  1. I also agree. MS making avergae sized characters is just a waste of time for me. I don't care who the sculpt is, I will just pass it by. Nothing wrong with them trying to cash in on the popularity of a character like Wolverine or Deadpool but please show some balance. Give us Terrax one month, Odin the next, then a Deadpool, followed by Gladiator, Blastaar, then a Wolverine, Armadillo, Warstar, Spiderman, Orka, Juggernaut, Daredevil, check it out, I just planned what last year should have been like for them. Give us some money maker every other month or so and stuff we wanna buy to fill in our collections. This product usually doesn't sell at mass market retailers so they need our buying power even more then normal ML do. Make what we want and we can support your company.
  2. Chalk this one up as worthless to me. I agree with Solid, make bigger scaled toys like Terrax, Orka, Armadillo, Rhino, Bi-Beast, etc to fit with current ML's and you have a winner. Why don't people just man up and buy ML Series 6 Deadpool anyways? If you say it is too expensive, then you obviously don't use ebay very well. I have bought 2 for my little bro's, in perfect shape for under $25 each in the last year alone. The new Hasbro one will be craptacular anyways, why think it is going to be some awesome thing to look forward to? Are you guys really that excited over this one and the hasbro one? NONE will be better then the ML6 one. We already know that these 7" scale of normal sized figures (Spiderman, Daredevil, Wolverine) are never done well either. Why waste our time over them?
  3. ML3 Thor. While the WM one looks great for sculpt/articulation, when he placed next to Ares & Hercules, the ML 3 version looks so much better. The 2 from MS can kiss my behind. Ultimate is just lame and the new version, meh, give me classic any day.
  4. MU clogs the pegs in most of the stores I go to here in Cali. And we aren't talking just 3 pegs, we are talking 9 pegs of this junk.
  5. What you should REALLY be scared of is what Hasbro took from the poll. What do I mean exactly? Well how about the fact that all the suckers out there voted to have re-dos made of already existing characters. Yep, after all the whining about them making and remaking figures and not getting new characters, the suckers in marvel legends collecting land all voted to have 2 of 3 figures remade. Good game guys, good freaking game to those of you who voted for those clowns instead of dishing out the cash to buy the old ones. All that did was give Hasbro the ammo to keep re-issuing and re-designing already existing characters for your consumption. Seriously I don't want to hear people complain when those 2 packs all come out with some kind of Wolverine variation in each of them. I will just point my finger and say "HA HA!" to quote a glorious Simpson's character.
  6. Sweetest Box Set EVER- Heralds of Galactus: Air Walker Firelord Terrax Frankie Raye Nova Morg if you have to add a Silver Surfer in stead of Morg, fine. I would be cool with it on so many levels. Otherwise feel free to pack him in also, if we really need another one. BUt get this damn thing made and let's buy it!
  7. http://www.poeghostal.com/2009/03/stand-in...igures-are.html Here Poe does a review, pro n con, of ALL the various stands available for your figures. Choose accordingly. If you decide you do want to get involved with these whippy astion stands (google whippy astion stand), their is a HUGE post for an order of 150 of them on another forum/website by a guy named Wadsworth. If that original order goes smooth then he will be doing a second order and you may be able to get in on some them. Also many people have been petitioning BBTS to carry these on their website so we don't have to order them from Hong Kong and wait so long for them. If the order flakes for wadsworth, he will be offering them to poeple on a first come first serve basis. We are not allowed to post the other website so you can PM me for it or guess since it is a pretty BIG toy forum.
  8. I havent seen anything for the feet except a system that works off of magnets. The absolute BEST flight stands I have seen so far are these: http://www.poeghostal.com/2008/06/whippy-superpose.html These run about $3.50 each and I plan on ordering a bundle of them shortly. These things are so cool they don't even require a hole drilled into the back of the figure like old Toybiz figures used to have in them!
  9. Anyone buy the new Walmart Gigantic Battles set yet? I saw it today at 3 different Walmarts. I have NOT yet seen the Goliath in Blue & Yellow though.
  10. HML 2 packs on a whole are better then DCUC now. You seriously made that statement? Please just stop and think abut that. Here let me help you out....Hasbro ML 2 packs are currently peg warming many aisles at Toys R Us. I don't think they are coming close to ANYTHING DC is putting out right now. The DCUC 2 packs have been, and will continue to be the HOTTEST & HARDEST to find products out there. Ask fans how many Batgirl, Lightray, and Abin Sur 2 packs were out there sitting on shelves. Also DCUC just put out a Walmart 5 pack. Does Hasbro have one of those? Didn't think so. You walk into any store Target, Walmart, Toysrus and look closely at the display of product. Here is what you will find: Pegs of MU sitting there 5-10 deep in 4 rows cause no one is buying this product. LOTS of Ironman product. 3 of the Skrull 2 packs, 3 of the Shield 2 packs, maybe 1 of the ironman packs. For DC you will see a 5 pack at Walmart along with left overs from Wave 6 since Walmart can't figure out how to order product, 2 different 2 packs at Toysrus, Product from wave 8 thru 10 on the shelves at Target. Were you also even aware that DCUC is realeasing a new wave of toys every 2.5 months? They are hitting wave 11 shortly and this line is barely a year old! It took Toybiz 4 years before they made it to wave 8 and Hasbro 3 before they eve made it to wave 3! DCUC is and is going to be a better product and seller than Marvel ever was because Mateel knows how to treat that property. Hasbro is to involved in trying to reuse and market any hot movie property. I don't blame them and their "machine" but let's be honest with the fact they don't have a clue how to manage Marvel Toys. Like you said, pretty much all of the Nemesis wave proves Hasbro doesn't give a crap about what we want or the quality of it or they would have tried harder to make it better. Thanks for the words of encouragement Shokker
  11. Oh i know what DCUC is all about, shoddy QC, impossible to find figures, high prices, articulation on par/below that of even Hasbro MLs and I LIKE DCUC. Please don't ever use excuses like prices of DC cuz ML Foom series was way outta line to start with and as far as availability goes, Hasbro has given us terrible product or did you already forget Nemesis wave? Hasbro can't paint or shade anything and their articulation is so shoddy you should be ashamed of even mentioning DCUC in the same category. Need another refresher? How bout Target series Black Spiderman. What kind of spidey can't freaking move his hands to shoot webs? Overall I would have to say DCUC has taken all of the stumbling blocks of Hasbro and perfected on their ideas from Toybiz concepts. The only complaint I have with them is I would prefer more hand variations. DCUC and Hasbro are in 2 different leagues, hasbro happens to be in the minors waiting to be called up to play.
  12. Oh, I see it alright. As a matter of fact I'm all about the DCUC right now. The 4 awesome waves, with C&C's, we've seen this year alone only depresses me more about the demise of ML. I'm a huge fan of Mattel's practice of using basically 4 or 5 molds (very good molds), vinyl parts and definitive paint jobs to create as many fan friendly waves as possible. For a company that, during the early stages of DCUC, insisted on having at least 1 Supes or Bats in every wave, they've certainly come around to the understanding that fans drive the industry. If a company like Mattel can make that change after decades of a Barbie-type marketing strategy, a diverse company like Hasbro should be able to do it as well. They already do it with MU, but will never translate it over to ML because focus at this point is to make maximum profits using as little material as possible. That's what it comes down to because they certainly have the capacity, but as long as they stay profittable doing what they are doing, they'll never have the motivation. not even that. most DC collectors buy any figures that are DC related with no problem.(a,b,c,or d listers) when hasbro ventured out and started making anyother figures besides a&b listers...they warmed pegs. plus, marvel has more of a child following, than adult.(thats why sooo many marvel products have gimmicks, action features, etc...) DC is more of an adult following(outside of bats/supes) it wasnt until hasbro started starving collectors of MLs, that sells picked up. if youve noticed, the little bit of product being released sells better that flooding the pegs with stuff that stores cant give away. the 1st wave of 2packs went from 20.00 to 5.00. brood, blob, foom, rulk, and ares waves all seen the clearence isle. the way hasbro's playing it is a far better business move on their part. If DCU was more of an adult line, you wouldn't find it in your more common toy aisles. It would be online just like the Masters of the Universe Figures are. I see McFarlane with his sports stuff in Toysrus but it just warms pegs and that is stuff for adults. The DCUC stuff hadn't been warming pegs even now with some exceptions of series 6 in some markets. With that being said, DCUC gives you better selection, listens to fans which Hasbro still has yet to do with the exception of one previous bad poll and the current ridiculous one. If Hasbro really wants to bring this line up, which they don't because sculpts, painting, and figure choices prove that, then they should hold an open poll with FILL IN spots for the top 3-5 characters fans would want. Then compile the data and produce figures based upon the top 5-20 characters from the polls. Chances are you would see figures again like Deadpoll but reality is you would also get figures like Classic Ultron, Gladiator, Enchantress, etc just to name a few. Also why not release the results of HOW MANY actually voted for the AoA crappy Sunfire. I am curious just to find out how many people actually wanted this item. It would give a decent idea of how many people are in the market for new ML figures. Until Hasbro wakes up, which is never I will stick to customizing to get what I want.
  13. Will you be offering any of those to fellow collectors, saving them, or straight to ebay? Also were there any left of the other figures? I still need the whole set of Nemesis and at those prices, I would pay $5 for each figure thus making you double your expense.
  14. Apparently you haven't seen or noticed what DC Universe is doing with 6" figures. Even some of the more obscure DC characters have made it into plastic form and have done well. It just goes to show what a little marketing, solid buy in from retailers, and the ever popular, LISTENING TO YOUR DAMN FAN BASE can do for a figure line. Lets face it, Marvel Legends isn't dead, Hasbro is just trying to kill it. To bad they are full of a bunch of idiots that just don't seem to "get it". Why couldn't Marvel have looked past competitive differences to get their product handled right by Mattel is beyond me. Any questions?
  15. I am also looking for it. However seeing as how you are new to the boards, I am skeptical as to your true intentions as of this time. If you would like to do a trade, and ship 1st, it would go a long way in establishing your credibility here.
  16. Although that MS Thor looks to be correct in height, I do not like the costume, thus for me I would not own him. I prefer the "Classic" looks for most comic book characters, cyclops being the one major exception.
  17. Which is the best Punisher? Toybiz series 4 Which is the best Wolverine? Definately this one, which most of you DON'T have except me http://gofigureactionfigures.com/product2801.html#2801 Which is the best Iron Man? I prefer ML 1, however I dont have the 2 pk yet for comparison Which is the best Hulk? Many like the FO Hulk, angry version which I do enjoy. However the sexiest one is the MS one. When you see him next to your toys you will see why! http://www.amazon.com/Marvel-Select-Incred...e/dp/B0029KXT9S Which is the best Dare Devil? FO since I don thave the enmesis version to compare Which is the best Thing? This one http://comicfigs.net/FantasticFour/ Which is the best Human Torch? Same for the torch http://comicfigs.net/FantasticFour/ Which is the best Thor I like ML3 since he fits better with Hercules, Ares, and my massive Hulk. WM version looks more 1st appearance for my taste. http://comicfigs.net/charPage.php?C=Thor&S=ML03&V=0 I can send you pictures of my collection if you want size shots of that Hulk with the rest!
  18. They still have them at both Walmarts near me. Course, that's probably some drive for ya. ;) LOL, it would also be helpful if I knew, in fact where you lived since it isn't listed under your user profile.
  19. So is anyone picking these up for those of us who have had zero luck in finding them? I wouldn't mond paying some clearance prices plus shipping to get a hold of any of these figures since we have found none in Calif.
  20. Yeah dude you could totally use the tentacles from a sentinel or Omega Red! Hasbro will certainly make this sometime. B/c it truley would be so easy for them. I like to use the clear ties that came packaged with Toybiz ML. Most of them are too short and thin, but I've seen some that are longer and thicker, and easier to bend. I think the tentacles would look better, obvioisly, but if they are too fat they won't wrap completely around a figure. i looked into it and i found something. how about the lash from neca's predator? it is long and thin. great for it. it is way more expensive do. Most people have been using the tentacles from the McFarlane Creech figure. he isn't to expensive if you shop well and his tentacles have a nice flat taper effect. Looks great on a Bullseye or Guardian.
  21. WOW those results are lame. Color me not impressed, 2 re-makes of figures already available REGARDLESS of if their sculpts were good or bad. This was a chance for people to vote for something new & exciting and instead people chose remakes? Everyone & their mom makes a freakin custom Deadpool nowadays. Well here goes sacrificing chickens and wishing on stars to hope some of the other figures make it into the 2 pks. Besides we already know that Hasbro screws up every single female figure they do anyways. Oh, lol you forgot about that part when you voted didn't you?
  22. I bet they got the year wrong. They probably meant to give us the results next year and maybe produce the figures the year or 2 after that...for MU of course.
  23. It is just typical greedy business at it's best. Check it out, if you make a 6" or bigger figure that Wally world is going to sell for $11 with $4 profit or a 4" figure at $9 with $6 profit, which one do you try to market? The problem with this line is they got bitter ML fans to buy into the greatness, over pay for a small crappy product, and hang the rest of us out to dry. I have to agree with LegendsCollector, if you want certain figures, make them yourself or buy a custom of them! Seems like the only alternative to me instead of waiting for them is that. What do you guys think?
  24. Why not put Crimson Dynamo & Titanium Man up for vote and put them in a 2 pack? Who the hell wouldn't vote/buy that one?
  25. I was at my local Wally world on Wednesday and nothing. Today I go in and they were put out & cleaned out only the Ares junk left. So I went to 2 more in the LBC, both cleaned out. Started checking in the OC and same thing. Apprently either their were lots of collectors or scalpers just ate Long Beach and Orange County Walmart stocks for breakfast. We have a local toy show called Frank & Sons and I bet those bastards are selling them their at Terrorist prices!
