night was the absolute most packed day of all of them. We were in line to get into the floor for 4 hours just to make sure we got in as early as possible, and we were only maybe 200 people behind the front. As soon as they let us in, we sprint-walked to the Hasbro booth, and the line was already full and capped!!! Luckily I was able to find one dude who only wanted a Pony. I swapped spots with him and paid for his. Cost me $20, but I didn't want to wait in line on Thursday morning again for another 4-6 hours. I stood in line the entire preview night, so in order to complete my Hasbro Toy purchase, I was in line for a total of 7 hours. That's more than the 6 hours I was in line last year! The stinky thing is getting old at this point too. We decided that AXE should sponsor the con and pump that junk in through the vents. Either that or there should be a Deoderant/Cologne booth. Thanks! Very helpful! That would get very expensive pretty quickly... Dammit. Time to hit the Walmarts. Headswap?
  14. Yea, I think that'll work fine. Worth a try anyway. Worst they can say is no. Do people need those SW sets? I wasn't looking for them or anything, but my TJ Maxx had a LOT of SW stuff.
  15. Surely she has more than one picture ID? I think you could go into a Bank and they'll give you one for checking accounts these days... And I'm sure if she can provide the pertinent info at the con, she can get them to release her badge. She can't be the first or only person to not have a picture ID. Credit Card number, online name, date of purchase, there's tons of info bits they can verify with...
  16. I think they'll be a mix at this point. Which sucks for blind ordering like this.
  17. how the heck did that happen!?!?! I haven't heard of them being clearanced anywhere else.. and usually things only go on clearance for like 5 bucks at first Yup, I watched one Walmart in my area go from $5 to $3 to $1. They were pretty much sold out before they hit $1' but I found one under the isle, lol. I'd return some there, but the customer service peeps know my trick, so they don't let me anymore... Snap! TJ Maxxes will be hit hard on July 5th! Where'd you get yours from? Preorder?
  18. Pretty sure it was about $65. I believe 'Standard' turn-around time was required for Silver-Age books (though that was a year ago now...) http://www.cgccomics.com/services/services_and_fees.asp Here's the page about the Signature Series: http://www.cgccomics.com/grading/SignatureSeries.asp
  19. Holy cow, that's a steal. I have a Walmart who sells Avengers for $1, but they don't get new cases in. That was an awesomely lucky fluke! You should try returning other avengers there that you've bought at full price elsewhere. They'll usually give you full price back, and put them right back on the shelves!
  20. I can't tell if you're joking or not... For those of you who were interested the 'exclusive' Spidey figure they gave out at Regal Cinemas midnight showings was nothing more than a select Spidey, my brother won me one:
