  1. And for a completely different help topic.....

I am finally getting the last piece of my Pitt BAF and I'm wanting to make a Surtur out of him. I think a tail from one of the "How to Train your Dragon" figures might work for his tail; however, I have absolutely no idea what to use for his head. I need an appropriate Surtur head that will work on something as large as Pitt. Any suggestions?

And my sculpting experience is minimal, so making my own is not very likely and pretty much at the bottom of my list of choices so far.

Are you removing that Pitt head completely? I'll take it if you don't want it!

  2. Nice Super-Patriot! Any plans for Right and Left-Winger?

Ha, yes! The oil tank charred version! Just kidding.

Thanks for all of the comments everyone! I am working on a Crossbones custom. The Ron Lim styled Crossbones. It'll be a while before he's done.

  3. don't we all, brother. don't we all.

Anyone near one of those "Ollies" or whatever the store is called want to hook up some fellow boardies with King Loki, King Laufey, and if it's available a Heimdall too? We don't have those stores where I am, so if someone can find one of those cheap Thor waves for cost plus shipping I'd be immensely happy with you. ;o)

If my area Ollie's can be used as an assortment guide, Ollie's stores probably are not getting in the harder to find figures but what do I know?!

  4. Hi all! I thought I'd share a few photos of my Marvel's Super-Patriot custom I recently finished.

  5. Did any one else pick up the larger (6-6.5") Avenger movie Hulk with the squeezy leg and roaring mouth action? It has zero leg articulation but it's in perfect scale with the 3.75" figures. It's also a MUCH better sculpt.

The classic Hulk is only 8 feet tall in the Marvel Universe. Obviously he is taller (and gets taller) in the movies and in modern comic portrayals. Unfortunately, good old things tend to change!

  6. My local Wally worlds/Targets/TRU have had the same crap on the shelves for weeks now! When the heck do these stores start to fully restock with new merchandise? I'm tired of wasting gas driving around & seeing the same s^%$ on the pegs day in day out! I know that if I resort to ordering online, the very next day the pegs will be full of new stuff!

Like others have said here, the lack of product after the holidays happens every year. Some retailers do inventory and aisle resets so it wouldn't make sense to receive a deluge of product during that time. If you really want to save time & gas then resume your hunt in early March.

  7. Came home empty handed again. My Target and TRU suck ass. Neither have restocked since mid November.....and i keep missing the online stock.

Except for a few lucky stores and toy lines, stores don't generally start really restocking after Christmas until at least the end of January or at some point in February. Hell, you may not start to see stuff for some lines until March, especially non-Star Wars Hasbro items due to the 3-D Menace push!

  8. Guardian - I love the metallic red paint but once again the wash is kinda terrible.

When Guardian was first released some could be found with a soft airbrush-like gray spray-op. Soon the solid gray samples started showing up and now the wash looks even more annoying. Glad I bought an earlier one.

I also like the original head sculpt they were going to use for Guardian, better. Check-out his cardback!
