Does there seem to be extra plastic covering the joint?

Is that hot glue? If so, next time sprinkle some sand in it while it's still soft. Or get some sand paper with a fine grit and rip some pieces up, put those in at random spots on the twirling sand and then use the hot glue to cover the edges. Maybe a combo of both, so the sand just doesn't end at the paper, but blends into the rest. Then use the same painting technique you used here and it should pop better. Hope that helps.

See if someone can take a clear pic of the box and the price tag, take it with you, if they're price matching, maybe if you say, hey, I want to buy two of these at this price.. maybe they'll do it??? Can't hurt.

Saw some comic packs at Target today, Mandarin, Hulk...Pale Colossus... I forget the others, but there were only 3 packs there.
Sorry, I'm sure you guys already have them, lol.. just though it was cool to see new stuff out there.

Does anyone know if there are sites out there that sell custom ML heads? I wanna get a head that looks like the McFarlane art head, anyone know if there's someone who's sculpted one? or sells a cast?

Okay, I usually hate when people post links and say.. vote for this.. so I'm gonna post this and vote for whoever you think is the #1 rock band of all time...
It's kind of sad, cause the forum on this site has a huge Queen following, so they're spamming the votes with all their input.. now granted, I don't know many Queen songs.. so I guess that's why I didn't vote for them, but the other 2 that are left are Bon Jovi and The Beatles...
I went with The Beatles.. mainly cause, I personally feel that if it wasn't for the Beatles.. most of those bands would even be there, lol...
That and I can still remember growing up and my dad's juke box blaring the oldies in the basement while he had friends over playing pool(billiards)...
anyway... go and vote.. and you can vote every day, under the poll, you can see all the names of everyone that was taken off the poll(basically every week, the band with the lowest amount of votes gets the boot)...

yeah, I called one here locally and the lady was all "we sold out of the sale ones and all we have left are the full price ones" I was like... HUH?? I guess if they had the ones from Xmas(50% off) they're marking those down even more, but if they got new ones in, they're selling those for full price..
dumb huh?
Maybe try calling them and seeing if they'll match their online price??? anyway.. hope people get this, just flipping though my friends, it looks pretty cool.

I thought I'd share this with my TNI homies... I ran out to a local store today to pick them up for some local collectors and when I got back they released them on the website for the same price.. the original price was $85, clearanced to $60 and now down to $20..
I flipped through my friends copy and it's pretty cool, has tons of stuff put in the pages like reproduction tickets, badges, tattoos, stickers, postcards, iron on shirt decals, tons of stuff...
When we get our new place, I'm gonna put this on the center table to everyone to flip through... guarded by Yoda of course!!!!
Call your local store first, cause you might be able to just go there and get it instead of paying shipping(or you might be able to do the ship to store thing.. not sure, but it's about a 5 pound book, so I'm sure shipping will be pricey)...

I think they're both going to be in trouble in 6 months to a year, with the lack of movies and TV shows to put out, it's gonna be interesting to see what they do, I guess they can just start to put out older shows/movies for the people switching over.

lol.. wait, you change at TRU? I got all of them but the Vader one... but they weren't all that hard to find, and after I got most mine(some by myself, others local homies hooking me up) I saw a ton and left them there... now though.. it's hard to just find a regular figure, lol.. the shelves are bare

there was a republic cruiser that they made for C3, it was red, I remember Eagle101st bit on it but didn't win.

I saw one last night at a local TRU, looked like he got beat up pretty bad though, the sad thing(good thing for those who haven't ordered one online) was he was only $15 at TRU :(

I was having trouble with the checkout when I ordered mine.. but that other site is on the box... so maybe it's the same thing.. if you do get the fox site to work, it says ships Jan 2 so they might be out for now.. I think they're from IL(edit, they're from bolingbrook, IL), so you might still be able to get them by Xmas.. I dunno, but anyway... sorry for the quick pics.. I took them for another board to show a size comparison.. I was about to leave for shopping, but my plans changed.. so I'll take some more opened ones if someone wants..

Get acrylic paint, check your local gaming store and find some miniatures paints and brushes. For Bullet holes, look into washes. They sell those too at gaming stores, basically put some on and then wipe it away and it will sit I'm the recessed areas of the sculpt and add depth, hope that helps.
