They just put out a new case of comic 2-packs at the Wal-Mart in Westminster, CA. They had two of the Daredevil/Bullseye, two of the Thanos/Adam Warlock, and one of the Mr. Sinister/Gambit.
All those figures looked pretty nice, but I left them all there.

I love that Mysterio custom!
Here are some of the ones I just finished:
Clawful
He-Man
Superman
Iron Klaw
Cobra CLAWS Commander
Okay, last two were GI Joe customs, but I like to mix different lines together.
I ran out of the sculpting stuff at the time, so I didn't do a second claw hand for Clawful. Thanks to OPP for selling the He-Man and Superman heads. (How about Darkseid? Pretty please?)

By the way, has any of the casting sites made a Darkseid head yet? I want to use MU Apocalypse as a base for a custom now that I have my "ideal" Apocalypse.

Not really Dark Seid, but Onyx has this head...

Hey, that Terrax head might work, thanks.
Dresselrebel, I love that Moonstone custom!

Dormmammu
Apocalypse
Dormmammu was inspired by another custom I saw in this thread. Doomsday's head comes from OPP and Tri-Klops' head come from Slayers. I tried to make Apocalypse look like his first comic book appearance, before he got "M. Bisonized" (going from tall and lanky to squat and beefy).

was that my dormmamu that inspired u whats your recipe
Yes, I think it was your custom that inspired mine.
Recipe:
- Head: Invaders Human Torch
- Body, arms, and legs: Skrull (repainted)
- Skirt: from temple defender Snake Eyes and some felt

I love this idea! I was thinking of getting a MOTUC Faceless One to repaint as Dormammu, but I like this idea better.

Thanks for the websites and suggestions, BBJ.

I was looking at photos of MOTUC Faceless One the other day and I got to thinking that he could make for a decent Dormmammu until an official one gets made. All you would need is some paint and some flame accessories for his head and hands.
Paint I can do, but flame effects I have no idea how to make on my own. Just wondering if there are any websites out there that specializes in Marvel Legends accessories (besides guns and swords) and maybe custom cast heads for 6-inch scale. (I know there's lots of places that specialize in 4-inch scale.)
Thanks!

Onyx, if you take requests, would you please consider making heads of the following?
- GI Joe Sigma 6 Cobra Commander
- He-Man
- Zarathos
- Superman (younger DCnU version)
- Sentinel (a good way to use up all those extra Iron Man bodies and make mini Sentinels like in the old X-men arcade game!)

Work in progress:
I was thinking of changing the purple tubes to red. Anyone have any suggestions what I should paint the blue parts to in order to complement black and red? Thanks in advance.
I painted the Red Skull head with the inverted black and white color scheme on the eyes as someone on the board suggested, which looks quite nice.
I just started working on a DCnU Superman, but used up the custom head to make Cyborg Superman instead.

Venom, Wasp, and Apocalypse:
Lt. Stone from GI Joe Sigma 6:
Cyborg Superman:
All the custom heads are from OPP, except for Lt. Stone and the robot part of Cyborg Superman, which are from Hunter customs. Apocalypse has the OPP thigh mods (which totally make the figure look better).
Rogue was my first attempt at painting a female head, which made me realize I totally suck at painting eyes and lips. Black Widow was my second attempt, which turned out better in my opinion. (Heh, I didn't realize the head was supposed to be for She-Hulk, but oh well.) I have a custom Mary Jane head from OPP, but I think I'll just stay from painting any more female heads for a while.
Baron Zemo and Lt. Stone are LBCs using the Red Fang ninja and Bucky bodies.
Cyborg Superman is my favorite, even though you can tell I couldn't quite fit the human and robot parts of the head together. :)

Juggernaut with removable helmet and leg extensions from OPP to make him taller.
A couple of comparison shots with cyclops and colossus to show Juggernaut's new height.

Wow, those leg extensions really make a big difference. I was on the fence before, but I may have to order a set from OPP later.

Pharma.....on your Red Skull try black sockets and white irises....the essential reverse of what you have done. you'll probably like it better. I had to experiment to discover that!
It looks more sinister.
That's an interesting idea. I think I will try it, thanks. By the way, your Rogue custom is really awesome!

I just got into (simple) customizing. Here are some finished ones with heads from Onyx Phoenix Productions:
Hulk
Thor
Superman (if he were to exist in the Marvel Universe)
Battle Armor Skeletor
Movie Skeletor
I have pretty much zero customizing and painting ability, but I stumbled onto Onyx's site by accident one day, and the heads were so cool!
By the way, anybody have tips on how to paint eyes? I am working on a couple of female heads and am having some trouble. Thanks!

I like a lot of these choices. Here are what I want to see happen:
Starlord and Mantis (Annihilation Conquest)
Drax and Phylla (Annihilation Conquest)
Abyss and Rogue (Age of Apocalypse)
Stryfe and Cable
Doom 2009 and Ghost Rider 2009
Zarathos and Centurious (Ghost Rider)
Silver Surfer and Tyrant
Bastion and Nimrod
Apocalypse and Archangel (I want a skinny Apocalypse that's 6-7 inches tall)

Those repaints looks okay, although I don't care too much for the stealth one.
Too bad they are not going to make a Cylon Base Star any time soon, according to one of the recent "ask Hasbro SW questions" session.
I hope they continue making more SW titanium ships. There are a couple more different kinds of TIE fighter ships and star destroyers I would like to see made. I would also like the see a couple of EU ships, like the Devastator or the Super Star Destroyer from the Dark Empire comic.

If you're in Southern California, you might as well stop by the Frank and Sons collectibles show that runs twice a week. Well, it's not really close to C4 (probably just a little closer to C4 than the Anaheim shops mentioned), but it's worth driving to, since they have all sorts of stuff.

I usually go on a Wednesday afternoon, but they're open Saturdays also.

I like your reviews, Whitewolf. I don't see the problem if you get the first case of figures, since more cases will come out in the future and you are not hoarding multiples of each figure to sell on Ebay.
It's nice to get a "first look" of what is about to come out. Your reviews help me determine if I want to get a specific figure or not. I agree that if your reviews came out later, when most people got the figures, then your reviews won't be as effective.
That's pretty crazy that people complained to your store about your reviews. Toy collecting should just be a fun hobby. I don't see why people should get so stressed or upset if they haven't gotten a certain figure yet. There's always Ebay if you really, really want something. Or better yet, just be patient and wait a while longer. Ever since I started collecting Star Wars figures with the episode II figures, I've seen every figure at least once (not counting the 30th anniversary figures), although I've had to wait a couple months to find some of the rarer ones.

Favorite version ML Thor?
in Marvel Legends Figure Discussion
Posted
I would go with the ML Modern Thor as my current favorite version. Runner-up would be the Thor from the Giant-Man series.
